I thought maybe I would be the first one to write and I thought maybe that would be hard and an odd thing to do. but obviously everyone feels the same way I do but ig not And I just wanted to mention that I know open casket funeral for someone I love has always been a concept that is too hard for me to wrap my head around for fear that they would make up my love one as they saw fit instead of as who everyone really new in real life. So it turns out the most thoughtful part of the experience for me was the care and dedication to who my love 25 really was and this was showed through the staff because we had an open casket and they truly captured the essence of who I lost. We visited…read morethe store less than two weeks after the loss of my adolescent child - the man that helped us could have been selling us a couch for all the compassion/empathy he showed. Not even a "sorry for your loss", "condolences", nothing. After many months of text messages trying to get updates, ultimately, we were told he would send us a picture of the stone when it was up to let us know it had been installed. A week after it was actually installed, we received a text message. I had already discovered it had been installed when I went to the cemetery - which only added to my emotional distress. Given the nature of this business, I hope this review will encourage staff to consider the situations that their "customers" are in and get some training on grief and just kindness in general.
