I am not sure if the lady at the front it's the owner. She's definitely not friendly very arrogant! I replaced the heels of my boots. In my 30 something years of dealing with shoe repair ppl. When I've gotten the heels done or any type of service, the shoes get shine. I picked my boots up the heels were done but they were NOT shine. The owners have met my needs every single time! I have compared prices in downtown LA, Glendora, and Azusa and this place has always been a better deal. I highly recommend this place. Excellent customer service. Every time I bring my shoe's they leave it almost brand new.

I brought in my old black leather shoes which I had not worn for years which I chanced upon on my storage room. The leather soles were a bit worn and slippery and the heels were showing its age. I have loved these shoes for sentimental reasons. I wanted to see if I could still breathe life to them. Mr Jorge greeted me and we agreed on sole protectors to prevent slippage and new heels to replace the old ones but simulate the likeness. I did not expect much but was totally impressed when I picked the shoes up. Not only were they shining but the heels and soles appeared like the shoes were new again. Horrible experience and shoe shine. If you like getting your shoes sprayed with shines, and chemicals, your good at this location. This is a mom and pop business, they don't know about quality shoes or shines. I asked for a spit shine, my shoes were more dull than when I brought them in. The shoe shine guy said if I wanted the shoe to shine it would run me $30. People don't get ripped off. I was charged $12 for a dull look. Crazy!!! read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, GAS, OR MONEY. I went to Sunny Shoe Repair based on the two reviews here on Yelp, and because it is along my daily commute from the office. What a mistake. I delivered two pair of shoes for repair and cleaning. Despite my first reaction to the quoted cost, I proceeded with the work of repairing one pair of dress shoes and the cleaning of a suede pair of chucker's. When I returned to collect the shoes the first pair of dress shoes was repaired very well however, the cleaning and polish appeared rather rushed and incomplete. Some areas of the sole were not covered with sole paint leaving a discoloration, and the polish was applied very heavy and not properly buffed out. I accepted them on the pretense that the repair was well executed and I could have them properly polished at the shoe shine stand in the lobby of my office building next week. Not really satisfied but not really a big deal. Moving on to the suede chucker's. Do not allow them to service your suede products unless you want to pay someone to destroy your property. Rather just give the items directly to the church or Good Will now, because when Sonny Shoe Repair works on your suede product you will have no recourse but to donate them to charity because Sonny Shoe Repair will surely ruin your property for you. There was a water stain on the top of the left shoe when I first attempted to collect them. I asked the clerk/owner what happened and he said that it was wet and to come back tomorrow (Friday) to collect them. Okay, tomorrow comes and my wife is told that the shoes are not ready and to return, yet again, tomorrow (Saturday). Unable to return on Saturday I returned on Tuesday to collect the shoes. I have to mention here that I paid for all the work upfront when I first left the shoes eight days ago. So, on the third attempt, I arrive to collect the shoes and they are now two colors. Very dark tan along the majority of the shoe with a very light tan top (where the water stain was). The shoes were now two colors, none of which being the original color. Asking what happened to the color the man calmly said "what do you mean, they look good, no"? "No", I replied, "their two colors". We go back and forth and he says that suede is hard to clean, it's the best he could do and they look fine to him. We each calmly go back and forth some more and then he takes his dirty hands (his hands were covered with dark stains that looked like shoe polish) and rubs them over the tops of the shoes and says "there, does the color look the same now". I explained that he should never had taken on the work (and my money) if he felt he couldn't do the work in a professional manner. Bottom line, he never offered to correct the work, and/or offer a refund or discount. I feel that this man was extremely unprofessional and totally oblivious to matters regarding customer satisfaction. I paid $30.00 for "cleaning" and in return I received a ruined pair of shoes that will now be donated to the Good Will or my church. So much for promoting commerce within the local family run business community. Save your money by paying more and going to a professional company. Above all there's a lesson here for me. Never pay for service upfront to someone you have no past experience with. He may be unscrupulous but I'm the dummy. I wish I could leave zero stars. read more

This place is ok, I guess. They're friendly and their turn around is quick (thus far, I've only been twice). However, the first time I came in I had one pair of high heel tips replaced for $5. Not bad! They even threw in a shoe shine and fixed some scuffs around the heel. Came in a few months later straight from work (office job) and handed them a pair of high-end kitten heels (that I got second-hand) that also needed the tips replaced and I was charged $10. WHAT?! double the price??? They didn't even do the shine or the scuffs! Ok, idk if their prices actually went up that much or if they took one look at me in my office clothes and my high-end shoes and said, "let's charge this chick double". I was in a rush and had no proof anymore of the previous price from a few months back, so I had them do the work anyway. I would appreciate it if they had a sign out with their prices, that way you're not swindled. All I know is that next time, I'm going in my PJ's read more
