This location has been there for 10 seasons and yet I have never been there before. It looks brand new, which is a testament to how well managed and cleaned it is. The staff were friendly, courteous, and lots of fun. I sampled something and probably could have sampled more, but we came there for the soft serve, and that's what we did. My sister got a Sunday and I got one as well. Only mine had more toppings because I just simply could not decide. Hot fudge for me, caramel because I could, and wet walnuts for my now departed mother who adored them. The whipped cream was delicious and the service delightful.

I hadn't been here in years, it was good seeing some familiar faces despite not visiting in a while. The first order was placed inside of the store, it was very clean, they're seating. They serve soft and hard ice cream. I also noticed that there were not dairy options. The second order I placed was at the window. The girls that work here were amazing.

Frozen Caboose - Parking on either side of the building. This side was the pizzeria. We might give that a try another time.

This place is MUCH better quality than others in the area and they have good treat options. Highly recommend it and they deserve the business, too bad the location makes it tough to find or visit.

It's a convenient location…read moreas far as parking is concerned - plenty of parking at the old Marshalls/TJ Maxx nearby to the supermarket in the same plaza as Mavis tires. Don't be fooled by the exterior, which looks dark as if it's closed. The lighting is in need of an upgrade to make it more welcoming, but there are plenty of tables to sit down and enjoy a very freshly curated bubble tea. The menu reminds me of my mini trips to Japan - particularly the bubble waffle, which is absolutely delicious. If you are a fan of the crispy outer crust of a Belgian waffle, you'll really like this style. I ordered the Matcha flavored, which had Matcha in the batter. The toppings are optional, and I opted for homemade mochi. That brings me to the mochi - I didn't realize they had mochi donuts, or I would have added those to my order. Speaking of ordering, it's awkward. It's set up more for high traffic, places where you can place your order at the kiosk, pay, and then wait for your order to be prepared. I was the only one in the shop, and I found the system to be a little bit redundant. Unfortunately, because of the way the menu on the kiosk was set up, I was unaware of the mochi donuts which are displayed in the counter, but you don't see them until you actually finish processing your order. I would suggest that management make some modifications to this so they can upsell But that brings me to the beverage and the waffle My order was for the mango passionfruit green tea with strawberry Boba. Surprisingly, they must really use fresh fruit in everything because the Boba tasted like fresh strawberries, and I actually found a couple of passionfruit seeds in the beverage. This was not a frozen smoothie type drink, but rather a milky consistency. It's not inexpensive, but it is on par with pricing of nearby Boba and tea shops. I wished I had realized that they had really interesting ice cream sundae offerings. Another thing that reminded me of my travels through Japan. The shop owner was very pleasant and was working by herself. It was a Saturday early afternoon and I was the only one there until my order was filled. Another person came in behind me. I'd love to see the Shop do well because it is offering unique treats to the other smoothie shops. I recommendation to the owner is to make some changes to the decor: I suggest getting some large framed art from Japan or Korea, or both place those on the walls instead of the menus which are taped haphazardly. It wouldn't be hard to give this place more ambience. Right now the ambience is at about a two. Some fresh greenery in the corner, some framed inexpensive, artwork of Asia, and brighter lighting will make a difference. Also, they sell some cute items like anime style, but it's at the register and once you've paid it's a little awkward to try to pay again so I don't see that system working either There are approximately eight tables which could seat up to four people at each table so you may want to bring a children's party or stop by after karate class. Unfortunately, I did not have my telephone with me so I could not check in properly and could not take photographs. There are some great ones on the website, but I do suggest going in person and seeing everything for yourself before you order at the kiosk.

More recently, a coworker of mine mentioned she had dined here. Hubs and I had just finished with a gender reveal party in Stony Point and decided to come here then afterwards head up home. Ship L. has a warm, woodsy charm with dark woods, a large bar area to the right as you enter. This place has a spacious dining area on the left with an old-school energy that feels just right for a long-standing rest'nt like this one. Service was great from everyone: friendly, attentive and welcoming all around. That said, awesome service and history can only carry a restaurant but so far. We were told their long-standing chef of 30+ yrs either resigned(?) or didn't want to work here(?) and based on what my coworker told me- that she noticed a difference in the cooking not too long ago when she came here. Sadly, it shows. Our escargots were extremely salty. My husband's pork chop was salty. His vegetables also salty. At that point, I held out hope that my Chilean sea bass might at least redeem the evening. No such luck. Salty again. Even the mushroom risotto- which actually had delicious flavor, was overpowered by too much salt. By then, after one appetizer and two entrées all salty, we figured dessert would at least save the night. Nope. I ordered profiteroles with chocolate gelato instead of vanilla and was truly looking forward to them. Except, the profiteroles were rock hard. The chocolate drizzle tasted like Hershey's syrup, making the dessert taste cheap for a restaurant of this type. My husband, who always goes for sorbet, ordered the mango flavor- but to me it tasted like an unripe mango blended with sugar just to make it palatable.. If you're from the Caribbean or know a true mango taste, you know exactly what I mean. And don't even get me started on the cocktails- they tasted more like juice than actual drinks. At the end of the night, we realized we weren't imagining things. A $245 dinner with weak cocktails, overly salty food and disappointing desserts was no balance for a restaurant with such a long-standing history. For that reason... we out.
