When I did reach the counter, I asked for cigarettes and it was like interacting with a robot. No indication that I was heard, rigid movements and no talking whatsoever. I didn't even know my item was rung up and ready to be paid for because there was no indication. When I looked at the guy behind the register it was nothing but a blank stare. I felt like I could have waved my hand in front of his face and he would not have blinked.

It's changed hands a few times in the past couple of years, but the store itself has been consistent. The staff are generally friendly and I've never had an issue. I'd really love to give the Korner Store 5 stars because I just love how cute and close it is, but I can't for the following reasons...First of all, the parking is bad. There are only 4 - 5 spaces out front, which you cannot back into, since you are coming right off of the road and it's hard to see up the hill. Simply not safe. Since it shares the spaces with the saloon next door, there are times there isn't a spot and you have to either pull over on the side of the road or in front of the apartments below it. Also, they only accept cash, which isn't a big deal for me because I try to pay for cash as much as I can. They do have an ATM though. Also, no hot beverages so don't go in for a coffee. Again, not a problem for me because I don't drink coffee. This is more of a small store for regulars to pick up smokes and play the lottery. They also carry water, pop, and other drinks, snacks, and some random household items like toilet paper. Another plus is everything is pretty cheap, especially when compared to other convenient stores. Cans of pop are $.50 and most snacks are $.25 - $1.00. Not too shabby if you are on your lunch break and need something quick.

We went out for dessert and after trying a few places first ... we ended up at Sheetz. And boy was I surprised! It may be my new go to. Slushies for $1.19 and a bowl of ice cream for only 99 cents ... count us in! We even got some donuts and the cost came in way less than anywhere else we would have gone. There is even a nice area to sit and eat. Everyone really enjoyed what they had and I know we will be back again. As you can see in the picture there are lots of flavors to choose from.
