I hired this firm specifically to help prevent foreclosure on my home and paid approximately **$4,000** for their services. Despite that, my home still went into foreclosure. What made the experience even more frustrating was that afterward, I was encouraged to hire them for bankruptcy assistance at nearly **$900 per month**. From my perspective, it made absolutely no sense to pay this firm even more money for another service after the service I originally hired them for had failed to achieve the outcome I sought. The consequences were significant. In addition to the approximately **$4,000 I paid the firm**, I estimate that the foreclosure resulted in me losing approximately **$20,000 in home equity**. I walked away from this experience feeling that I had lost roughly **$24,000 between the fees I paid and the equity I lost**, while the solution being presented to me was to pay the firm even more money. While we have received occasional, brief communication related to our case (while it was still open), all inquiries specifically regarding the refund have gone unanswered. Multiple voicemail messages and emails have been sent over several months without return contact. We have complete billing records, payment confirmations, and communication logs, including documentation of the credit issued and the subsequent double charges that continued after that point. Now, we are pursuing formal options to recover our outstanding funds, including consultation with other counsel, and filing complaints with the appropriate regulatory and consumer protection authorities. Instead, my case dragged on for approximately 1 year and 10 months without a formal case review. That level of delay is unacceptable. When I appeared before the judge and explained the situation, even the court questioned why there had been no progress. I also felt my direction was ignored. Rather than focusing on resolving the case, there was a continued push to pursue attorney's fees from my ex--something I never asked for and did not want. The billing was excessive and, in my opinion, unjustified. Monthly charges ranged between $3,000 and $4,000, yet there was little to no meaningful progress in my case.
