I walked right in and I heard Arianna Grande, I was like this is totally me. I love their song choices right off the bat, and then their little magazine section was all me, Vogue, Elle, Flare and Glamour. I mean they are all new too so I am 100% there for that. I had a fantastic time thanks to Alex and I am living for my hair cut. I love it. I will be coming back for my hair cuts and maybe getting some colour this summer as well getting ready for Pride in Vancouver ;)

I actually had no idea I had booked at a Japanese hair salon until I walked in and felt... like it was different, yet oddly familiar, lol. I'm actually half Japanese, but it's never occurred for me to go to a Japanese salon because I didn't inherit Japanese hair. Anyhoo, I was given a great cut that worked with my weirdly textured hair with odd remnants of "chemo curls" in parts, and straight in others. I was in the midst of moving h*ll, so I'm not sure but I think the stylist said she goes by the name "Loco" which I think is a nickname based on her name Hiroko... Anyway, she was awesome.

My hair stylist is patient, helpful and always ends up cutting my hair the exact way I had hoped for it to be cut. Its's obvious that all the stylists that work at this salon value their costumers. They overcharged me on my first online purchase (Dec. 2021). I had to complain and make sure they followed through with a refund, received credit. So much wasted of time. Wanted to support local, and it had been years, so used credit towards second purchase, and they ship me an intimate item that I didn't want (I emailed them confirming this), acknowledged their error eventually, sort of, hours of back and forth later... and then took OVER SIX MONTHS to give me my money back - more than one email and phone call per month to get my money back, which they agreed to, sent the product back - crickets... and then they tried to give me a credit instead of the refund they had promised. I tried to speak with the owner after the manager botched helping me and multiple calls later, crickets again. HORRIBLE customer service (NO customer service?) I will NEVER shop there again. If you don't want to waste hours and hours of your life, and have a second job to keep them accountable... don't shop there either. Shameful behaviour for a company from one that claims to be women friendly, making me feel ashamed at every turn for trying to hold them accountable... battling them saying they can't return an intimate private item that they should never have shipped me... gross. The last time I needed was more invisible load, effort away from work and away from my kids with the assumption that I could just float the company 3 digits for over 6 months. Shame on the owners. I'd tell them how they could have made this experience better but they refused to call me back, clearly didn't matter to them. I am left wondering - What is the chance that 2 for 2 purchases went badly, purchases made with years between them and that those are the ONLY purchases that go badly with them? yikes. Original purchase date: May 11 2025 (many emails went completely ignored by them) Item shipped back to then in July (many more emails ignored by them ) Refund FINALLY issued Oct 16th 2025. If you are currently having issues with them, call them and speak with (edited female employee's name out at the companies request), an outlier in the company, who deserves to run the place before they ruin it. Follow up with an email with your agreement/understanding so they can't deny and lie to you like they did to me.

After being apart we are back together and I couldn't be happier with the job she did. I say it's worth it. Our goal hair (pearl grey) is getting there. I don't think my hair is particularly difficult? It's thick and curly? I always know when I need a hair cut because I turn into "Cousin It". Ha! She's a creative professional.
