They have been in this community for years and years under the name Harambee Church (no relation to the gorilla, may he rest in peace), but rebranded to Renton Community Church (probably to differentiate themselves once the gorilla became famous). The congregation is small and intimate, and folks tend to be committed, you'll see the same people week after week. Lots of weekly community groups, too. I've attended this church for six years and been involved in ministry here. This is a great place to get involved and feel known. Lots of opportunities to help make Renton a Kingdom place.

Of the programs that are housed at Harambee, they have an aafter school program and studio which are run by Cry Out!, a weekly homeless dinner run on Saturdays by The Refuge and a monthly open mic run on the last friday of every month by Cultivate.
