However, storing cots in bathrooms(major red flag)completely unacceptable! As an early childhood educator with over 20 years of professional experience, this practice has never been allowed and raises serious health, safety, and licensing concerns. Programs should strive to exceed minimum standards--not settle for what is considered "acceptable" in Texas. This mindset is part of why Texas ranks so low nationally in education. Parents need to pay close attention to these details. Additionally, communication with assistant teachers needs significant improvement. The level of care and oversight from the lead teacher to assistants in the afternoon is lacking and needs immediate attention. After school care providers never seem to know what going on. Get to know your kids, on an individual level, know their needs and pay attention. Toddlers/preschoolers should not be without water especially during snack or meal times.

Communication was constantly a struggle -- I was often called at work about missing items even though I always asked ahead of time if anything was needed. When I did get updates, it was usually last-minute, leaving me scrambling within an hour to fix things. What hurt the most was when my child was hit in the face by another student, and I wasn't told until more than three hours later. No parent should have to find out something like that long after it happens. As a foster parent, I work hard to give my children stability and comfort, but this school made that transition so much harder than it needed to be. I truly hope no other parent has to go through what we did. Please look for a different preschool where your child will be cared for, and where you'll be treated like a valued parent -- not an afterthought.

The environment is very calm and not over simulating for the kids. The focus is on learning and engagement rather than on toys. It's been a great place, and I love that every one of the teachers make a whole-heart effort to learn every child's name - not just those that are in their rooms. The facility is very clean, and they are great about notifying parents of any illness that could potentially be contagious. They hold quarterly meetings for the parents, and hold special events around major holidays. I plan to keep my child here until they are ready to attend elementary school.

I was faced with finding "drop-in backup" care for 4 amazing boys all under the age of 5. We visited Cardinal and was pleased with the professionalism of the staff, the cleanliness of the facility and the convenient location. Thankfully the facility was able to provide back up care. 2 of my nephews typically pitch a fit when they attend their regular school. At Cardinal they were ready to be dropped off and excitingly shared their adventures of the day. One of the boys (2 yrs) still talks about his "passport" he made with his "teacher" (he cannot yet pronounce the last name). Thank you Cardinal!!! Continue to provide excellent service and our youth will thrive in the world due to their superlative foundation

We love San Antonio Country Day Montessori School…read more The Teacher: Ms. Lori is PATIENT and kind, loving, & willing to work with our child. She came up with a solution (after 2 days) that relieved my son's severe anxiety stemming from a trauma that he suffered two months prior, that we had been trying to work through with him since it occurred. This alone has helped our family more than words can say. She has many years of experience teaching young children and is patient enough to figure out what works for our child. Our family is blessed to have her teaching our child. The Owner: Ms. Betty Williams is wonderful. She is extremely knowledgable and is more than willing (happy) to share her knowledge with parents. On several occasions, Ms. Betty has sat patiently with me, with a caring heart, and given me so much amazing parenting advice. I cannot thank her enough for not being rude or judgmental when I came to her for advice. The front office staff: Ms. Natalie & Ms. Alicia are always genuinely friendly and kind any time I speak with them. They both have been very accommodating when I have needed anything. They both truly LOVE the children. Everyone at SACDM does. The staff at this school works as a team. They are a humble group of people whose true passion is the children. They are down to earth and make parents feel comfortable. They all work very diligently in figuring out what works best for each child. The tuition is a bit higher than others, but to us, having the peace of knowing our child is in the best care is worth making other financial sacrifices so that our child can attend this school.

Forced to eat alone, told that she's difficult, impossible and stupid. A BABY!!!! Coming home and crying saying she's impossible and stupid. How is that acceptable? There is simply NO excuse for an adult to treat a child like this! This is disturbing beyond belief. And when brought to the principles attention, they had the audacity to accuse the parents of the child not getting enough sleep. I mean... what kind of response is this? Total lack of accountability, not acknowledging the damage done to the child and how unprofessional the teacher acted. We found out about this behavior because another student was going home upset!!! Other children were traumatized by the way the teacher had been treating their friend/ classmate! The damage done by bullying has affects that stick with people for years! Look at how many horror stories of kids ending their life from bullying. And this school is fostering it! Allowing and defending the teachers who are doing it. I am sick. Disgusted. And furious. How dare they. This is purely unacceptable and I look forward to the day karma reaches you.
