If I could give 10 stars, I would! Both of my kids have been going to Dr. Halls at Sunray Dental for the past 4 years, and every single visit has been exceptional. Today, my youngest walked out of their appointment and said, "Mommy, what a fun day! I love the dentist!" I mean, what kid says that?! That alone speaks volumes. Dr. Halls is truly one of a kind. He is patient, kind, gentle and incredibly knowledgeable. He just gets kids -- their fears, their energy, their questions and turns what could be a stressful experience into something fun and positive. My children adore him, and as a parent, I couldn't be more grateful. The office itself is immaculate -- crazy clean, bright, modern, and so welcoming. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with smiles and warmth. It doesn't feel like a dental office; it feels like a place your kids want to be. I highly recommend Sunray Dental to anyone looking for a pediatric dentist who goes above and beyond. I truly cannot say enough great things about this place. I honestly wish Dr. Halls saw adults too! I'd be the first in line! Thank you, Dr. Halls and the entire Sunray team, for taking such amazing care of my kiddos. You make going to the dentist a joy and that's something I never thought I'd say!

It always felt like a one-size-fits-all approach with very limited options, and I was concerned about the way they viewed and treated my four-year-old. After reading reviews from parents with similar stories, we decided to try 4S Pediatric Dentistry -- and I'm so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredible with my son. He used to be scared of going to the dentist, but now he's actually happy to go. Dr. Arielle gave me multiple treatment options (which is all I wanted in the first place), and they were far simpler and less aggressive than what we were offered at Super Dentist. My son had a cavity filled today, and the way they guided him through the entire process was amazing. When numbing him, the doctor joked about having "sharp nails," and I truly had no idea she had already given the injection -- such a clever and gentle approach! I couldn't be happier with how they treat both their patients and the parents. Bonus: Kids get a prize at the end of each visit!

However, because this practice came so highly recommended by several people, I feel it's important to share my experience in hopes of helping other parents make an informed decision. Throughout our time with this practice, I repeatedly felt that the approach was more one size fits all than individualized. As a parent, I wasn't looking to challenge the doctor's expertise. I simply wanted to understand the reasoning behind the recommendations so I could make the best decision for my child. The biggest concern involved my newly three-year-old son, who has sensory and behavioral challenges. I had an airway appt bc of his sleep. He was recommended both upper and lower expanders. I went home and thought about it and wrote the doctor an email. I wasn't asking whether the treatment was appropriate; I wanted to understand what the potential consequences would be if we waited another year, given his age and unique circumstances. Unfortunately, the only response I consistently received from the staff (not the doctor) was, "she wouldn't have recommended it if she didn't think it was appropriate." While I respect the doctor's opinion, that didn't answer my question or help me weigh the risks and benefits of waiting. What made the experience more frustrating was that I couldn't have a follow up conversation with the doctor (only her team) without scheduling and paying for another appointment. After pushing this issue, I got a response "from the doctor" that I felt was AI generated. I also felt pressure to move forward with treatment because I was repeatedly told the cost could increase if we delayed. EVEN IN A MONTH! It left me feeling as though there was more urgency around committing to treatment than around helping me fully understand my options. Because I still didn't feel comfortable, I sought multiple second opinions. Each provider I consulted told me that in this case they would not recommend expanders for my child at this age, especially due to his sensory and behavioral challenges. While I understand that medicine is not always black and white and professionals can have different philosophies, those conversations made me feel that my son's individual needs had not been fully considered. This also wasn't my first disappointing experience with the practice. We previously had my son's tongue and lip tie released there as an infant, but unfortunately it did not improve anything. Looking back, I wish I had taken more time to seek additional opinions before moving forward. After sharing my experience with other parents, I was surprised by how many described similar concerns about it feeling like a factory. That ultimately gave me the confidence to write this review. I understand that many families have had positive experiences here, and I'm genuinely happy for them. But if you're a parent who likes to ask questions, understand the reasoning behind treatment recommendations, and explore whether there are REASONABLE ALTERNATIVES, my experience may be worth considering. I simply hope this helps another family make the decision that's right for their child.
