It was pretty good. I got the combo and took my hubby for a combo. He had a firm pressure mine was very light. I do not like light. But I decided to see what it would do. It definitely felt great on my feet. As far as the end result. But the back and neck was not good. I tipped 30% because I felt like my husband was happy. So together the rating came to a 4. But mine was more of 3.for overall experience. We called to book an appointment, however when we got there on we had to wait. Which I expect with no appointment. The music was extremely loud and the dualing water features (one on each side of the room) were making it hard to relax. I would recommend ear plugs if you are sensitive to sounds, I am not but it was still overwhelming. I would go back and try again. Have to admit I had misconstrued this place as a happy massage spot bc of the name and shady store front until I went in for myself after my friend recommended it. Had I read the Yelp reviews I'd have known it's a legit spa. The reviews also make me believe you either love it or hate it. I love it. It's not your typical spa massage with just tissue massage. They utilize Eastern methods focusing on pressure points, so it's a combination of a relaxing spa along with some not so relaxing functional massage. Their goal is to treat the body as a whole, and they believe these specific areas will help treat the body based on the nervous system. You'll be in a room with partitions, and it's still tranquil and private enough for one to relax, in my opinion. The massage was painful at times and even after a few days later my back is still tender. But the tightness is gone and it was a great massage. I heard so much crackling in my shoulder area I couldn't believe it. It's been a while since I've had a massage and this was much needed. They massaged head to toes. Literally! Was excited to go; scheduled a 90 minute foot massage. Lady spent 40-50 minutes on feet with weak pressure and the rest on a light touch body massage. Website advertised the price as 105 and she quoted me 110 afterwards. I was not happy with the service and tipped accordingly. The masseuse has no idea what he is doing, he kept pushing and pounding on my back like I was a stuff animal. There was no technique what so ever. He literally put a towel on my body and just rub on the towel from my shoulder to my legs and even got very grabby towards my butt are. We were greeted at the reception desk and quickly taken back to our massage chairs. The ambiance was very peaceful and spa type relaxing music was playing. Peter was who worked on me and I was very pleased with the service. I would compare it more to a medical massage. He quickly found all of my problem spots and worked on the muscle knots. This was unlike any other massage I've experienced. They soak your feet and spend extra time on your feet. They also have you keep your clothes on and cover you with blankets. The hour was a perfect amount of time for us - 30 mins with feet and 30 mins with clothes on body massage. It's in a whole open room but it still felt like a one-on-one experience. What I liked most about Happy foot spa was their ability to accomadate walkins. At times massage parlors are booked for hours with appointments and IDK about anyone else, but when I get that desire for a foot rub, I want it promptly or else my desire in it goes away. Not only were they capable of taking me in within 10 mins, the foot rub was awesome and just what I needed. I was greeted by a kind woman who essentially told me what they offered and made it easier directing my eyes to a sign listing services with prices. They offer not only offer 30,60, 90 mins foot massages, but also combo massages which I assume consist of a mixture of feet and body. I purchased a 60 min foot reflexology massage. Since this wasn't my first foot reflexology experience, I wasn't surprised that the massage would be located in a large central room with other customers getting massages. This might be surprising to new customers, but this setup is common if not standard for Chinese reflexoIogy. The experience is still relaxing and the massage therapists are cool with requests for increase firmness. Place was clean and reasonably priced. My feet definitely left happy! After waking up with random foot pain while visiting Tampa, I wanted to find a spot for a foot massage to work out the kink. Happy Foot was able to get me in day-of and had a good rating on Yelp, so they won my business! Upon arrival, the waiting room was small and there is a little fountain offering the sounds of water droplets into a pool to help you get in a relaxed mood. We didn't stop to enjoy as we were quickly escorted to the back. There was a couple in the back of the room but we were sat in the first two chair closest to the door. There was music playing softly and we were told to lay down on the chair and put our feet up on the ottoman. I swear it seems like time flies during this 30 minute period! Just the right amount of pressure and massaging on each pressure point. I don't know much about reflexology, but I can tell you that it felt awesome! A few misses were not telling the couple down at the end to shhh! Also there was a room freshener that went off during my massage and it totally threw off my zen. I really enjoyed my massage at Happy Foot. Over the years I've become a fan of reflexology massage spas because I honestly believe the gift of touch is an actual gift. No amount of massage schooling can make someone a natural born healer. That being said I am often disappointed when I go to get a massage. However I find more practitioners with this gift in Chinese foot spas. There's a possibility as in the Philippines with "hilot" practitioners, most Chinese don't go into this profession unless they have "the gift." I also don't mind getting a fully nude massage normally, but at the Chinese Foot Spas this is unnecessary and unless you ask for a private room, you are fully clothed and you get a massage with a room full of other people. I honestly don't know if happy foot even has private rooms. It's Tony in comparison to other Chinese Foot Spas I've been to. Of course everything is tiny is S.Tampa. However, you really do get a damn good massage with all of your clothes on. So the guy I got on my first visit was definitely gifted. You never say anything to the practitioners and they don't ask you what your pain points are (heck I'm not even certainly they speak English), but they always "feel" your issues as they give you a massage. Starting with my head and face I was immediately relaxed. I had a really bad crick in my neck and as usual I have knots all over my scapulae and he worked out the exact spots that needed a good manipulation. The arm and hand massage was great and the palpitations were even soothing. The foot massage was standard for Chinese Reflexology, which is always way better than you get at a regular massage spa. My biggest complaint is that I prefer laying on my stomach during the back massage. This is the first time I had to sit up, hold my core tight and push back so my back could be properly massaged. Don't get me wrong he did a great job! I just wish I didn't have to work a little at the end. This is a good tactic for them to get a sleeping person up and ready to get out of the door. I've been to places where you turn over or where you walk over to another table to lay down on for the back portion, but this was my first professional back massage sitting up. Perhaps they can bring in massage chairs for the back in the future. All and all I expect to come back and fill up my loyalty card! read more

New owners are so rude, first they raise price instantly upon taking over the business, bring in all new staff, which are about half as good as the old staff, then they overcharged me when i used my coupon (10 visits =$40 off). I paid $20 after discount , tipped $10 but my card was charged $70?! I went in and asked about it bc i saw it on my cc app , the guy said i had to call the owner lol Then it got really weird, i told him refund my card or im calling the cops , the guy had given himself a $50 tip instead of $10. I don't know why most of these reviews are so good, because my experience was not. The reception was nice and welcoming, the chairs were mediocre at best and rough one sensitive low back, however, these are not the reason for this review. The techniques used by my massage therapist and my buddy's therapist were almost abrasive, like rug burn abrasive. We asked for a 75 minute foot and hand massage, which they spent about 2 minutes on my hands, maybe 20 minutes on my actual feet and the rest of the time, they massaged the inside of my calf in one spot for minutes at a time and the rest was on the outside of my chin bone. They rubbed these spots so long that we both left with rashes and felt like we were getting rug burn on our legs versus an intelligent, well designed foot massage. This place may be the best in Tampa Bay, but it's a farce compared to China town in NY and Bostons establishments. Do not bother going. read more

Not happy to post this review since I had a couple good experiences here, but last night was truly bad customer service. I called at 1 PM on Sunday to make a reservation for 3 people, they said specifically to come in at 5 PM. I asked them if they needed my name and they said "we have your phone number, it's fine". I came in at 4:50 and nobody was in the lobby helping customers. They came out and took the lady in front of us in at 5:10 but we kept waiting alone in the lobby till almost 5:30. I had to knock on the door to get someone to help us 30+ minutes after our "reservation", and they told us that they had no room and it would be another 30-45 minutes. Long story short, don't take reservations if you won't honor them, and don't make people wait in your lobby alone without having someone at the front desk. I won't come here again. read more

South Tampa's worst-kept secret. Every time I go I brag to all my friends, and now they're regulars too. It's a clothes-on, communal (open) room, with the adjustable chair-beds arranged for semi-privacy. This is such a unique experience but quirky as hell.
