It has ample pumps to accommodate a huge influx of vehicles, especially with its proximity to the Turnpike. However, update the pumps, islands and lot. There are a lot of cracks and rust everywhere. Some of the islands look like they are going to topple. In the end, it's a great place to have a quick stop to get gas and get back on the road.

That's kind of trashy." And normally, I would agree with you. But hear me out. We were in a pinch, and we wanted to go see the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie. And let's be real, when you're trying to keep a family fed and entertained, sometimes you have to make some questionable decisions. But you know what? It wasn't half bad. The gas station was clean, and the tacos were delicious. Who knew that a turnpike gas station could serve up such tasty treats? But if you're going to offer seating for people to eat, you should probably make sure the tables are clean and there are napkins and other alternatives available. It's the little things that make a place more inviting for people who want to come in and eat, even if it is at a gas station. Also, several years ago, they did away with full-service, which was the draw to stopping at this gas station in the first place. Especially in the winter, brrr. However, they never changed the pumps so you cannot use your credit / debit card at the pump. Regardless if you are paying with cash or a card, you have to go inside. Problem is, how about if you don't know how much gas you're getting? What if you want to fill up? This no-card-at-the-pump situation and the fact that they only have four pumps is very inconvenient. (see what I did there) The manager and staff are - for the most part - extremely friendly and helpful. One time, I tried getting a hot chocolate and the machine was jammed and the manager was quick to come help. Trouble is, there are a lot of people that just hand around inside and outside the store. Friends of the staff, just bored teenagers / adults, I don't know. But it makes it kind of awkward, like you're interrupting some big meeting when you had to trudge in to pay for gas. Also, on one occasion last year, a friend and I were going out and I stopped for gas. Needless to say, I had to go inside and the woman (age later 50s?) working in there asked me if I planned on stopping by later. I said no, obviously confused. She said something along the lines of "Oh, I thought you were coming back later?" I assumed that this was 1) some type of code. I won't speculate what I think she meant. Or 2) she was mistaking me for someone else. Either way it was awkward. I again told her no, I had no plans on coming back later. She replied, "Okay well if you change your mind, I'm done at 10." This really bothered me and I haven't been back since. Other cons: normally, gas prices are a few pennies more than other locations. And they don't take coupons. This is more of a 1.5 stars, I'm really only giving two for the helpful and friendly staff.
