After all, it's not a Buc-ees. ;-) I have stopped at Stewart's Shops to fill up with gas, coffee and something to nibble on in multiple places when I am in their part of the country and I suspect I will continue to do so each time I encounter a location in the future.

I drove to the shop without an appointment and asked if they could fit me in sometime. After describing what was wrong with the vehicle, they said they could get me in today. Heck, yeah, I'll wait. Repairs (cutting and replacing a portion of the exhaust pipe) were made at a reasonable price. The car was so quiet afterwards, I almost restarted it, thinking it wasn't running. Anyway, a trusted mechanic, that's hard to come by these days. Judging by how busy the shop is, a lot of people appreciate this family owned business as well.

I picked up my car on Tuesday evening and when I got it home I realized there was a bag missing from behind the driver's seat, a bag of Amazon stuff I was planning to return, worth $45. So I opened up my trunk and realized a suitcase that had an air compressor, a tire repair kit and jumper cables was gone. Both of my bags with camping stuff in them had been rifled through, some of the lanterns had been taken, only the smallest one was left. So obviously my car had been robbed while at Tony's Broadway Auto Repair overnight. I went and filed a police report that night. The next day I called Tony's, told him what had happened, he said he would look at his security footage. I never heard back from him. So I wanted to warn other people about this possibility. I'll be going to a different mechanic where the security of my vehicle is actually important to them.
