We noticed Blue Ridge Realty had several listings, so we called them up to see a couple of the houses. This is how we met Angie Hambling and began our home hunting adventure. We met with Angie, and described what we were looking for. She went right to work and nearly everyday we went out to see homes. She took us from Maggie Valley to Andrews, Robbinsville to Highlands, all over WNC. From nice paved roads to mountain top gravel 4WD roads, there was no terrain that kept her from getting us to the home she was showing. It's no exaggeration that we must have looked at 40 homes before we found the one for us. We would be remiss in not stating that spending 2 months searching for, and then closing on a house, is never a thrilling experience, but Angie's positive attitude and warm and friendly personality made the effort fun and rewarding. We always felt that we were out with a friend. We will also add that the entire staff at Blue Ridge Realty made us feel welcome and appreciated. Thanks again Angie. Olivette is an absolutely gorgeous community with a lovely event space…read more The staff is super friendly and helpful and the event space for weddings or private events is right on the river with mountains as a backdrop. It truly doesn't get much better than this lovely view. They have a little Island surrounded by the river, with a bridge leading to it as a ceremony space for weddings. It is serene and inviting. They also have a large fire pit with built in tiered stone seating around it. The covered pavilion nearby makes a great space for a wedding reception, a family reunion or really any gathering. The grounds at Olivette are well-maintained, green and beautiful. There are wild flowers growing, healthy trees and lots of trails. The houses on the land are stunning. They're all new and from what I was reading on their website are energy efficient with beautiful views of the river or the forest. I would love to live here or attend another event here. Our estate sale did not go well. The owners told us they typically sale 95% of an estate but we…read moresold less than 50%. They promised things they didn't do, took some improvement papers out of the house after we asked them not to move them, then sent some unrelated documents in their place. Mike seemed to be very upset when asked about them. He was a very unpleasant person to deal with and seemed to blame any issue on someone else. I was warned not you use them but went against my better judgement. So glad to be finished with this "company"
