Went to sell my chain that was stamped 14k and was abruptly told that it wasn't real. I was then asked if I could tell how it wasn't real and I said no and asked how he could tell. this is the only place to take your jewelry. On a loan, you will get the best interest rate around and on a buy in, there is nobody that will come even remotely close to being as fair. The owner shows honesty and integrity that this industry very much lacks. If you are buying, selling or taking a short-term loan, Kirk gives you his undivided attention and answers any questions you have. If he is busy when you drop in, he will tell you approximately when he expects to be done with his client so you have the choice of waiting or running a couple of errands and returning. His courtesy and "hospitality" are exceeded only by the breadth of knowledge he has about the merchandise he buys, sells and accepts as collateral. While we all think we know a lot about the jewelry we have bought, it is sobering when you realize the mark up on that jewelry was at least 800% and it was not an investment, unless it's solid gold or Elizabeth Taylor owned it at one time.
