I contacted my insurance company (I have a $100 deductible) for a windshield installer recommendation. The company they recommended was asking $738 for the windshield replacement. When I questioned the price, they said it includes recalibration of the forward facing camera behind the windshield because my car had ADAS features. I searched for other windshield installers and came up on Jerry's Auto Glass Inc., what a fortunate find! Jim at Jerry's Auto Glass Inc. explained to me the forward facing camera did not need to be recalibrated unless the installer was to move it, which a good installer won't do. After learning this, in my view, companies that require camera recalibration before installing a replacement windshield is lining their pockets with an unnecessary service . When I contacted my insurance company to inform them, I was using Jerry's Auto Glass Inc. they still tried to get me to hire their recommendation, even though it would cost them over $400 more for my windshield replacement, stating their recommended company would guarantee the workmanship against leaking for five years I didn't relay this information to Jim at Jerry's auto glass and he stated their workmanship was guaranteed as long as I own the car. Jim took a phone call while I was waiting on my windshield installation to be completed, the caller had a concern of a leak around the sunroof of a Toyota vehicle. Jim gave him advice on cleaning the sunroof drains which might alleviate the problem before spending money by bringing the vehicle in. Now that's awesome for a business owner to do. I saved my insurance company over $400 and I couldn't be happier. Give Jerry's Auto Glass Inc. a try and you'll be pleased too! I was in and out in an hour and 10 minutes.

I bought some from Lowe's and my husband and I tried to install it ourselves. What a disaster that was. I then saw an ad in the Mountaineer for Ecoarc. They are a local company that installs window film both for businesses and residential. I called them and got a reasonable estimate. I agreed to the work and they were here just a few days later and did an amazing job. Bryant (one of the owners) arrived at my home on time. Came to the door wearing a mask and proceeded to install the film. He did a professional job and it looks wonderful.
