The staff there helped me configure how many layers I needed and how many of each color per layer, and even helped mock it up! I ended up changing the layout anyways because I found a better tray later on, but I loved how it all came together! They only missed out on one design detail, but I didn't care. I really want to support Sunshine Donut since it's a family-run business and the only donut shop in…read moretown, and I genuinely wish them nothing but success. That said, as a local resident, the experience has been frustrating more often than not. Their posted hours say they're open until 2 PM, but in reality, they're usually sold out by around 10 AM. It makes it really difficult to plan a visit unless you go very early, which isn't always realistic for everyone. If the shop consistently sells out that early, it would be helpful to either adjust the hours or increase production so more people actually have a chance to buy something. Because this is the only donut option in town, it would be nice to have a more reliable experience--or even some competition to give residents a bit more choice. Again, I respect that it's a small, family-owned spot, but as it stands, it's hard to depend on them if you're not there first thing in the morning. Please try to work on this sunshine. I would hate for a chain donut store to come to this town, but at the end of the day i would take consistent service over anything.
