First time around: I ordered an 8 oz (which is considered a medium, LOLZ) oat milk latte with one pump of vanilla and a little Quiche Lorraine (GF) on the side. The total came out to about $12/ €10. The gal who helped me was so wonderful! As soon as she heard me say, "hello", she switched gears and asked me, "English?". I was so impressed watching her interact with multiple different customers, seamlessly jumping from language to language. After I grabbed my food, I went and found a little table in the middle of the airport where I had an eat-pray-love moment with my food and coffee. Following my heavenly breakfast, I walked around for 2 hours and was drawn back for another coffee. That's how you know it's good coffee, folks. Check 'em out - it'll make your layover somethin' like a dream!

Also got a little quinoa salad that I typically pick up which is also tasty. I'm still not over the bread and kind of wish I got two haha. It's so rare that I find good GF bread in fast-ish food and so desperately needed something a bit more filling.

The space is bright, spacious, and impeccably clean, with a modern design that feels calm and upscale--perfect before a flight. Breakfast offerings are surprisingly delicious and well-curated, with both hot and cold options that go well beyond typical lounge fare. Everything was fresh, well presented, and easy to navigate. The full bar is a standout, complemented by excellent coffee, fast free Wi-Fi, and a relaxed seating layout that works equally well for productivity or unwinding. Plenty of seating, charging points, and quiet corners make it feel uncrowded even during busy travel times. A truly comfortable and polished lounge experience that sets the bar high for Star Alliance lounges. I'd happily arrive early just to spend more time here.

It was packed and standing room eating and drinking only. It was a pain to move around inside the lounge. The pop up stocked only prepared salads, sandwiches and jars of yogurt, tiramisu, etc. the food quantity was very minimal and average in taste. It was self service from the refrigerated cases. Bottled water and beer were obtained here and since these cases were located in the cramped corner of the pop up lounge it got backed up frequently. Staff at the bar would make coffees (one needed assistance on how to make a flat white on their machines), pour beer or water. We ate and drank as quickly as we could to get out of the lounge. Very disappointed and can't wait until the Loft reopens..

It's first come, first serve - self-served. There is hot food and snacks. There are toilets to the right. In the day time, the sun is shining so brightly through the huge windows. It's annoying and hot to sit by the window. The drinks are in the fridge and bottled. You need their bottle opener for every drink. I enjoyed the waffle snacks. Accessible with Priority Pass, which also allows two guests for free. By the time I left, the front counter was telling people that the lounge was full. They could enter but no seats.

The lounge itself is a bit rundown and could use some renovating (half looks more modern/newer, and the other half looks older), but there are decent amount of seats and tables. The food selection is not that great - I was happy that I picked up some food before heading into the lounge. Around lunch, they had some salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, potato salad that looked like a bunch of mayo, pesto pasta salad, and coleslaw. They had a soup that looked like an overly creamy clam chowder. They had some cheese and some deli meat. They had a few snacks (not prepackaged) like pretzel snack mix and breadsticks and some speculoos cookies. They had croissants and Belgian waffles. The waffles were just so-so. I didn't eat a ton of the food other than a few bites of pasta salad and potato salad, both which were bland and gross. The bathrooms are a bit small and could use some renovation but at least they have bathrooms in the lounge. They also have WiFi. All in all, decent for a drink and snack but don't expect anything fancy, nor much good food.

There were plenty of various restaurants, working areas and seating areas. The restrooms were very clean. After claiming the luggage, follow the signs to customs. Going through customs was to bad..... the signs will direct you which line to go to. Approximately, 15 minutes later, I was at the custom gate. After answering a few questions, I was on my way. Instead of taking a train, I decided to take an Uber to the hotel. Just follow the signs for the car sharing, taxi and bus area. By the time I got to the designated location, the car was with a few minutes. I didn't find this airport to be very difficult.

Unlike in Germany, it appeared that Brussels had not yet implemented the new customs system at arrivals so non EU citizens queued in one line. EU citizens zipped through with the electronic pass gates. However when it was my turn with the agent I only had to scan the fingers on my right hand, answered a question what do I do for a living and that was it. Less than a couple minutes surprisingl. Baggage claim was right after and then the exit. Very good signage that directed people to the bus, train, parking, etc. When departing Brussels, follow the signs to the appropriate terminal if not checking luggage. Electronic gates required a boarding pass scan to validate trip and gain entrain to the security screening area. At least multiple lines were open so it flowed well. Plastics baggies needed to hold your small liquid containers), water bottles emptied, belts removed but shoes stayed on. Immigration was next and much more efficient on departure. US citizens accessed the electronic gates with just a passport scan and photo. It's not 100% functional as I was told to keep trying gates until my passport was accepted (4th one was the charm). Passport still had to be inspected and stamped afterwards but that was quick. Overall 50-50 rating based on this experience. Hopefully arrivals will be much better after full implementation of the EES screening process.
