Had an appointment here Saturday, Gilbert got me in for the tint on my Sons car . Explained all the differences and what would be best in a first time drivers car. Excellent quality and service, will be back soon to redo my car also. Sunshield Window Tint is incredibly efficient, reasonably priced, and insanely quick! I was looking to get my Kicks tinted and he was the third person I reached out to but the first to reply and his prices were so good I called immediately to get on his schedule. My appointment was for 9a on a Saturday and I was out of his shop by 9:50a! The owner feels extremely genuine and he cares deeply about his customers. I'll recommend him to anyone who needs tint and I'll be back for every car I own! read more

Our son worked with Gilbert for today's appointment via email. We showed up, doors locked, called. Gilbert said he's 10-15 mins away. We sat in a hot car for 40 mins waiting. Called back just went to voicemail. No service for us... sadly we needed the repair and trusted the prior reviews. read more

I always excessively research all of my purchasing decisions on the internet from the best materials to use and why including the professionals applying them. I even researched the various car forums online. I located 5 dealers whose sites claimed to handle Hyper Optik and sent each the same email inquiry. Only four replied and only two actually had the materials that I requested. The other two were now promoting a different brand of tint. I don't have an issue with them promoting a different brand since everyone is looking for a competitive edge but I do mind that you aren't honest about it on your website. I selected "Sunshield Window Tint" are a few email exchanges with Gilbert. As the other reviews indicate and are true, he is a very nice and professional person. I drove out to Gilbert's location "Sunshield Window Tint" from Rowlett to get my tint done. The crew performed a fantastic job on my new 2018 Dodge Challenger Hellcat by applying Huper Optik Ceramic throughout and Air 80 on the windshield. This is a thicker tint than other brands so it is more difficult to apply. During the final inspection, we did find some air bubbles on the edges as we were inspecting but Gilbert and team worked all of those air bubbles out by coaxing them all to the edge. Cabin temperature is greatly improved by the dual ceramic layers removing a substantial amount of the Texas heat thereby increasing occupant satisfaction of the ride. Plus it removed a fantastic amount of glare (that was a double unexpected bonus). My first time doing the windshield and was very impressed with the results. I highly recommend that you try it. Bottom line is that it looks great and feels great. Need tint? Get out to Sunshield Window Tint and Git R Done! read more

I waited 2 weeks to write this review to ensure there were no issues with the tint. Gilbert is a very nice guy and did an amazing job tinting my Audi. He answered my phone call immediately and tinted my car the same day I called. He has a place in Farmersville but I met him at the McKinney Mercedes dealership where he has a special room in the back where he applies the tint for all the Mercedes cars at the dealership (yes, the really expensive new cars, so you know he is good). I will be using Gilbert from now on. The tint made a huge difference in heat inside the car and it provided privacy as well. Thank you so much Gilbert! read more

My husband called around to several places and did some research before selecting Sunshield. He selected Sunshield to tint his car windows after speaking to the owner, Gilbert, over the phone because he was very professional, knows his product and just a genuinely nice person to deal with. My husband bought this car in Boston with no tint and when summer rolled around here in Texas we felt like we were baking inside of the car. Called mid day to see if I could make an appointment and was given the option to meet at a closer location. Was given priority and was met with super friendly service. As soon as I showed up my truck was pulled in and started on. Completed all the windows in less than 2 hours and the finished product looks great. Also very military friendly. 10/10 read more

When we ran into a problem with the cabling that came with my cameras being too short, they tried extending in the shop at my direction. That didn't work, so I was able to get a replacement and extension cable from the supplier, and they put that new cable in for me at no charge. The labor rates are reasonable. Before doing this I thought about going to another town to get this done because of the 1-star review, but now I don't think that's necessary. That review is unrepresentative of my experience.

Before we found Sonrise, even with the AC blaring in our car, it was still super hot in the car. And certainly when we first get in the car, all the touch points were scorching hot. Our toddler would be fussy and upset and complain constantly that her back was hot in the carseat. We searched for window tint companies and found Sonrise. We made a phone call and Steven was quick to answer. He thoroughly gave me an education on the different kinds of materials available and the pros to each material choice. He answered all my questions and concerns and was super accomodating to our schedule since we needed to tint two cars. On the day of the work, he showed us the different shades and explained what it would look like in the evening time with each tint darkness. He helped us pick out the right shade of tint for our cars. And even showed us how the front windshield they use a helpful visual. He tiend on a lught that imitated solar energy. And showed us a meter showing the read. And how with the front windshield tint they use it drastically lowers the solar energy allowed in the car. It's been 4 days since our windows and front and back windshields got tinted. We definitely experience a drastic difference in getting back in a parked car. It is way cooler. And my eyes arent hurting from too bright light anymore. Thank you Sonrise for taking such great care of us!!

After researching several different tint films and installers, Sunshield carried the film I wanted and quoted me a good price. They have a shop in Farmersville but they also install tint in various dealerships around the area. I had a Huper Optik Autobahn ceramic film installed on all the windows and the windshield.
