I've gone to different locations, most recently, Ft. Laud, FL....i understand problems happening, but no ice, this poor 60+yr old woman having to stomp on her own made ice, to help with her heart surgery, no clean water, an entire hallway with no septic...people pooping in the trash and when I called tonight to get info, I was rudely & aggressively approached by an employee who I have dealt with before, won't say his name now (M) admissions, you know who u are, but is NOT OK! Be kind and also understand SR may have had issues, but also did the people fighting for their lives and spending their income to get better during the facilities let downs. Best care Ever. The people there really Listen and Care!!! Very clean and the food is great.

This place has saved many of my 9 lives. Every one of the techs are respectful, compassionate and do their jobs to the best of their abilities. The facility is amazingly clean and kept that way 24 hours a day, the beds are super comfortable, and have a tv in each room. The food is good and there is a vending machine for extra snacks also Starbucks coffee in the mornings. The groups run are informative, and they always provide after care even if you don't have insurance. Some people go to nod out for hours on end and that's not what detox is about.. you are there to get clean and sober they medically detox you the right way. read more

Stay away. This facility preys on hurting families. My son needed to go to detox and was told the insurance deductible would be waived if he came to them, he was going to go to a competitor, now we are being billed for it and told that the person who promised that was wrong and we are stuck with the bill. We're having a billing problem with them as well. They turned us away at admission, telling us to go to the ER. No service was provided to us by them. Ones week later they're trying to bill us for $700. They literally didn't do anything but turn us away and they're now billing $700. Please don't support these people. Try something else (North Fulton Hospital ER is actually very nice, for example.) Worked today with Sunrise Detox and specifically a staff member named Brenda. Brenda went above and beyond to take care of the patient and ensure that a proper plan was put into place for them. She communicated in great length to our staff and advocated for the proper course of treatment and assisted in overcoming barriers. Have to say Sunrise Detox went above and beyond in my opinion for this patient and Brenda was a true example of what a caring and compassionate staff member can do to try to change a life. I write this, finally sober after so many attempts at this thing. I was in and out of treatment the majority of my early twenties. Sunrise was always the first stop on my way to treatment and I am so grateful to this facility. They will never turn there back on an alcoholic or addict in need no matter what their previous experience with them is. They are a staff of loving, compassionate, and empathetic individuals. They have an extremely nice facility (not at all hospital setting), amazing food (seriously, I can't stress this part enough), and anything you may need during the initial withdrawals from x substance to keep you comfortable (within reason). If your insurance covers a stay at Sunrise and you are ready for a new way of life. Make this your first stop. read more

Was told our insurance deductible was $1500, didn't receive an invoice, just a printed transaction receipt that just stated payment. The next day I was asked for another $2000 from the detox and then found out the deductible for the insurance was only $500, 2 days later they then said the extra $1000 was going to cover the extra two days the insurance wasn't going to cover! Why would they tell me it was part of my deductible? I told them I was transferring my husband to a different facility and he would not even be there five days, they told him we would get our money back, big misunderstanding! So the next day I had him transferred to a different facility and they are not going to refund our $1000! I called the insurance company and they told me I should not have been charged anything but the $500 deductible and that they should have not charged me for something since when he first got there, they didn't know how long he was supposed to in detox. The insurance company told me I was scammed and to dispute it with my credit card company because that is not how I was supposed to be charged. This company has done nothing but try to be manipulative when my husband was in there. He was brought in on a Sunday night of January 31st and transferred to a reputable facility by Wed 2/2 in the afternoon. My husband was supposed to go a rehab associated with sunrise, (Unity Recovery Center), they kept going back and forth and would not let me talk to my husband and tell him that he was being transferred to another facility. When the staff at Sunrise found out I was having my husband transferred to a different facility, they did nothing but badmouth the new facility; they even tried to talk my husband out of going to the new facility, I am quoting Linda the therapist, " I would not even send my dog over there". Everybody I spoke to at Sunrise was very unprofessional and even after I told them my husband was leaving that place, they did nothing but run me from voicemail to voicemail. At this very vulnerable time in a family's life when they have to put one of their family members in detox, this is not the time to try manipulate the family and ask for more money when they shouldn't have collected the extra $1000 in the first place. I am not sure what affiliation they have with Unity Rehab, but then I was asked why every time I wanted to speak to Sunrise, I had the big wigs or owners of Unity calling me. If they are not affiliated, why did they make this process so difficult and why did Unity go to the detox place and try to talk my husband out of going to a reputable place. Sunrise is a scam, they owe me $1000 and I still have no invoice! I have already contacted my credit card company and the insurance company. I am just appalled at how this place does business. Asking me for $1500 upfront for a so called deductible when it clearly states that out of network provider is only $500 is beyond me. At a time where we were the most vulnerable, taking my husband to a detox facility, this place scammed me out of $1000 and had the audacity to ask for more money the next day! I don't believe this is a reputable place and all their transferring me from one person to another was ridiculous. I had their admissions person from NJ call me and tell me that I did not owe then anymore money, the extra $1000 I paid would go for the extra two days of my husbands stay. Since my husband did not even stay there 4 days, and they told me insurance would only pay for 5 detox days, I am owed that money back because that was supposed to then be for the extra two days. I want an explanation and I want my money back from this facility; they have unprofessional staff who belittle and to say bad things about another facility when I did not feel like they were being honest was just disgusting behavior. I would never recommend anyone going there unless you want to be taken for all the money you have. This place is nothing but a scam!. They are very unprofessional and have charged us a we didn't have insurance, they have not even submitted the payment of $1500 to insurance company yet stating we only paid $500! Now they hang up on us when we call and will not give us a correct invoice. Very sneaky and unprofessional personnel, which starts with the head of that department, Mr. Akon! If I could give this facility no stars I would. This place treats its residents inhumanly at best. This is the worst detox facility I've ever had the misfortune of checking myself into. I volunteered to check myself in and was greeted by what seemed like a friendly staff. Once they took my money and I was assigned a room, the facade ended. I was thrown into a facility that was much like a prison. My roommate had his belongings stolen by other residents who walked into our room and went through our belongings. When we spoke to administration about the matter they did nothing about it! I had had it with the facility and told them that I wanted to leave, and they wouldn't let me! I came voluntarily! I was not under court order. One of the administrators ( I wish I got his name!) stood in front of the door and proceeded to use intimidation tactics in order to make sure that I didn't leave. I was polite and told him that I cannot stay at the facility anymore because I feared for my safety, and he told me that If I leave it will go on my record and I will never be accepted into another detox facility again. I call BS on that one. I still didn't waver and again insisted that he let me go, to which he pulled out all the stops and said that it is policy that anyone who leaves must have a ride or will not be released. (This is actually legally false imprisonment.) I then asked to use the phone to call a taxi and they refused. I had been there for 4 days at that time. I was a prisoner of the facility. When I was finally discharged I started suffering from PTSD from this place and tried to kill myself. If you care about your health and are honestly trying to seek help for addiction STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! This facility is the epitome of unethical and illegal practices and needs to be shut down. I am considering filing a lawsuit for false imprisonment and unethical practices. read more

I would leave a zero but wasn't an option. Just discharged and this place has some great people caring for you and good meds and food. That's about all of the positive I can say. The detox you receive is NOT specialized at all. Everyone is given the same detox for opiates. There are HIPPA violations all the throughout the place. When asked for lab results was told I'd get them later but need to follow up meaning something was off. Even after asking for records you're passed off and eventually forgotten about. Most of the staff pawns you off on someone else who then does the same thing. All the while going through very uncomfortable withdrawals. I wouldn't send my dog to YourLife Recovery. They are NOTHING but a bunch of liars. When my son made the decision to enter a drug rehab facility, I spent days calling different facilities. I wrote down EVERYTHING that was told to me by Logan. The price that we were quoted was a far cry from what they charged, and they are still trying to get more money after getting thousands and thousands from the insurance company. They billed the insurance company $26,000 more than what we were quoted. And now they are having the detox center (Sunrise) send us a bill for $20,000 which was SUPPOSED to be included in the price (which, again is what we were told by Logan). And my son came home before the thirty days was up, and the original price that I was given was for thirty days. The EOB from the insurance company also showed charges with the doctor which were falsified, as my son did NOT see a doctor on they days that he was charged. It appears that this facility is nothing but a stinking JOKE, and that they are ONLY out for the money, and will do anything and everything to achieve that goal, including not providing proper food for their patients. I am so thoroughly disgusted with everyone connected to that facility and I have every intention of contacting the state representative and letting them know how crooked YourLife Recovery really is. Sunrise Detox also has a thief in their midst as my son had some personal property stolen while he was there. The property was put into a safe by a staff member and it "magically" disappeared when my son was ready to leave the facility. Paid up front for x amount of days and they tried to discharge me early... it felt like to make room for higher paying customers. If not medically insured, you will get many different prices, it was like buying from a used car dealership, you'll never know if your getting the best price or if your paying more then others.
