Brought my son in for his first dentist appointment here and it went so well! My son is nearly 2 and even though he started to get upset Dr Dustin was so amazing and made him feel comfortable by talking with him, counting with him, and pointing out the fun things like his dental mirror. My son loved it, was calm and did a great job because of how patient Dr Dustin is. All the staff were also incredibly nice and caring as well. The staff and Dr Dustin were also very understanding about having a child who still needs to nurse in the night - I didn't feel lectured or made to feel guilty for doing what helps us all get much needed sleep (even though it might not be the best for his teeth). We have been seeing Dr.Dustin for the last two years. We've had a very good experience overall. The building is brand new and the construction modern and clean. They have state of the art equipment and they are very kind and patient with weary or afraid children. They do a great job cleaning teeth and performing procedures while incentivizing children to cooperate and partner with them through reward tokens that lead to toys upon exit. I am giving 2 stars because the staff was kind, pleasant, and communicated great! Beyond that, I am disappointed. We were referred for work on my daughter's back bottom molars. During the consultation, it was suggested that we use sedation given the work that needs to be done. Understandable. Then we were told that there was decay on her front 4 teeth and extraction was suggested. This was not identified nor suggested by the previous dentist. Kind of surprised us but was relying on the expertise from the pediatric dentist. I had taken photos of her X-ray from the previous office in addition to a photo of her front teeth and sent to a family member who is a dentist in another state. He suggested we get a second opinion as that seemed like a drastic measure to take given that it could be several years before those teeth come in. I discussed with her pediatrician in addition to the front office staff that we would like her bottom teeth to be worked on & felt strongly to not extract the teeth but agreed on whatever decay removal/additional work that needed to be completed. The dentist did not feel comfortable with that and said he could not guarantee he wouldn't have to extract once he got into the tooth. But at one point it was offered to only extract 2 teeth? It was odd. But my biggest concern with medical professionals thinking they can determine what is best for our children. I respect his expertise and training but as parents, we too have expertise with our children. He told me "he extracted 16 teeth on a child once and they actually ate much better". Yikes. I was not opposed to care, nor hearing his input but I felt strongly on not extracting the teeth and he couldn't guarantee that. Super disappointed that he would gaslight a parent into believing he solely knows what's best without taking into consideration a parents concerns. We loved the original visit so much we were switching all of our kiddos to the office but I'm disappointed to say we will not be back. I encourage other parents who want their voices to be heard in their child's care to do the same. read more

Dr. Dustin and his team are the best. My 7 year old daughter has autism and she asks a lot of questions! They schedule her for longer so that she can ask her questions and they patiently answer her and make her feel comfortable which is hard to do. Harley is an amazing dental hygienist! She is the most warm and patient person. She is so good with my daughter like one of her own. Dr. Dustin is one of the most down to earth doctors also! He is so personable and never rushes. I'll start this review with saying that I have seen countless dentists in my life and my little one so far seems to have gotten the short end of the stick like her mama as far as being prone to cavities so she has already seen quite a few dentists too. I remember being her age and having such anxiety over extractions/fillings/cleanings. Watching the dental assistant yesterday with my daughter (I think she said her name was Tia) made me emotional. Listening to her walking my daughter through what to expect with the filling/how to communicate with them during the procedure....all I could think was how grateful I was that this is where we decided to come for my daughters dental care. Dr Davis was so great as well, very communicative and patient. They were both just incredibly kind and encouraging and I'm convinced that a big part of how well my little 6 year old handled all of it was because of how amazing they were with her. Let me begin by saying that I can not say enough good things about our experience at this clinic!! Our 3yr old has extreme medical anxiety in general. This apparently is amplified by 10x at the dentist. They were absolutely amazing with him & sincerely were so understanding & patient with him. He did end up needing to have a root canal & cap placed under anesthesia & they were absolutely AMAZING down to the anesthesiologist. They gave constant in person updates & made us feel at ease given the situation. We will be lifelong patients!! read more

My issue is with the doctor, so I'll start with the positives (spoiler alert: the doctors actions were deplorable). Kid friendly environment, entertainment and toys for the kids. Private rooms available for sensitive cases, and open dentistry areas with partitions between so the kids feel connected and know another child is next to them getting worked on too. Now for the Negative: DR. DOYLE, he started off with some good bedside manner addressing my daughters fears about them looking in her mouth. Not her first time here I might add. They were only going to put in a spacer, so he started showing her what they were going to do using her finger nail as an example. I was there for support holding her hand and reassuring her. This step went well. Next, the hard part, actually doing the procedure: NOTE THIS IS ON AN AUTISTIC CHILD WITH SENSORY PROCESSING DISORDER (she registers pressure as pain and is 7 years old). She started crying at first touch, and started to shake. To be expected from her and the aforementioned issues. The doctor began to try and soothe her, saying it doesn't hurt, at which point I brought up that it actually does for her given prior mentioned issues (my wife later told me this is not the first time he has been made aware of her condition). He keep my trying to work with her, and you could hear the frustration in his tone, and still decided to tell her that it doesn't hurt. We got to a point that it was decided that this will need to be done at a later time, and the doctor said "YOU CAN COME BACK WHEN YOU GROW UP...." My wife heard this too apparently but wasn't sure she heard him right and asked what he said, which he avoided the question three times when asked. I informed my wife of what was said after we got to the lobby as to not blow up on the doctor and become over zealous in correcting an inappropriate action (aka inside me wanted to figuratively murder this man with some choice words). I'm sure other doctors there are fine, and perhaps they need someone more versed with Autism and other disorders, but his actions were uncalled for. read more

This review is a little late. We saw Dr. Doyle in August of 2016. We had such a terrible visit, that it took me this long to recover and be able to write without hostility or anger. The office is nice and pleasant upon entering. The lobby/seating area is spacious and very kid-friendly. The front desk staff is cordial. The problems we had were past the front entrance and desk. We choose NOT to fluoridate our kids. I didn't appreciate the hygienists tone, attitude or her "schooling" me on why my kids have cavities is because we don't fluoridate. My son has a super sensitive gag reflex and the hygienist pushed to get the x-rays in and my son threw-up all over - he's 5. He did NOT have a great experience. I was told both my kids had MULTIPLE cavities and we needed to take care of them right away. We did not have insurance at the time and I was quoted $6000 (YES - SIX THOUSAND dollars!) and only given 4 months to pay in full. Making house payments or filling teeth shouldn't have to a choice -OR- financial struggle for families. We won't be back and have since found a kinder office. Due to the way we were treated - In good conscience I cannot recommend this office. read more

I was referred to Dr. Doyle from my dentist, (Dr. Killian) after being treated by numerous (four) different children treating dentists with difficulties for my son's anxiety and gag reflex (unable to get x-rays) when he was 6 years old, it had been decided by previous dentists that his cavity treatments were to be filled by my son being hospitalized and being put under with anesthesia. I spoke with my dentist about my concerns and he referred me to Dr. Doyle, I thought I would try another, and with great results, Dr. Doyle and his associates have been a wonderful asset to my sons wellness and calming his anxiety to be treated with excellent results. My son now doesn't fear dentist appointments and has been cavity free since his initial treatment! I have moved to Vancouver , Wa and continue to make the drive to see Dr. Doyle for Braven's routine cleanings!! The staff is friendly and the view from the treatment seats is breathe taking !! I didnt think this place was very inviting for kids or very kid friendly.It had just a small play area but the exam and xray areas were not kid friendly. Dr Doyle was very nice and professional as was the front desk staff, but I did not care for the techs. They were not very good with my 3 year old and didnt seem to really know how to interact with children. they did nothing to prep him or explain what they were about to do. They were rude and acted annoyed when he cried with xrays. That is why I went to a peds dentist office, to have staff that worked well with kids but I was very unhappy with the techs. I dont think I will go back or recommend it to others read more
