Vick was busy learning his business and improving where he could, as any business owner buying a business with aging equipment and in a new market would. He bought an old store that was good, but needed work. He has bounced back, learned the clientele, and has made improvements. Vick is hands on and works as hard as his employees. He doesn't hang out and chat everyone up while his employees work. He's a solid guy. The food is good. The service is great. Vick does have a strong passion for being part of the community. Stop in. Grab a biscuit or burger and hang out a bit. If you see the FB page with a photo of a barn, that is not this place. Someone took a photo of the barn across the street.

That is a problem as hundreds of people need to inflate their tires each week after riding Uwharrie's OHV tails. I hope these are fixed for 2021. Anyways, great place with all of your camping needs, fishing gear, bait, clothes & food. All kinds of neat stuff. It's basically a mandatory stop if you're going to Uwharrie or Baden Lake.

They have the standard 3 grades, diesel, non-ethanol gas, and an area for diesel and DEF fluid for semi-trucks to fuel up. It's conveniently located off of 421 so you can easily get off the highway, get what you need, and get back on the road. As a Shell station operated by Quality Oil, you can use both rewards systems. I have not had an issue with the Shell pay at the pump system at this location. There's some grassy area if you need to walk a dog. You might even see a truck hauling a load of pigs, which always is a delight for my littles.
