This was the best mani pedi I have had in a long time! Sunshine nails has a very clean and pleasant atmosphere, brand new massage chairs and they welcome you with a mimosa! I am delighted to recommend Lillian and her team at Sunshine Nail & Wax. I have been back several times now for both a manicure and pedicure. Their salon and equipment and immaculate, aesthetic, peaceful and even has a little glimpse of the bay. The four big comfortable manicure pedicure chairs have numerous relaxing massage options. The pedicure includes a hot rock massage and manicure a hand and arm massage with a warm wet towel finish. A mini spa treatment. I have seen both men and women there. I chose the gel nail polish for my fingernails and have been amazed at how long the polish has lasted -- almost a month once with no chipping still looking great even with the new nail growth. They are the best of all the manicures and pedicures I have had over the years. read more

This place is awesome. $40 for a mani-pedi, and the manicures last for a solid week or so if not more. I have been there multiple times and the staff take their time and do a meticulous job. I have gotten gel as well but honestly, the plain nail polish is so long lasting I don't even need to resort to gel! read more

I have tried this place several times and have been disappointed with the quality of the services. The staff here are really into cutting. They are truly nipper-happy. They cut every bit of dry skin until your fingers and toes bleed. I returned to the place only because I had been traveling and could not get an appointment anywhere else. I thought it would be OK if I asked my manicurist NOT to do my cuticles. She looked hurt and confused at the notion. And she kept shaking her head. She started poking under my nails for things to cut. I thought she was removing some gel but - she cut skin under my nail! And it got infected! I don't know where these people get licensed but over cutting is very unsafe. Also, gel cures in a short time. If you leave the lamps on longer it has no effect - just dries out your fingers. these ladies just leave the lamps on forever. And my gel manicures did not even last 2 days. The extra star is for the owner who is very pleasant and does a better job than her employees. But not good enuf to return. Stay away! read more

Seriously? I walked to see if there was availability for a pedicure.....the women who work there gave me a look and then led me go to a chair, obviously bothered. There were other people in the salon, and maybe more on the way. Fine, if you are too busy, I will wait or go somewhere else. No big deal. Instead, the woman gave the most rushed, horrible pedicure I have ever had.....it was 15 minutes!!! Unbelievable. I will never be back or recommend to anyone else. The stars are for Lilian, the owner. She is fantastic, attentive, engaging and appropriate. Her employees, not so much. I have been getting my nails done at Sunshine Nails from the week it opened, since is literally less than a block from house. I don't go there all the time because I have had some weird experiences. They gave away my appointment once to a lady who lied but they never bothered to ask her her name. They never seem to understand that I like bright white toenails and either try to get me to change my mind or do it like a french manicure. Today took the cake though. She laughed and said 3 times, "Are you sure you don't want to change your color? You like white?" She didn't even show me where to put my purse even though I was obviously struggling. Never bothered to help me find the right gel manicure color even though I was quite specific as to what I wanted. I couldn't find the massager and they just kept talking when I asked them for it. Granted the owner, who want there today, would have never allowed their behavior! So rude, I left them a 20% tip anyway because I am too proud not to. read more
