Two of my sons have been been enrolled at Tutor Time since the pandemic started March 2020 as their previous daycare closed down. The center was very accommodating and welcoming with new children entering into classrooms mid-year. They helped my sons feel supported and comforted and had safety protocols in place to make us feel safe bringing our children there. They have both learned so much and have made friends. They even potty trained my two year old! They had a fun and socially distanced Trunk of Treat for Halloween and also just got an outdoor playground upgrade that my boys are so excited about. The teachers are dedicated and give thoughtful feedback during conferences. The lesson plans are creative and include lots of hands on activities. I would highly recommend this school to parents looking for a positive and safe daycare experience. read more

UPDATE THEYVE DELETED MY REVIEW SO IM POSTING AGAIN My son has been in daycare since 2 years old, never with any issues besides when he first started of course. When we moved to NJ he went to school as well in swedesboro. When we moved to deptford and transferred him to tutor time. Within a month, Hr would cry every morning, begging and pleading not to go to school. " I don't like school" "please I don't wanna go" etc. My husband and I just put it off because we just thought he was a normal 3 year old that didn't like going to school. He then would act out when we got home, terrible attitude, crying, hitting, it was almost unbearable. We talked to someone at the center and they mentioned how he wouldn't nap. Of course I know my child and I figured that could be a factor but they immediately dismissed any other concern. Fast forward a couple of months of literally heartache before and after school, Dmy husband gets a TEXT from his assistant teacher, saying she's quitting and walking out and she cares so much about our that she's worried about his safety because our son was being mistreated and she thought we should know. My husband immediately went to the school and talked to her, apparently two teachers were caught being high while "teaching" have been caught hitting children, falls asleep while watching kids and that they would purposely send our son home with sh*t in his UNDERWEAR just to inconvenience My husband and I because we were one of the last ones to pick him up for the day. I noticed on the cameras that this one teacher was ALWAYs sitting on her phone or the tablet they had. When my husband confronted the director she blew him off and offered half off tuition. My heart literally broke because our son was trying to tell us the best he could but he didn't know how. He's been at the learning experience ever since and has since never gave any issues going to school like he did before. read more

If I could give this location a negative stars I would. My current daycare is closing and we started looking for other daycares. I found Tutor Time and they seemed nice enough. We spoke to two of the teachers to make sure that they would be a match and they were fairly quite. Nothing that sent off any red flags so we started today. I dropped of my little one and went through some of the things that we brought with us along with how to work the reusable diapers that we are using. I asked if we could go inside to review because it was a lot that I just went over, but she said that they still weren't letting parents in still. I trusted them and went on my way. I finally got access to their webcams and was horrified to find my little one crying in the middle of the floor while teachers were gathered around chatting. After 5 minutes, they took care of my little one. Changed them and brought them into another room. I called then to make sure that everything was ok, and the Associate Director, Katie, said that they were taking my little one's temperature because they felt warm. I said that's normal since they were crying for about 5 mins without being tended to. Katie shrugged it off and we got off the phone. About 15 minutes, I see that my little one is in the class room again. I see them in one of the teachers arms and that teacher put my little one in the crib and I see that they are immediately crying and not ok. Another teacher goes over after a couple of minutes, picks them up and just puts them in the middle of the room and leaves the room all together. Does not ask any of the other teachers who are standing around chatting with each other to take care of my little one. I also see two other infants in baby bjorn's without being supervised all while this is happening. If you're looking for your child's basic needs to be met, if you're looking for community or interactions with other children and activities for them to be put in this is not your location. Our other daycare engaged with the children, read to them, played with them and yes there was an element of independence. My little one is able to preoccupy themselves once their basic needs are met. For example, their diapers changed, their fed, they're not cold, etc. Normal 9 month old things. None of these were met here. The diaper was not put on correctly, it was put on backwards and the liner was not even put in there. They coded on their app that they fed my LO, but there's no evidence of this at all. When I grabbed my LO, I met with the teacher and Katie. The teacher apologized and tried to justify what I saw. IE: there was someone who wasn't feeling well and left, the other teachers were talking strategy on how to handle this, etc. 1. The first thing I asked when interviewing the daycare was what was their turnover. They said they didn't see much and they don't close down. 2. The priorities should be on the children and figure out everything else when there isn't a screaming child and two others in baby bjorn's unattended. Transitioning to a new facility is going to be difficult. I recognize that there would be an adjustment period and that's why I didn't immediately pull my child out when I saw them crying on the floor by themselves. This went beyond that. This was absolutely neglectful. I am glad that Katie went ahead and terminated one of the teachers who did not act, but there are still three others who were there in addition, Katie, herself that is not being held accountable. My two granddaughters ages 5 and 15 mo. have been attending Tutor Time since this whole covid-19 pandemic started temporarily. As an essential worker and daycare centers being closed, I found myself overwhelmed looking for daycare, and thankfully was referred to Tumor Time. I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have found this daycare! From day one, the Director and day care staff have been more than friendly, respectful, and always willing to answer any questions or concerns I have. My granddaughters are both happy here. My five year old can't wait to go back the next day. She loves the activities, has made new friends, and is learning new things. My 15 month old has adapted well, and I love that I can see every activity and what they have eaten on the Bright-Wheel App. Recently, I had the privilege to speak to another parent who's children are also at Tutor Time, and had nothing but good things to say. I am definitely signing up my granddaughters to keep attending Tutor Time, I highly recommend it! read more

We switched our daycare facility at the start of the pandemic as only a few opened to essential workers. The teachers and staff have been absolutely wonderful and made the transition for our two children seamless. My children are excited to go to school in the mornings and love their teachers. Meals are provided (healthy and well balanced) as well as diapers which is something we weren't used to at our previous facility and it has made our lives so much easier. We receive constant feedback through out the day via pictures, notes, messages and the staff is very responsive to communication via the brightwheel app. My girls have learned so much since starting here in April. The directors are very involved and truly show an interest in the children and parents. Absolutely recommend this daycare! read more

My kids absolutely love coming here for Summer Camp. They always have a ton of fun and learn great things! The staff is so friendly and attentive, my kids love them all, even the ones who are not their teachers. School isn't even out yet, and they're already asking how long until Summer Camp! read more

I don't usually write reviews, but my experience at Tutor Time has just been so great, I wanted to share it with everyone. My daughter has just started there this year. We came from a nearby "troubled" school, and I was nervous Tutor Time would be just as bad, but if I knew how amazing it was, I would have switch long ago! The teachers are so loving and caring that you really feel like you're a part of their family. And I never expected my daughter to learn so much so quickly! Working full-time myself, I don't have time to work with her at home. At her old school, I felt guilty for this, but at Tutor Time, I'm amazed at the things she comes home saying and I know she's getting the education she needs. So, I'm writing this review so everyone out there knows how great this school truly is. read more

My son attended this place of about 6 months, and within the 6 months he was there he went through 5 teachers in one class. The staff change was very unprofessional in my book. Overall the school is nice as far as what they have to offer but that new director and assistant director are very unprofessional. They are very snappy and just not the nicest towards my son. If you have a active 2 year old this isn't the place for them. The school isn't diverse my there are very few people of color (African American, Hispanic & etc). The way the children get treated showed within the last week my son attended. Since the old director left the place hasn't been as welcoming. read more

Tutor was the first place we looked for our children to attend. After signing up, we cannot imagine what a nightmare it would be if we went with another "school". Tutor time is more of a school than a daycare. I can't say that for some of the other places that we've toured in the area. The staff is very friendly & knowledgeable. They know everyone's names as soon as they walk in the door and greet you personally everyday. The classes are small enough for 1 on 1 attention, yet big enough for the kids to have a great time. I love everything about Tutor Time! From the greetings of the faculty there to the cute and educational daily activities. I've never been more impressed with a daycare and the comfort I feel knowing my baby girl (now 7 months) is in such great hands! The picture updates throughout the day definitely puts a smile on my face, especially in the beginning when you do nothing but worry. My daughter has learned so much in just the few months she's been there and not just from the learning activities but from the other infants. My son has been in daycare since he was 3 months old. Staff and management here are wonderful. They are like family to us! Parents are well informed on everything- from daily operations, curriculum, staff training, to most importantly...your own child's progress. I was very impressed by the friendliness of the staff members, the cleanliness of the facility and the security of the building. Our daughter, Juliet, has been attending this Tutor Time for the past 2 and 1/2 years ever since she was 2 months old. The school provides a genuinely warm environment. The place is always clean and in order; no matter what time of day you drop by. There is always a friendly face greeting us with a hello at every drop-off and pickup. The staff is flexible, well-trained, patient and kind. The staff communicates well with family members, as we have always received a phone call as well as a boo-boo gram, if an incident or accident had occurred. They are great at updating and notifying parents regarding changes, projects, activities and or health issues plaguing the children. They have a daily circle / song time, crafts projects, various skills building toys/activities, and sufficient and regular outdoor play in a well kept area in the back. They do a wonderful job teaching infants and toddler's social skills and how to be independent and we love seeing the pictures of all the activities that they do every week. Most importantly, the staff members really care about the kids. We are extremely happy with our choice and do highly recommend this school! Thank you to the teachers and workers there for being so awesome!! The only negative thing about this school is the turnover rate. This was something I had inquired about before enrolling my daughter in order to ensure continuity of care. I do not believe that this turnover is due to poor management...It seems to be a case of some young women deciding to start their own families coupled with educational schedule conflictions as these women pursue their degrees. All in all - it seems when they loose one staff member the next turns out to be even more wonderful! read more

My son has been enrolled since Toddlers and will be graduating from Prek in June. He has learned so much and has built confidence and friendships. The teachers are dedicated and caring individuals, my husband and I truly feel they are an extension of our family. Their curriculum is awesome! My son knows the days of the week, the months and the seasons and I have never seen a calendar posted in his classrooms. Their learning is truly hands on and reliant on interactions with his teachers, a huge triumph in an industry where turnover is frequently a problem. I contribute his social emotional growth and confidence to his trusting relationships with his teachers and their communication with me. Kids are constantly engaged and excited to go to school. We are headed off to the school district for Kindergarten next year and I am tearing up thinking of leaving my Tutor Time family. However, I know they have prepared him in ways that no other daycare would be able to. He is reading site words, counting to 100 and beyond, counting by 5's, adding and subtracting. His writing is on point! And the teachers keep them creative by planning creative story times, music, and lots of art and painting! We love Tutor Time and highly recommend this school to parents looking for a positive and awesome daycare experience. read more
