By far the worst motel I have ever stayed in. 1 star is generous. First of all I wasn't planning…read moreto stay in this God forsaken town but a blizzard and I-80 closing had other plans. So allow me to describe the room. We were in room 2. The door barely opened. A very very small room with nothing but cheap thin wood paneling on the walls, tile like you would expect to see in a classroom or medical examiner's office. The ceiling was bowed down from water damage and was riddled with water stains. There was no heat....you read that right...motel in Wyoming and NO HEAT except a tiny space heater the type you might find under a office workers desk. Certainly not enough to heat a room even as small as this one. The walls had a thick red substance on them near the bed. I chose to believe it was Ketchup. So the absense of a suitable heat source, the snow coming in from under the door and the cold tile floor make for an incredibly frozen floor. I figured out that if I used one of the bath towels that felt as soft as sand paper under my feet and shuffled my ass into the bathroom, I could prevent my testicles from retracting into my throat. The bed featured a uneven worn out lumpy mattress and 25 count sheets. The metal bath tub was rusted in places and that was the clean part. The sink had 5 cracks in it. The room was a nightmare. When I turned on the lights I thought the floor was moving. I then realized it was just the hoard of cock roaches scattering across what was left over from the chalk outline of the last occupant. Outside once you get past the 3' untouched snow drifts you come upon the owners 5th wheel rv trailer. It was missing almost an entire exterior wall. A wonderful eye sore indeed. In the smelly dank office...or store...or storage unit or what ever they call it you are greeted by the most annoying little yapping dog that has ever infected the planet. Behind the counter was a life sized doll standing in the corner next to 2 dozen oxygen tanks...not sure what was up with that. They charge $59 to stay for one night or as was pointed out to me, 8 hours. We checked out hours before the road reopened because sitting in the truck sounded more appealing at that point. Now I am not saying this is the WORST motel ever but if Norman Bates were to be in town I suspect even he would say HELL NO, or ask mother to kill HIM. Needless to say I suggest you avoid this place like a dead beat dad avoids child support.

Breakfast was phenomenal several choices including fresh fruit cereal muffins bagles toast and pastries even had hot omelets ham and waffles !! The apple cinnamon waffles were the favorite across the board!!! The only reason I can not give a full 5 star review is because unfortunately the evening staff Naomi was highly unprofessional and rude durring ever encounter we had with her . I called ahead and was told there only 1 room left available which was great as we only needed 1 room when we asked about roll away beds or roll away cribs for the toddler and my daughter we were met with huffy and eye rolls before being told they had a pack and play but they would need to find it ... we asked multiple times durring check in if the military rate had been applied she said "yeah i know what im doing " we were then informed that if our kids ate in the rrom and left a mess or open cups that we would charged an additional 200$ for cleaning which i though was odd but okay when we get to our room 312 the ac unit in the room was not working attempted to call the front desk no answer went to the desk to let her know the room was very hot and the ac wasnt working .. again i was met with a very condescending reaponse and snarky tone " did you try the window unit or the actual thermostat on the wall?" I explained i didnt even think to look for a thermostat as ive never seen that in a hotel room before and she smirked at me and said "yeah try that ..." attempted to call the front desk multiple times before reaching anyone and inquire as neither the unit or the thermostat were working.. before i could finish explaining she very rudely cut me off and practically scolded me while saying" I can change you rooms but that's all I can do!" And hung up..we got to our new room as it was late we decided to inquire again about the pack n play so we could get the baby situated. After 5 tries and no answer we headed to the front desk for the 3rd time since check in and honestly the manner in which we were treated almost made us take the L and leave but over all I'm glad we stayed as the morning staff was absolutely amazing ! Kind attentive patient and very pleasant over all. Found out at checkout that the night girl did not apply the military rate despite being given our active duty ID and that many of the things she told us were untrue and unnecessary... As a side note listening to her tell multiple people " oh we only have 1 room left and purposely pressure people into booking upcharged rooms seems pretty unethical and sadly I don't think my family and I will be returning to this hotel in our future travels !!!!!

Holy moly, this is the second hotel in 2 weeks whose cable service is seriously messed up...don't…read morestay in room 202 or 200 if a game is on tbs, or tnt you won't catch it...asked the front desk said it should work....it's not...VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!
