My kids have been patients of Dr. Ambrosio's for a decade. Hygienists, front office staff, and doctor have all been phenomenal. Every staff member is great with sensory-sensitive kids. They are communicative and thoughtful in how they approach dental treatment. Sometimes my kids have had a harder time with traditional x-rays because of their sensory sensitivities and if needed, they will use a dental cone beam computed tomography machine which they have in their office as well. They also have something called a Solea laser which is leading-edge equipment that makes things like cavity repair faster and more comfortable. I appreciate dental offices that keep up with technology to improve the patient experience, especially for kids. (Yes, I used to work in the dental industry too!) The office is clean, modern, bright, and the whole team is extraordinarily friendly! Highly recommended! read more

Great staff and doctor. This place is park for kids, my son loves to be here and waits for his bi-annual check up. The staffs are very friendly and flexible with appointments. Since we are working couple, they accommodate us to the last appointment and do not mind the extra time. Dr. A is great! I've been taking my son here for his dental appointments for a couple years now. He's only 3 so it's only been a few routine check ups, but my son loves Dr. A. She very friendly and good with my son. He loves that she calls him "boo". I feel like since we've started taking him to his dental appointments, he's been really good with brushing his teeth and flossing. I was recommended by close friends and family to this dentist and I'm so glad! My 3 year old can be a tough one at times so I was very anxious about taking her to the dentist, but her doctor had been recommending she go since she turned 2 and it was just time for her to go. The office is super cute and welcoming. Dr A. was already at the front desk along with her staff to welcome us in. The whole clinic was very clean and tidy. Dr A explained everything that she was going to do in detail, which helped my little one a lot and she was able to follow all instructions because of it. The exam was quick and my little one ALMOST made it the whole way thru with no tears( the buzzing brush at the end scared her but she still allowed Dr A to finish up everything she had to do). Update: My daughter had a consultation with another pediatric dentist to whom Dr. A referred us for further treatment, After a 5 minute exam, this dentist claimed that my daughter has weak enamel and 4 cavities that Dr. A did not notice! Dr. A saw my daughter 6 times over the last 10 months, and every single time I asked her if she had any concerns about my daughter's teeth as a whole. Original Review: This is a difficult review to leave. Dr. A has a great bedside manner with toddlers, her office is clean, and her staff are friendly. Until last week, I had all the confidence in the world in her judgment. Then she extracted my 3 year old's molar with NO nitrous oxide after we explicitly discussed using it when I scheduled the appointment. On the day of the appointment, she did not inform me of this change in treatment plan. (I would have left and sought care elsewhere.) Over two conversations, she failed to provide any reasonable explanation for this miscommunication. I expected Dr. A to make this difficult experience as easy as possible. We were in town visiting family and my 3 year old woke up with the worst toothache :( We searched for an emergency family dentist in 4S Ranch and luckily found Elite Pediatric Dentistry. They were able to squeeze us in for a last minute appointment within a couple hours. When we got there we were greeted by really nice and friendly front office staff that made us all feel welcome. Office was really clean and they took COVID protocols really seriously, which is great! We got seated in time with no wait, and after a quick checkup Dr. Ambrosio was able to find the cause of the toothache--a popcorn kernel that was lodged in between my daughter's teeth! When I called to schedule my appointment for my daughter they took my information and my insurance information to pre-verify everything would be fine for our visit. I was happy to find out they took our insurance and was scheduled a visit within three weeks of my call. When we arrived to our appointment the place was very clean and inviting. My daughter did exceptional well with Dr. Ambrosio. I honestly thought my daughter was going to throw a fit and wouldn't let someone she didn't know take a look at her teeth. I was very surprised that not only was Dr. Ambrosio was able to keep my daughter calm, she was able to get a good look at my daughters teeth and make her feel very comfortable. After the visit my daughter was able to spin a prize wheel for a choice of several toy goodies as a prize for doing well and we left with a welcome bag, a new toothbrush toothpaste and a little toy. We've taken our three kids to Dr A. for a few years now after we moved to the area. Initially I felt somewhat judged by her even though it was just for cleanings and I was told the kids were doing great taking care of their teeth. So I told myself I was probably over-thinking it as we're new to the area and still very busy settling in. Second year I felt more so. Third year when I brought in the kids, it was the last straw. Not only did I feel judged, but they seemed to have no patience for my 7 year-old who had recently been diagnosed with ADHD. He was very frightened and nervous from his previous experience with her. They did nothing to help him feel better. The hygienist lost patience, rolled her eyes and dove right into his mouth while he was screaming. My eldest has been having trouble brushing her own teeth due to autism and her gums looked a little raw, yet somehow Dr A. said her teeth were in great shape. The entire staff just seemed in a rush and tense. After that I decided we would never be going back. A few months later I received a letter saying that they had dropped our PPO. So I took little Nacho Jr. down to Dr. Fem-me to get his teeth cleaned. You know I gotta support a Latina dentist who doesn't get her Novocaine from T.J. and who's office isn't in a corrigated tin roof shack! Well I get there and come to find out that she isn't Latina at all, but Filipino. Well she has awesome creds and is super nice, so me and Nachito decide to stay. She is waaay laid back. Calm like she's on meds and a slow talker like she had a couple of stiff drinks with breakfast. But I think that really isn't who she normally is, but it's an affectation she puts to hide a 'type-A' personality and also which I think really puts kids at ease. So I know the rep of Filipino dentists...sore tooth? Pull that tooth. Swollen gums? Pull a couple of teeth. Teeth turning yellow? Pull a bunch of teeth till all you can do is gum your food. Well that isn't Doc Femme at all. She's got super small hands for small mouths. She was so gentle that my little guy barely was bothered at all. He loved the video games and toys in the office too. OK, so it comes time for the price. $250 DOLLARS for nachito's dozen pearly little whites!!!! Damn, she sure ain't using no Tijuana pricing schedule. I work under the table...cash and carry, so I ain't got no insurance. She is pricey. I guess she has to pay for her sweet new office in 4S Ranch, which is really nice. So in the end, Dr. Ambrosio was worth it and we will definitely be back in 6 months! read more

I didn't know what I was thinking when I didn't add her to my dental insurance plan, but fortunately, I saw an ad of hers from the 92127 magazine, which stated that the first consultation would be free of charge for children under 24 months. I thought that was an incredible deal, and of course, I couldn't pass on this offer. Her office is completely kid friendly!. She has two fun playrooms for the kids to enjoy such as video games, ipads, puzzles, etc. We sat and had our meeting with Dr. Ambrosio in one of the two rooms whlie my daughter was busily playing beside us . She sat in one of the little kids chairs while talking to us. It was a casual yet warm atmosphere, and I just thought it was great! When she went to check on my daughter's teeth, she also cleaned, brushed, and flossed them, which I believe isn't included in the free consultation but she waived the fee for us! Not only was she informative with what we had to do, but we also loved how she and her sweet staff made my daughter's first-time experience such a memorable and special one. For my stranger -danger daughter, they were pros- very warm, inviting, calming, patient and made going to the dentist FUN. Everyone is also fabulous with us parents- communicative, informative, always listens to our parental concerns and answers our questions. Now I have another daughter and she is my cavity prone child. Dr. Ambrosio blows my mind with how amazing she handles kids from cleanings to cavity fillings. My 4.5year old had her cavities filled and Dr. Ambrosio makes the entire procedure a breeze- her technology, expertise and how she talks to my kids. She is so smart and knows just the right mixtures to numb my kid's gum and teeth so it is pain free but her whole mouth isn't numbed (like mine were when I had cavities as a kid!) I was so nervous about my son's first dental visit as he is a very active toddler and is specially uncomfortable at the Doctor's office. But the moment he entered the office he was happily engaged in the toys and games in the lobby, which actually made him comfortable to start with. My kids and I love Elite Pediatric Dentistry! Dr. Ambrosio and her staff treat each patient (and family) as a family member. They are so warm and welcoming. The dentist and the staff were polite but it was obvious my kids were two of so many patients that day. I even felt a little guilty to ask questions as there were so many waiting.
