Easy rental experience. I'm a bigger guy and my wife and I wanted to do something healthy with our 4 year old while we stayed in Sunriver. I thought it'd be tougher to bike around but the trails are super smooth and a calm ride. The bikes were expensive looking and rode well. Biking around to the shops and back to our rental was relaxing and fun. We kept discovering wildlife while going over the biking trails. Deer, chipmunks, woodpeckers, etc. It was all a short leisurely ride. We'd stop, the boy would look for a few minutes, then off we go. Beyond the rental, while I was in the shop people were coming and going getting things fixed, questions answered, friendly advice on parts, and buying seats or locks. The employees were genuinely nice people and I hope that they continue to be successful. read more

Located in the Village, this place was recommended by friends for ski rental. Stopped by in the evening; it wasn't busy and staff was friendly. I needed skis, poles and a pair of ski pants. Ski rental was fast and smooth. Ski pants selection was rather limited; looked like it had been picked over due to the holidays. Nevertheless, mission accomplished and we got everything we needed. We came here last week to rent bikes for our kids. John was super helpful. He put training wheels on the bike for our youngest. When our youngest requested coaster brakes (we started with hand brakes only), he quickly grabbed him another bike that did the trick. The service was great and, before we left, John recommended a 6(ish) mile loop that went around the airport and along the Deschutes. It was so great we did it twice while in Sunriver. This place is awesome. We were in Sunriver with family and we needed to rent a bike trailer to pull my 2yo, as well as a pet trailer so my parents could bring their Frenchie along on our bike rides. Not only did they get us set up super quickly with high-quality equipment but when I accidentally left my Patagonia jacket in the trailer, they reached out so that they could ship it back to me. Just now the great people at Sunriver Sports saved our trip by re-attaching our 10 year old's bike pedal. It had previously come off twice and we couldn't thread the peddle back on. We walked it back to the village and a sweet employee saw us and inquired how he can help us! Amazing service! They asked us what they could do for us! Then he called out to yet another sweet man (Bailey) to come out with a wrench and get us going again. Spectacular! Nothing was asked of us, Bailey fixed it up for us and was such a gentleman. Went to the bike portion to have my rear brake adjusted. They were busy but the guy took care of it within the hour. Not only adjusted the brake but replaced the cable (which was way past due to be replaced). Nice crew, very polite and knowledgeable. Reasonable price. This shop is a traveler's dream in a place where the bicycle is king. A polite, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful staff makes you feel like they want you back on the paths as much as you want to be there. The repair shop is fast and incredibly reasonable on pricing. They are far less expensive and more expedient than my local bike shop, and Sunriver Sports is in the middle of a cyclists vacation hotspot. One would expect resort prices, but that is in no way true for this shop. I came in on a Monday with a bad bicycle disaster. The team here had everything fixed and in top shape within two days, and for probably less than half what my shop would have charged. Their rental selection is broad and reasonably priced, especially for multi-day and multi-bike usage. My wife and I have been Sunriver regulars for over two decades. While the area has grown and has even more to offer travelers, it hasn't lost its touch. Sunriver Sports is a shining example of valuing its client base. read more

We stopped at this ski shop looking to replace a single snowboard binding strap that was lost on the mountain. This is a tough part to find in a shop as they're not really sold individually. The employee at the counter was awesome and hooked us up with the strap free of charge from and old set they had lying around! It was exactly what we were looking for. I am a devoted customer of Sunriver Sports! They have serviced the eight mountain bikes at my vacation property in Sunriver for years, and they have always provided the most timely and excellent service at a very affordable price. Most recently, their technician Jacob actually serviced the bikes AT THE HOUSE, and he did an excellent job! The bikes now run smoothly and they look so beautiful, as if they were brand new! Having attractive bikes in good working order is a requirement with the Sunriver Resort Property Management, so I am extremely grateful to Sunriver Sports for providing this outstanding service. Went over Spring Break and I could not believe this place charged me for an adult snowboard/boot rental based on the size of my son's boot (Size 7), he is only 11 years old! No where on there rental information was this stated, until it came time to pay! I didn't care for this. *UPDATE* 4/19/12- The store discovered their discrepency with the sizes by saying my son used an adult size boot and a youth board, so therefore we should have been charged the youth rental price. They were nice and helpful when I first went in to rent but didn't mention items rented are to be returned by 3pm. We returned our rental the second they opened and not only were we surprised by the 3pm rule but they were rude while condescendingly explaining the policy they never told me about. read more

They hooked us up with a three Giant E-bikes, the day of with no reservation, had a great time ridding up to Benham falls and touring around Sunriver. Would recommended, no problems with the bikes, and they went out of the way to get us on our adventure that day. read more

At the tail end of the ski season last year, I purchased some new ski boots and the experience I had was exceptional. It took no less than three hours to get a good fit and feel on my right foot which has chronically cramped in ski boots. With a smile on his face, Brian adjusted and readjusted and adjusted again until the was perfect. It took two days to get it right (my fault, not theirs). I ended up buying skis at the same time because the prices were so good. Because it was the end of the season and I wasn't going to get to use my new gear during that trip, Brian told me to come back if the boots didn't work and he would fix them until they did. I was able to use them for the first time yesterday with no pain in my right foot. I can't believe I skied for so many years in pain. I didn't know how good a boot could feel. I am so thankful to my favorite boot fitter, Brian! I went back today to browse and to say thank you (haven't been there since last spring) and Sydney, one of their employees, said , "Hey! I know you! You're a nurse and you bought new boots from us last year!" They may remember me for being their most difficult customer but the never made me feel that way. Everyone there has been wonderful and we are customers for life! read more

We hit Mt Bachelor 3 days over Spring Break 22. These guys are an absolute delight to rent from. After our initial rental, they had our equipment waiting for us every other morning thereafter. We were in and out in 15 seconds flat. When we returned at the end of the day, they came running and helped carry it all. That's probably not their basic level of service; I realize it's probably because they simply had extra time, but still, that's some great service. On our last day, I noticed some damage to my son's rental ski that I didn't think was there when we rented it. I mentioned it and they said that damage was already there previously. I would have paid for the repair and a dishonest shop would have charged me for it. One of our friends in our party had a malfunction on his own snowboard, and I suggested taking it in to Sunriver Sports to look at. They didn't have the right part, but they recommended the competitor shop across the street. And when I got my bill, it was a better than fair. Give 'em all the stars. read more

While making a visit down into Sunriver I found this bike shop to be the most helpful and professional. The reason I say professional is because when I was there I witnessed an explosion from a customer. It was busy and it seemed like the poor young man was understaffed - one customer couldn't handle waiting and blew up on them. For being so busy I was addressed with nothing but politeness and helpful answers. I would recommend 100%. Sunriver Sports it the most professional, knowledgeable and patient store I have been in inside Sunriver. I recently purchased a used bike for my son at this store (located in the Sunriver Mall - not in Bend), and the service we received was superior. Brian and his team in the bike shop bent over backwards to ensure we were happy with the bike. They serviced it, swapped out worn-out components, cleaned the frame and chain and adjusted seat and handlebars to fit my son. We must have spent an hour there to get everything just right and they were awesome with all of it. Not only that, they released the bike to us before they normally sell used rental bikes (around Labor Day), something none of the other rental shops in Sunriver would do without an early release fee. Great experience all around and my son couldn't be happier with his bike. read more
