I used SDS a long time ago in a previous home and remembered their great and efficient services. We acquired a new home and called them again, it was nice to see that their services are still consistently great and professional! 2 large doors repaired in about an hour. They quote you up front and some small parts are extra, prices are worth it. Someone responded within 30 minutes and not only answered by question but said someone would call to follow up the next business day. When the office did call, I was able to schedule a free estimate the very same day. The technician was not only on time, but came a bit earlier than the appointment time - equipped with all the tools necessary to complete the job. Tech came out replaced the rollers on the doors and changed the locking mechanism but not the full handle and we were charged $55 for "Sliding Glass Door Lockset White" ... went to Home Depot to see price on just the lock and to my surprise it was $10!!!! Called in the morning and by 2:00 p.m. Lima had provided an estimate and was working on fixing our slider. It was a tricky one- but he worked and worked with it and got it working before the end of the day. He was nice and cleaned up after himself and even stayed a bit longer to fix a ripped screen door on another slider. Not sure where the rave reviews are coming from, but I called to get an estimate for a screen door in my high rise condo and the guy was an hour late and said he did not know he was coming out for only an estimate. I waited for the estimate and finally had to call a week later to ask them for it and it took another 2 days for me to receive it. The estimate I got was $960 for one screen door, I got another estimate for $250. Just having to track this company down to do any business with them was already a no deal for me, but giving me a quote that is ridiculously overpriced should give anybody a red flag! read more

I called this company to come out for an estimate to repair my sliding glass doors and for a screen enclosure. They arrived on time for the appointment and were very nice. The gentlemen gave me a verbal estimate and said he would be emailing me the estimate with more information. I waited 2 days before emailing them to ask about the estimate, thinking that maybe there was a misspelling with my email address. A man emailed me back with a few sentences stating the prices he had verbally given me- no formal estimate was attached. I replied with a few questions and again did not receive a return email. With the advent of cool winter weather to South Florida, we wanted to get some cross-ventilation in the house and have easy access to the patio.
