This was the first time I used Yelp to find a service. I requested a quote for an electrical problem via email. All responded, but Yura was the only one had a suspicion what was the problem. He came on time to inspect my circuit breaker panel. He explained to me that the electric arc occurred because the panel box was the problem. He recommended that it need to be replaced and gave me a fair price. Since he was very knowledgeable and honest, I hired him right away! Yura came the next morning to install a new circuit breaker panel. He explained to me every step of the way. He taught me which wire connected to which outlet. Besides instructing me, we shared our life's stories. We truly had a nice conversation while he diligently working on the panel. Yura is a "needle in the haystack" electrician. Sunshine Electric is not listed on the first page of Yelp and there is no review until mine. If you just go by the Yelp page and reviews, then you are missing an excellent electrician. I was searching for an electrician to check out electrical outlets at my home as I heard a popping sound coming from one of the outlets in the early evening. Using Yelp to search for electricians, I found Sunshine Electric. Based on the all the reviews posted, I decided to use them. I emailed them first thing the next morning, explaining my problem. Inna responded to the email less than an hour later, stating that an electrician would be available that afternoon to stop by my house to check the outlets. Yura stopped by at the designated time to check out the outlets. He explained what happened with the outlets, made recommendation, quoted me cost, and when he would be available to do the work (which was the following day). Sunshine Electric was competitively priced. Yura was a pleasure to deal with. He has great communication for setting and keeping appointments and he explains the project details very well. In our case specifically, we had whole house power glitches multiple times per day that were especially bad during electrical storms. Yura installed a whole house surge protector in the circuit breaker panel and torqued all of the circuit breaker panel connections to spec. Voila! Zero surges since. We then had him separate an overloaded kitchen circuit, fix multiple issues in the circuit breaker panel and rewire our garage lights and Ring camera. All of these issues were the result of the previous home owner making a mess of things by doing DIY jobs poorly. We would not hesitate to hire Sunshine Electric in the future. I called Sunshine Electric for a ceiling fan repair. Yura arrived and quickly identified the problem, removed and reinstalled the ceiling fan and it worked perfectly. I noticed as he reinstalled the fan that he clipped the used wiring ends to expose fresh copper for the connections and that he placed all scrap ends into his tool pouch rather than leaving them on the table. Very neat and very professional. I was very impressed with the quickness, accuracy, and neatness. I immediately made an appointment with Yura to go to my wife's home and do some electrical work for her. She has had a difficult time finding someone she wants working in our personal home. I had bought and wanted the installation of a ChargePoint® Home Flex NEMA 14-50 charger for my car. Yura took the time to explain and educate me as to why being hardwired is safest for a car charger. We had two malfunctioning/dead sockets in our kitchen. Saturday night we sent out a yelp request for a quote; Sunshine Electric was the first to respond. Sunday morning, Yura, the senior electrician came out to our apartment in Mililani. He changed out the sockets in less than an hour, and replaced the too-shallow box around one socket.
