During the initial quote estimate, they mentioned two (new) trees in close proximity to the yard that might have to be moved because of the equipment needing to be put in. I was prepared to dig around one to increase room, but it wasn't needed. Very detailed with pointing out why the tree had to come down! I received a written estimate via email later that day after we'd discussed. A post-cut walkthrough was done, which they initiated. Residual stump was maybe 5" tall. Definitely lower than stumps from a previous treecutter from several years ago. Obviously this can vary per tree based on conditions, but being so close to a fence, I couldn't help but to be impressed by how low to the ground they could get and how evenly-cut across it was. Really nicely done all around. Some residual sawdust is inevitable, but that's inevitable and the amount of time on cleanup they did was impressive. They even replaced the fencing I had put up to keep the deer away from the newly planted tree. Wasn't expecting that. :) Very impressed with the quality of work. Very professional and informative. 7/19/25. Mathew Hogan from Experienced Builders asked to inspect my roof after a hail storm in…read moreOlivia MN. He quickly surmised that the house suffered hail damage. He was top notch to deal with and was there when the State Farm adjuster showed up for the inspection. He coordinated everything about the re-roofing and was there on Saturday all day until the crew was finished. We walked the site and all work was excellent when completed, with attention to details such as 50 year shingles, top end roof vents adding ice and water around the vents and up beyond eves, clean up including tarps to check debris. He inspected the sub roof on both house and detached garage. He arranged for all materials delivered to site and the dumpster to haul out debris. My tenant complained about the roofing crew dropping a bundle of shingles on the roof and leaving a few nails (I believe it woke him up, but he was informed of the activity ahead of time). I am the owner and the landlord. Matthew and his crew were totally professional throughout the process, including one roofing member hopping into action after I open the garage doors and he saw some chips on the floor; immediately took action and blew it out. I have extensive experience in construction both with extensive home remodels myself, contractors building 2 of my homes and doing roofing jobs myself. I am now in the process of working with Mathew Hogan and Experienced Builders to re-side the same house and garage. I do not typically write reviews, but because my tenant gave a poor review and his feelings, I felt compiled to set the record straight. They stated that they only have a two year warranty. If it had been installed correctly in the first place it would not have come loose in 15 mph wind.... I'd highly recommend finding a different siding company that can install siding correctly so that you don't have to deal with this.
