It's in a shopping center so there's plenty of parking outside of her shop. Her place is located in a hair gallery type set up where in the building there are individual salons in each of the rooms. Hers is easy to find as it is the first one when you walk in. Elsa was very nice when I came in and you can tell she put a lot of work in her decor. I was instructed that I needed to wear a mask ahead of time and she conducted a temperature check upon entry. The space is very clean, as she allows time between appointments to clean her shop. I went in for a regular wash and cut and she listen to what I wanted and the results were great. She also recommended how to book in the future, which was very helpful. It was very easy to book my appointment through Instagram and I received a confirmation email promptly after booking. I will definitely be coming back to Elsa's shop again soon!

I also love that I am usually in an out of her chair within 2 hours. I have armpit length thick semi relaxed hair and Lawanda does a truly fantastic job in getting my roots straight and flat! This was dealbreaker for me in finding a stylist, as I don't like puffy or stiff roots. She also is tremendously skilled at detangling and blow drying! My hair is thick which tangles and knots easily after washing. Lawanda takes her time and I don't experience hair loss or breakage during this process , as I have with other stylist. Overall my hair is healthy and is growing more. Lastly, I love the private mini salon suite that really allows the stylist to focus on the client without a lot of extra activity. Who would have guessed it's in Bowie?! I stumbled upon this shop and Diane has been doing my hair for over 2 years now. I look back at my "pre-Diane" photo's and cringe at my hair (at the time I thought it was good - but now I know better!) I have very naturally curly hair and I finally took the plunge and had Diane give me the all-natural keratin treatment. I can't tell you what a god-send this has been! It literally saves me over 30 minutes each morning - yep... each morning! The best part is people actually comment on how nice my hair looks - and some even go so far as to say it makes me look younger - who doesn't love that compliment?! The true test came when I suggested my 20yr old daughter give Diane a twirl... she did and yep - my daughter loved her cut too. The entire wash and cut appointment lasted about 20 minutes and there was very little consultation about how I wear my hair or what shape I wanted the cut to have. With thick hair, a blunt shoulder cut leaves the hair very heavy and difficult to manage. I did try to address my concerns after the appointment and Diane later offered a refund, which I appreciate, but the experience itself was still very disappointing given how much length was removed compared to what we discussed.
