We arrived at Sunshine foot spa for an appointment. Overall it was a good experience. However, I felt like we was rushed along. I would make a suggestion for future to call ahead and to go on their website and let them know before you get there what services you will like. We have three services performed. Two combination massages that includes several areas of the body. One reflexology of the feet service. The parking lot was kind of small. Perfect for a last minute massage!! I'm not from around here and honestly was pretty tired and had some time before my flight so I searched around the Tampa airport looking for a decent place for a massage, thinking at the very least I could take a little air conditioned snooze. This place popped up, and they were able to fit me in right away!! I do want to mention the parking lot seemed pretty safe and there's a hair salon and blow out place next door and some nice cars in the lot so that actually made it feel safer to me (not knowing the neighborhood) I was nervous going by myself at first & may may or may not have spent the first 10 mins wondering if I'd be kidnapped as I was the ONLY ONE in there at the time (2pm on a weds) and there were only two guys working that I saw. Could I fight them off? Luckily I didn't have to and it ended up being very relaxing. The music in the background was perfectly soft and calming and the massage was great! The temperate was perfect. The place was well maintained and clean. I could definitely see myself going here with my girlfriends. Albert was great, strong and gave a great massage! The only issue was the door bell alarm! It's startlingly loud. I feel like they should either have someone up front, have the alarm be more like the Ring doorbell alarm on their phones OR have it more in the back area. It feels like it's ringing right above your head EVERY TIME someone walks in. With that said, two people were in the lobby when I came out from my massage. (Oh! Have been a customer for 7 years and unfortunately, that ends today. There's an entirely new staff working here who are untrained on reflexology and Chinese massage. I've been here twice in the past 6 weeks and the person giving me a foot massage wears rough medical gloves, drowns your feet in oil and scrubs them back and forth for your allotted time. They occasionally do the same with the wooden tool. There's NO attention to the calf muscles, toes, heel or ankle, with pressure or purpose. They just scrub the sides of the feet and inside arch, and just scrub your calves. There's so much oil applied that her hands and the wooden tool were slipping off my feet. THEN, when it was over, they barely wash off the oil so you leave with oil everywhere. After two visits, it's clear this isn't an outlier. Won't be back. read more

I think I might like this south Tampa location slightly better... and here's why: reflexology. The other location is great and offers the same great services but I think their massages are geared a little more toward relaxation versus reflexology. The only way I can describe this is that reflexology kinda hurts so good. It's not meant to feel good while you're being worked on but you reap the benefits later. This location certainly has some excellently trained reflexologists that apply appropriate pressure. My best friend and I joke that we are going for our "skeleton massages" because it can feel like they are trying to rub your bones sometimes. I love it. The prices are reasonable and they occasionally run specials on Groupon too. During their busy hours parking can be rough but I asked and it's ok to park behind the building. I'll definitely be a frequent visitor here and will be bringing my husband back with me as well! read more

From reading other reviews I thought this massage be better. I ordered 60 mins full body massage. (30 mins spent on feet and the rest on top torso). I have had reflexology massage before and what they offered was not it. I barely felt anything. When it came to top torso masseuse used his forearm and elbow for entire massage ;however, it gets to be too dangerous when it comes to someone spine being pressed with a strong force of the elbow. It was not good. I had pain during and after massage that I didn't have before in my lower back. Spine should never be pressed unless it is chiropractor. The only reason I gave two stars is because I understand it is hard to massage someone through the clothing ,but , I wore very soft clothing so spine alignment can be felt through. I came here with a friend for the first time a few months ago and thought "I don't want just a foot massage". Little did I know they did full body massages and did them better then anywhere I've ever been before! This was my second time going back for a massage here and I'm normally a once a year type of massage getter. But feel like this place has gotten me hooked on going once a month! I'm not even sure how I'm typing this as I'm still in post-massage bliss. Just leaving a $59 half foot reflexology and half upper body massage from heaven from Ben. Oh my wow. He brought my tired feet all the way back to life today. I feel like I was just given a new pair. It was as if he could telepathically know that I've been over-using my feet on vacation and needed them to be renewed. There was no way he could know as he doesn't speak much English, but baby, lemme tell you that was NOT an issue. Ben got down to business on these here feet. Next was the upper body part where I flipped to my tummy to get Ben's magical hands on my back and shoulders. Just when I thought Ben couldn't get any more magical, he stretched and rubbed my back and shoulder muscles so well, they were whispering THANK YOU to me. Not a bad massage for the price. If I could leave zero stars I would. I had a very uncomfortable experience there today. I've been to this location several times and it's always been great but today made me feel like I needed to tell other people about what happened. I was 20 minutes into my 90 minute combo and foot massage when a male came into the private area in the front where I was with a female masseuse and started yelling that I only had a 60 minute massage and not a 90 minute massage and he continued to verbally berate the woman who was massaging me. Then they carried it to the back of the shop where everyone there could hear it. It was very uncomfortable and he was extremely unprofessional. When the woman came back to tell me she had to switch to someone else because they wanted a female, I explained that I did not want the tall, angry man to come and finish my massage because he made me very uncomfortable. So she sent in someone else who was equally as rude and he told me that I could just pay for my 30 minutes and leave. I did leave because I felt extremely uncomfortable and vulnerable after lying down in the dark and being massaged for 20 minutes but then getting yelled at two times. Then I called the owner afterward, and he was not empathetic and sort of giggled at their very unprofessional behavior. I've never had an experience like that, and I would warn everyone in advance of going there. I will never be taking my business there again. read more

This place is lavishly beautiful. It's located in the plaza across the street from the LA Fitness next to blow bar. The massage chairs are super plush and comfortable. The waiting area is modern and equipped with water for your hydration needs. I got the combo that includes feet, calves, neck and back for $49! Wonderful and expert massage techniques are used throughout you session. I literally felt like I was given a new body after I left. I came here on a referral from a friend. My feet are really sore from running and have been getting reflexology for years to manage the pain. I walked in with the intention of getting a 60 minute foot massage, and I walked out with nothing more than well lotioned legs. This was hands down the worst massage I've ever had, if you can even call it that. The guy had absolutely no clue what he was doing. He awkwardly caressed my feet and occasionally would rub one had up and down my calf, then stick his fingers in between my toes, then repeat the process. I told the owner/manager about it and she said he's only been there a week. Then she said she still has to teach him how to do the correct massage. She even knew his massages were too soft. With that knowledge I basically refused to pay. She offered me a discount but I said I was not paying for a service when she knowingly gave me someone completely inexperienced and unqualified to do the job. I have never done this before. I have paid for plenty of bad services in the past but this is just unacceptable. There are plenty of other places in the area, I will not be back here. read more

Went and got a massage with my daughter the studio is nice looking it's not elegant but it's better than most massage places. I like that the therapists are Asian, I tend to believe they know more about the body structure than most people but then I'm a little biased because I'm Asian as well. They actually know how to give a really good deep tissue massage so if that's what you're looking for you will definitely get one here. My only gripe about this is that they did not use lotion to add a little bit more flexibility when the hands are touching the skin which can pinch at times if it's too dry. Other than that the place is excellent especially if you're looking for nice deep tissue massage they're very prompt their appointment time is usually right on spot so you can't go wrong. read more

We have gone here a few times over the last few years and have been satisfied. The company ran a Groupon selling 1000 at one time. I made reservations 2 hours before going in and told them the specific Groupon that I had and wanted to add a hour hour deep tissue massage on to the service. The man quoted me that the extra add on would be $39 per treatment. We showed up for the massage which was great. We went to pay and the owner told me that we did not mention the Groupon and she didn't want to accept it. After 10 minutes of explaining what had happened when we made the phone reservation. Then she finally agreed to take the Groupon but wanted to charge us $59 per per person instead of the $39 which we quoted. She finally called the man who made the reservations and he completely lied about the entire situation, what he said and what he quoted us. I hate that companies use Groupons to get in business when they are not busy and then are not nice to the people when they come in because they are not making any money. And most of he time the employees are not move to you because they think that they will not be tipped properly. I always tip them on the original service amount. Why companies sell 1000 Groupons at one time is crazy. No one can handle that amount of volume. Not even companies that are struggling. read more

My new addiction! Tucked into a small building on Dale Mabry in South Tampa, it is easy to miss. Luckily someone recommended it to me. Beautiful front office/reception area but even more impressive massage/service area. The lighting, the music, and the decor is optimal for relaxation. The chairs are very comfortable and the service is amazing. I have had the 60 minute traditional foot reflexology (which includes feet/calves and neck/shoulders) and the 60 minute "combo" (which includes feet/calves, hands/arms, and back massage). If you've never tried reflexology, it's something that you should experience. I was nearly crying out in pain (in a good way?) during the foot reflexology but I'm glad I sucked it up because I feel so much better now. Alex was wonderful both times. Prices are very reasonable. I will be scheduling services here at least 2 x monthly - my recommendation is to put your mobile phone on airplane mode and just enjoy the experience without any distractions...:) I highly recommend this hidden gem! read more

I was so frustrated this afternoon. Sunshine foot spa has been great with previous visits with my family. Well not today. All four of us felt the same over our experiences. We requested the combo package like always. What a change. It was the worst massage I have ever had. No pressure and I felt like it was the therapists first time. Seriously. I mentioned this to the owner upon leaving the establishment. He just mentioned "they have made some changes". No apology at all. With the changes I will not be going back to Sunshine Foot in the near future. Sad. read more

First off, this place is very clean! I've been to many massage places and this was one of the best experiences especially for a walk-in massage. The price of their service is one of the lowest I've seen but the quality is top notch. I got the 90 minute combo which is half upper body and half foot massage. The upper body massage is in the same chair, face down, with a towel over your shirt. I was very impressed how hard the therapist worked to relieve areas of tension in my shoulders! Great experience! I have had many massages before but never a reflexology foot massage. I didn't know what to expect, but it was an amazing experience! I went with a friend who also never had one of these massages before. A very clean and beautifully decorated facility with very nice, accommodating, and experienced massage therapists. I'm not sure of our therapists names, but my friend had the better of the two of them. He massaged her for a little longer and also did a lot more techniques on her than my therapist did. AVOID THIS PLACE! Horrible experience! Sat in chair soaking feet in lukewarm water for 35 minutes, eventually water turned cold. No shoulder or neck massage as a website indicated. When questioned all I was told was "Groupon". Which is where I purchased my massage. Groupon link described specifically 60 minutes with neck and shoulder massage. There was one other customer and 2 employees. Both employees appeared to be a bad mood as soon as I entered the door. The employees vanished for 35 minutes after placing my feet in water. Then returned for 13 minutes on each leg. It was the worst massage! The guy seemed to being trying to prove he could hurt me .
