The care and attention to detail that was put into the sets and costumes was phenomenal, and the actors themselves were outstanding! Four stars is per boyfriend since he's the nicer one between the two of us…read more We walked into the Dogwood Festival when it was just starting around noon, as we had just finished brunch at Circa and obtained great parking in front of the restaurant. - A ton of tents not set up yet at noon + A decent collection at the car show, featuring lots of fixed up older cars. + Portajohns were clean and had no lines! + Carnival area was decent and featured the typical fair games/rides, but there weren't any prizes that we wanted enough to play for. + Food area had your typical fair food. We got a pina colada in a coconut ($12). It was delicious! + Performers near the turnaround. We walked by as some bellydancers were doing their bit. Overall, it was just a decent fair for me. Boyfriend said for Fayetteville he was very impressed, so there's that.

There aren't a whole lot of things I am impressed by in Fayetteville - however, the downtown area is one of them. A lot of money has been spent to refurbish buildings, build restaurants and renovate apartments. It is picturesque with a mix of historic churches, monuments and park areas. I don't really know what I was expecting for the "festival". There were a ton of food vendors in little trailers selling overpriced, deep fried crap. I am not above eating garbage, but even I don't do deep fried peanut butter cups and Oreos. There are also random things to buy like homemade knitted kitchen towels, candy, Bonsai trees, and various crafts. There is a "carnival" like area, but it closed at 7:30p. WTH? Not sure why they needed to close down so early. At Festival Park - there was a free John Michael Montgomery concert (guy was popular about 25 year ago). The "KidStuff" area was right outside of the park w/ free face painting and all kinds of "jump" house-type crud. I admit- I am weird. A big crowd of seedy people crammed in a small space doesn't do too much for me. I was just waiting to be trampled in a stampede or be shot. Closer to Festival Park - the crowd was so thick, thank God my friends wanted to turn around. It was about an hour before the concert, so there is NO way I would put myself in that type of situation with even more drunk people as the night progressed. We had a lovely dinner outside at Pierro's (review soon to come), but sure enough there was a fight out in the street before we left at the wicked late hour of 10pm. This fight starts and all these people come out of God only knows where running TOWARD the fight. Not sure if they were on Twitter, GangNet or what, but that's the kind of crowd I am referring to - not my scene. To the organizers' credit - there was a ton of security and Fayetteville Police Officers in the crowd on both foot and bike. I did read in the Fayetteville Observer that gang members were not excluded this year - I know an odd headline. I am sure that helped increase the festival's attendance. My friend and I both had on jeans and casual tops. Unfortunately, we did not know we had on way too much clothing. It amazes me how little clothing some wear in public - cover those rolls up! Oh well - not saying I would not go next year, but I wouldn't go out of my way either. The highlight was my company and dinner at Pierro's, but we could have done that any weekend. It's free and worth a walk around. I would not take any child down there at night - during the day might have been okay.

The parking is a bit challenging if it is your first time going to the theater. I recommend parking down the left side of the theater or in the parking lot directly at the end of the block on the right. I also recommend getting there about 45min early to get decent parking as well as concessions. The cast were teenagers and were truly entertaining. I will definitely start adding this local theater company to my list of places to go on my weekends and support these talented young people.

I purchased tickets on the website and was able to pick them up at will call. You can also have them sent electronically to you as well. Its in the very popular and very cramped Haymount area of town, so parking makes you get a little creative. We parked at a nearby restaurant that we frequently get brunch at. The box office area was smooth, as was the concession area where I got some popcorn and a water. We were shown to our seats by a wonderful staff member, and I had scored some amazing spots on the third row. The sets and the costumes were impeccable, the acting marvelous, and the experience outstanding. There was a small intermission, and I used the restroom, which was very clean. The entire night was just amazing. We learned that there is a huge expansion project starting this summer (2024), and all those additions sound pretty dope as well! Cant wait to see another play here!

It's not huge so pretty much every seat is a good one. The prices are great too! We sat front row (splash zone) for Gallagher and tickets were only about $40 each. We've seen Rob Matthews, Beauty and the Beast, and are really excited to see Grease later this year. They offer refreshments such as bags of chips, cookies, canned soda, water, and wine. I LOVE Downtown Fayetteville!! There are so many cool little places to stop in and there is so much…read morehistory. I have enjoyed all the many restaurants, and all the boutique shops every time I am in the area. I make it a point to come down at least once a week. Some of my favorite places are in the tree lined street downtown. There is ample parking in lots and also along the streets. There are also so many things to do! If you want to paint pottery or make candles or have a paint and wine night or go to trivia or an escape room! All followed by some delicious food. There are festivals all the time, as well as farmers markets and parades galore. It reminds me of the small-town areas you see in movies. Let's all keep downtown thriving!!

They closed the street in downtown. It was packed w all the zombies and ghost. People went all out and dressed up to the top. They also have a live band which make the event more alive and fun. All the restaurants are opened till late that day. Usually they held this events a week before Halloween week. I will def go back again next year.

After about 30 seconds of deliberation, we decided to peek-a-boo somewhere else. The club itself seemed nice enough...a nice bar, billiard tables, catwalk dancing stages complete with poles. But the dancers and clientele were almost exclusively the darker non-upscale variety (which I have nothing against but just not really my style). However, I feel that it was a friendly place as we were greeted by dancers and bouncers encouraging our stay. The clientele looked a bit rough as they rolled in driving hoop-dees and huge rimmed SUVs. Although we didn't stay, this place seemed like a great place for the right person.

The Fayetteville Area Transportation and History Museum is located in Downtown Fayetteville. They…read morehave a free parking lot for two hour parking. If that lot is full there is another lot by the Museum Annex. Admission is also free. The Museum is inside a restored railroad depot for the Cape Fear and Yadkin Valley Railroad. The museum displays have a lot to read if you choose or you can just look at the artifacts, so make sure to give yourself enough time. The museum covers many topics from fashion to banking to the railroad to the Cape Fear River to Civil War to law enforcement to the fire department to books about Fayetteville. Each topic has a section for you to learn about. The museum is on two levels and you can use the stairs or take the elevator. The Museum Annex is a short walk away and had displays with vintage cars; a gas station; an 1880 Steam Pump Engine and provides history about the fire department. Make sure to check out both buildings of the museum. I enjoyed my visit to this museum and some of the exhibits rotate so I need to go back again.
