After getting the item off the shelf for me, he asked if there was anything else I needed. I did self checkout and when I was finished, I realized one of the items didn't ring up at the price I thought. I went up to customer service to inquire, and the woman walked over to check the shelf price with me. It was my fault - I picked up an item that was not included in the sale. So I asked if I could switch my item, and she said of course. She walked me back to customer service, did the two price adjustments, all with a smile! I apologized since it was my fault, and she said it was fine - and she even thanked me! The fact that all employees and customers were wearing masks just made the shopping experience even better!

My one and only experience with Stop and Shop was dismal. I had previously gotten my first vaccine…read more without a follow up second appointment. I was assured it would be no problem to get the second vaccine at any location giving the vaccine. I had scheduled an appointment about 35 miles away and then i found out that Stop and Shop in my town had the Moderna vaccine available in my town. When I signed up for the appointment, I entered that I had already received the first vaccine and that this appointment would be for the second dose. the site confirmed that appointment with a follow up email. I then called Stop and Shop to confirm the appointment before I canceled the appointment I had previously scheduled. I was told "no problem." When I got there and told them this was my second vaccine, they told me they could not give it to me because they could only give the second vaccine if I got the first one there. Now, this would be fine, if they didn't confirm my appointment by email then by phone and after I had canceled the previous appointment where they would've given me the vaccine even though I didn't get my first vaccine there. Furthermore, none of the people I spoke to at Stop and Shop had any idea of how their vaccine website worked and were mystified that I was allowed to make an appointment for the second dose. I then went back to the pharmacy where I received my first vaccine where they told me they are no longer getting Moderna so they couldn't give me the second dose. I told them what happened at Stop and Shop, and they told me to go back because all of the pharmacies were giving the second vaccine to people who didn't get their first vaccine there because people move around and can't always get back to the same place. So, I went back to Stop and Shop, asked for the store manager, and explained to her that I couldn't get the second dose from the same place and that since they confirmed my appointment, they should honor that appointment and provide me with the vaccine. They refused. I explained that this would be a waste of a precious vaccine dose because if I couldn't receive the second dose I would have to start all over again in a time when vaccinating as many people as fast as possible is the optimal goal. Again, they refused and was told by the store manager that since it was March 20 and I had the vaccine on February 19., I was no longer eligible for the vaccine because it was more than 4 weeks. Since this information is completely false, the manager was disseminating false information because a) there is an absolute grace period of at least a week after you receive the first vaccine and b) since February only has 28 days and none of the other months do when the second appointment is scheduled a month later, it is generally 30 days after the first vaccine, making March 20 well within the appropriate time period. All in all, I was treated with a lack of respect and understanding about my individual situation and that in some cases, the individual need outweighs the "rules" especially during a pandemic that has put us all through a horrible year. Instead, I would suggest that our local businesses work with us for the best outcome, help those of us with an immediate need and understand the circumstances of a specific situation; especially when they themselves confirmed the appointment and for that reason alone should have backed up the information on their own site. I will never stop foot in Shop and Stop again!

This location is ok compared to the Rockland locations since I feel their a little more friendly…read morethan those other places. Besides them being pricey on most items can't really complain because most supermarkets are the same so it is what it is when it comes down to it, but of course I'll recommend coming here to shop if need be.
