Five minutes before my scheduled appointment, I received a call letting me know they were running about 15 minutes behind. That was understandable. However, once I arrived, I was taken into a back room where a coordinator went over the treatment, discussed additional services, and told me they were waiting for approval before they could proceed. I then waited for over an hour, only to eventually be told that I would NOT be approved for treatment that day because of a preexisting health condition from more than 25 years ago. What makes this especially frustrating is that I completed the requested medical information ahead of my appointment. If something in my history required medical clearance before they could treat me, I do not understand why that was not reviewed BEFORE I drove there, checked in, sat through a consultation and sales discussion, and waited more than an hour. I left without receiving any treatment whatsoever and am now waiting for my deposit to be refunded. The woman working at the front was absolutely lovely, and I want to make that clear. Unfortunately, the overall process was incredibly frustrating and felt disorganized and misleading. Being brought in, discussing upgrades/additional services, and waiting that long before being told I couldn't receive the treatment I had scheduled made the entire experience feel very uncomfortable. I also still do not understand what specifically about the treatment required medical approval based on a condition from more than 25 years ago, particularly when my medical information had already been provided. A complete waste of my time, an upsetting experience, and now I have to wait and hope my deposit is actually returned. I would not return or recommend DermaFix Spa.
