TERRIBLE ARRANGEMENT!!! We just moved to Agoura and wanted to display some flower arrangements in our new home. We found many places that had excellent prices but we decided to go with an INCREDIBLY expensive florist because we wanted something professional looking. We brought our own vase, and STILL after almost $200 we were given something less than acceptable. There's not even leaf wrapping inside the glass to hide the stems (see pic). We were about to bring it up so it could be addressed but the rudeness of the staff when we asked for a box to put it in made us think twice. Rather than deal with their attitude we quickly left and decided never to return. If you need flowers DO NOT go here. Even if the arrangements looked professionally done, which they don't, the unwelcoming feeling wouldn't be worth it. If you do go there's plenty of parking out front. read more

Been going to Sunshine Florist since we moved to the area. Tenny (owner) is always so pleasant to work with. I've gotten my daughter's corsages from them the past couple years for the Father-Daughter dances. This year I decided I won't get them cuz I didn't have time. Couple of hours before the event, my 7 year old daughter tells me how excited she is to get a corsage... I started panicking and immediately called Tenny. Fact is, if you provided what was pictured, there wouldn't have been an issue. Fact is, this is a cheap version that was delivered of sub par quality and less than pretty. For the amount spent, you could purchase the exact same style and car at your local grocer that probably would look nicer for $20. I have used sunshine florist a few times and always had excellent service. Today I sent my wife an anniversary bouquet and there was a very small error. I called the shop to just notify them for future orders. They were super attentive to my issue and not Only did they send my wife a milar anniversary ballon, but also added a complimentary chocolate box. I received a bouquet of flowers from this florist yesterday. It was a small bouquet that was ordered online by my son who lives out of the country. The first thing I noticed when they arrived was they looked old. It looked like leftover flowers that didn't sell for Mothers Day! We ended up taking out all the dead flowers and putting in it a smaller vase. When we called the shop to let them know we were unhappy, the owner explained it was a $45 bouquet with $15 used for delivery. She said she used a picture to match what was online. As the recipient of the flowers, I did not need to know the price. She also said the flowers were mums that if you move them, you loose petals. The reason we had to put them in a smaller container was that we had to get rid of the dead flowers. Instead of apologizing she told me she delivered 500 bouquet over Mothers Day, no one complained. She has been in business 24 years etc. I'm glad she has survived, but I was upset as was my husband. Even for $30 I could have gotten fresher flowers from my local grocery store. Moral of the story, don't make excuses, make it right. At the very least apologize. Leave it at that! read more

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! I was searching for a florist on Yelp to make & deliver a special arrangement for a funeral. After reading the reviews & speaking with Henry, I decided to use Sunshine Florist. He even complained about some of the negative reviews...I really should've known better. I explained that I wanted a white flower arrangement for a FUNERAL SERVICE. He assured me that my arrangement would be "spectacular" not only because I found them on Yelp but also because they were receiving a fresh shipment that afternoon. We arrived at the funeral the following day & I was absolutely appalled & furious at the so-called "spectacular" arrangement that Henry at Sunshine Florist had sent (see attached picture). The flowers he used were totally sub-par & cheap, the vase was something you'd find at the 99 cent store (2 for 1) & to top it all off the arrangement was colorful! I told him I wanted white flowers for a funeral, he even wrote the condolence card! He charged me $150 for an arrangement that was worth maybe $50. I wouldn't have even looked twice at this ridiculous arrangement if I saw it outside. The grocery store's flower section is FAR superior. If you're looking for an uncreative arrangement with cheap flowers & want to get ripped off & pissed off then this is your place. No wonder they have so many negative reviews. My sweet and wonderful husband ordered flowers for me for our anniversary. They arrived to my office and were very pretty but I was shocked to find out that he paid over $100 for these flowers. He said the person he spoke with was very nice but I think he would have been better off getting me the same flowers for $20 at Trader Joe's. It is day two, several of the flowers are brown around the edges and are wilted. The only real reason that they are getting two stars is because my hubby said they were nice to him and because I believe that is worth something. We actually stumbled across Sunshine Florist as we were planning our wedding back in 2009. At the time, they had another location in San Gabriel right across from the Hilton, so we worked with them out of that location. I'm glad we found them, because all the florists we had met with either couldn't speak English (Chinese only), or charged us an arm and a leg for what we wanted. They were conveniently located right across the street from where our wedding reception would be taking place, so they did not charge us for delivery. We ordered just the top arrangements for our centerpieces and the head table arrangement, because we had already bought the vases, lights, and accessories for the centerpieces. I gave her a picture of what we were looking for and how big of an arrangement we had wanted, and also described to her how to arrange the entire centerpiece for us, which she gladly did for us even though she didn't have to (since we only ordered the top arrangement). I have to admit, I was ecstatic when I walked into my reception hall. Everything was already arranged and on the tables, arranged in the way I had expected. She even gave me an extra bouquet in a smaller version of my vase for the registration table as a gift, with a super sweet note in it! It absolutely made me happy and relieved as a bride - not having to worry about all the little things since I was my own wedding planner. Most places would keep the extra materials that weren't used for the event, but she had everything packed and ready for me to pick up after my wedding, which definitely showed her honesty and great service. I wish I had read the reviews before using this business. Terrible customer service. Ordered flowers for my sister's birthday, they advertise as same day delivery. The arrangement looked nothing like what I ordered. I understand substitutes may need to be made, but the color scheme was totally different and too many filler plants which I was told by the owner were high end- cabbages! And not the ornate ones. I tried emailing them showing the flowers that were sent in comparison to what I ordered and got a response from a florist in the Czech republic. When I called to get the correct email the owner said she knew the wrong email was listed and they had been trying to change it. When I told her what I thought of the arrangement, she argued with me. She said she wasn't there that day, she would not have used the high end cabbages for the low price I paid ($54 + charges +$70). She did not want to hear what I said, just talked over me. My Daughter sent me flowers for my birthday from Sunshine Florist (via 1-800 flowers . This florist put the flowers on my front porch near the bushes in direct sun for over 2 hours. I received a text from my daughter did I get them? They did not give me the courtesy of a text or phone call so I could get the flowers in the house. I found them wilted and dead!!! She called 800 Flowers told them what happened and by whom and they said they would replace the flowers that very day which was Friday. I received nothing again. On Saturday I got what I know was the owner's husband who said he did not send any more flowers and wasn't going to and I was liar which I said how dare you call me a liar he hung up! I called over 7 times and spoke with a representative who could "not reach" the local florist and never was able to tell me where the flowers were, if they were going to be delivered.
