These folks work magic…read more I had a horrible diabetic leg and foot situation and after a week in the hospital and two months of follow-up with Lex Med, I was sliding backward and thought there was a good chance I'd lose my leg at the knee. A week after my first examination here, there was noticeable improvement. This continued every week thereafter. Three months later, and my foot (which I really thought was a goner) is healed and my shin is now shin shaped again. Lisa and Linda take such good care of you. They are knowledgeable and encouraging and light-hearted. The rest of the staff is just as helpful and pleasant (unlike LFP) and the whole visit is without stress. If you're coming here, you already have enough stress, right? Lisa also makes an extra effort working with your insurance to ensure maximum coverage. Gold Star, Lisa! My travel nurse, Lynn Stogner, walked me through my trip details and what vaccines were recommended. She explained the variations of vaccines for certain illnesses and the possible side effects I could experience. Additionally, she reviewed some dos/don'ts of eating, drinking, swimming, etc., as well as provided consulate and embassy information for the countries to which I am traveling. West Columbia, Sunset Blvd…read more We came here for planned delivery, so L&D and post partum, 5th floor East elevators, of north tower. L&D floor we had no complaints very competent. C section requires 2-3 days post op in hospital. For my perspective of the support person I enjoyed my time away from home. First off, you get room service prepared within 90 minutes of order, 3 meals a day included in what you've already paid the hospital. The food was not chef quality but I found it adequate. Another big plus was the 3 piece bathroom within the hospital room. The shower has a curtain but no base only two drains on floor. So water easily can cover the floor which I didn't like but unlimited hot water was soo nice. Also the sofa for support person was nice to me. It is long enough can stretch legs out (5'11") and comfortable for my back. As for my wife's care, it was a hit or miss depending on which nurse shift working. There were a few times she would be scheduled to have pain meds and nurse would not deliver on time but several hours later or sometimes forgot all together. I think the best word to describe a lot of the staff was unreliable. They would say yes we are going to do this then you're left waiting when is it going to get done. This is for baby photographer, nursing, lactation nurse, OB doctor on-call. One of the OB doctors barely spoke English, I thought we were on a hidden camera show how comical his treatment was. The on-call Pediatrician we did like even inquired if she was available afterwards, Dr Mobley. The hospital infrastructure of how it runs is fine just some of the staff create questions to their competency.

Because of a doctor's "bad judgment", he is still here two weeks later. I am beyond furious. My Dad is way too nice and had me buy a whole lot of food for all the nurses. Some of the nurses are helpful. A couple should not be working with patients. That includes a phlebotismist and someone from the lab. I won't go too much into detail. If I did live in the area, I would only come here if it were a true emergency. I am not familiar with the other hospitals in the area, but I am pretty positive any of them are better than this one. I understand medical staff have a lot of stress but some of the people working here are just in it for the money. No.doubt. They absolutely could care less about patient care. My Dad talked to a manager regarding how he was treated. You know what they did? They gave him a formal letter of apology along with a gas gift card. How bizarre to give a patient a gas gift card! At least they owned to one of the mistakes their employee made. Sadly, there are several others. And it just keeps going...

This office also ignores pharmacy refill requests, forcing patients to intervene unnecessarily. The termination letter cited "loss of mutual respect," yet billing $356 for a routine refill hardly shows respect for long-standing patients. This practice's behavior is exploitative and harmful - and I see from the other reviews, this is not the first time Lexington Family Practice has treated its patients with such disregard. My family and I are not sad that we will be finding another practice.
