I tried J-R donuts for the first time using the "TooGoodToGo" app which is a good idea, restaurants don't waste food and people get it at a discount but these were not end of the day donuts or even next day donuts they were a few day old donuts and corsets. However, I raised the stars because the service was good and if you buy fresh donuts, which I did buy a few that day those are great! You can clearly taste the difference. Their imitation cronuts are ok but not a real croissant donut and very thin to be considered a Cronut. Donuts are overpriced, flavor is ok... it taste somewhat like it was fried in overly dirty oil. Service from the tall young Asian man is 1/5 stars. He was very rude, came off as miserable, and I noticed he lingers in the back of the store while the other employees work the counter. I found out later it's the owners son. Also, I heard him belittling the guy with glasses who works the counter as I walked in. Seating /ambiance is odd, it overlaps and overcrowds (even though it's never fully seated) near the donut counter which leaves everyone awkwardly standing around if there's a long line.
