Most of the teachers I've met are really nice and seem to have great connections with their students. My only concern is the after school pick-up system is really disorganized and flawed. It's easy for me to just waltz past any teacher and take my child's hand unnoticed back to my car. I have done this a few times because it takes forever having a teacher yell each student's name individually. I would suggest they form 2 lines along the north building. One along the wall of the north building and one along the gate. That way each student can only pass thru the middle of both those 2 lines towards the gate where the parent is waiting. It would be a lot easier and safer than the cluster of kids standing near the office. I hope Mrs. Bonnet reads this and takes it into consideration. Overall this is a great school.

My daughter came home from school devastated about her photo ID informing me that she was bullied over her school photo by other children. She was telling me that they teased her for smiling with her missing teeth. So i asked her if they had any teeth missing and she said no. As i brought this to the front desks attention they told me basically it was not their issue to deal with amd redirected to me to the teacher WHOM IVE NEVER MET, and said handled it in the app. This frustrated me and made me feel like they were just not handling it professionally with explaining that the teacher will contact the parents and then maybe a parent teacher conference would he conducted JUST something settling. They assumed i wanted a physical reprimanded? Excuse me. This is a school.. Why would i expect them to whoop someone or discipline them physically? Just frustrating to hear them say that. So i asked them are they not taking bullying seriously in this state because we're new here and i dont yet know how they conduct things here and they said theyd just send a social worker to the class to talk to the kids and let them know everyone grows at different rates, dont bully anyone. However, we requested a new ID they made us pay for it because i refused to give the one she was BULLIED OVER BACK! hahah, so i paid. but i feel like i shouldnt have. anyways, so far.. not the best

The teachers often come across as rude and seem more focused on enforcing dress code policies than providing quality education and meaningful lessons. The school also does not reflect the Christian values and kindness it claims to promote. Everything seems centered around money, and some wealthy families appear to receive special recognition not because of their children's achievements, but because of their financial donations to the school. Overall, this has been a very discouraging experience for our family.

They take these seriously and have additional support for ALL children. It has been a godsend to not fear sending my younger two boys to school and having their spirits broken by the educational system. As a Jesuit institution I was very impressed with their inclusivity as well as the amazing credentials of the teaching staff. They are able enforce rules that the public school system is sorely lacking. My oldest son learned so much from his teachers and developed a passion for engineering through work at the "IC" which is innovation commons. He learned to 3-D print, program and loved the remote control club. This launched him into a career in aeronautical engineering. My younger son took enough AP courses that he is almost a year ahead and will be able to triple major as a result at Syracuse University. The dean, President and staff are so supportive. Their mission programs are also a unique offering that is life changing. My older son went on a mission to Peru that changed his life! It was hard work physically, but I was most impressed by the attitude change. He learned a lot about himself and the world around him. He returned grateful, no longer a picky eater, and with a servants heart. At Brophy they truly strive and help develop Men for Others.

I didn't make any "lasting friendships" and I'm not really one to take advantage of nepotism, so I don't foresee any incredible networking opportunities stemming from my high school education, but I really got to experience some wonderful things at an appropriate age. The most important factor of my education here was the integrated empowerment. This comes innately with most gender-specific education settings, but Xavier really encourages girls to become strong women. The parochial thing sucks, but as long as Arizona's legislature (thanks, Republican Party!) continues to wring out public education and teachers in favor of for-profit political garbage heaps like religious education, XCP is the top of the tower.

If you are a minority & are part of the small number that gets accepted, there is no one there who looks like or can relate to you culturally.
