I was genuinely confused because most nail salons are able to remove acrylics, especially if clients are planning to get a new set afterward. Clean salon, super nice nail techs, pretty & extensive selection of colors. I called at 9:45 on a three-day weekend Monday and they fit me right in. I got the standard pedicure ($33) to get my feet summer ready. I paid cash, so don´t know whether they add a fee for paying with a card. It is a smaller salon - two techs were working when I was there - so calling ahead probably safer than walking in. The tech was really thorough and attentive to detail, fixing a very small uneven patch on one toe multiple times before she would let me leave the chair and also insisting I wear the free pedicure sandals, since the slides I wore would have smudged my little toes. This review is long overdue! I've been coming to K's for a pedicure intermittently the past few years, and there is no match for quality and value. For a $28 pedicure, Tina and Lynn always take their time, provide an excellent massage, and take extra care to get rid of all callouses. While the paint job is not always absolutely perfect, it's good enough for my feet and for the price. They also have a huge color selection, and even took the time to test out a few different shades on my toes to help me pick out my favorite. read more

I am so happy to have found K's Nails in Marin that is as good or better than the salon in SF I've been going to for over 20 years. K's Nails is fantastic. I have been there three times for a spa pedicure and the quality of service has been consistenly excellent. A pedicure is what I call a 'necessary luxury'. It feels so damn good and looks even better. What makes K's Nails stand out that the polish looks new and fresh for at least a couple weeks, if not more. In addition, the price is fantastic! Small and very great small place that does a great job! Girl friends and I did last minute self pampering and found this cute spot that was able to take us in on short notice and able to do a great job on all three girls! It's a hidden spot and I'm glad I was able to find it! People were very accommodating and super helpful. The lady who helped me was very engaging in our conversation and she was so lovely to chat with while she perked my hands. I personally find it lovely to speak with someone while we are engaged in an activity. It's not boring and time goes by in a fun way. Having your nails done for 30 minutes and not able to speak or do anything during that time can be very boring. I don't do my nails often and I can definitely tell a difference when my nails "feel" better. She cleaned my nails very well and made them really stand out. I felt she had great attention to detail and it was shown by her final product. The spot itself is small and cute. While I am new to the area, I am still trying to find a decent nail salon. I am used to San Jose area where any nail salon you walk into the technicians are happy to see you there and can give you an estimated time to see you even if they are busy... and they welcome you to wait the 15-20 minutes until they are ready. I completely understand when salons get busy. I called earlier today to make sure they were open (today is a holiday) around 10 am. I was told yes and that they were open for business until 7 pm. I drove over, and was there in about 15 minutes. I walked in while two technicians (I guess it's a smaller shop) were working on two clients. I was not greeted at all, no smile, no hello. I asked if they had time today for a mani/pedi. One technician sternly told me no. She was busy all day. I said okay... and kind of trailed off a bit taken aback by her non greeting and seemingly annoyance of me even being there. She then said to come back in between 2:00-6:00 as she could (try) to give me a mani pedi then. She didn't grab a pen to take down my information, basically it seemed like she wanted to get rid of me. Unfortunately I was recommended here by a very faithful client that had nothing but good things to say about this salon. She even told me to use her name as they would know her and they love her there. I guess maybe I should have tried to make an appointment when I called over the phone, but it is not like the technician that answered the phone when I called asked me to or wanted to. She didn't even tell me they were booked until 2. I just think being rude to a potential new client is not a very smart business practice. Or perhaps make sure you post on your forums/when someone calls you can tell them that your salon is by appointment only? Maybe next time I will go in with the faithful client that recommended me in the first place :) read more

I finally went back to K's on Saturday and treated myself to a mani pedi. Their salon has always been clean but it was extra clean, they had barriers, and were clearly following all COVID protocol. Made an appointment for Friday afternoon with no problem. Their location is prime because there is ample parking and it in a corner where peace and tranquility meet. Tina and Lin are the best, I got acrylics and Tina took her time to shape and apply, she was meticulous and very precise. Lin took care of my mother's feet and did such an awesome job my mom almost fell asleep. My mom is very picky and she loved her pedicure/manicure and my acrylix so much she couldn't stop talking about our session for the rest of the night. They last for at least 3 weeks and I always receive compliments on them. It's a small place, only two chairs, but I kinda like that. It's quiet. Make sure to call and make an appointment. The owner has since reached out to state that the reason my service was so high was because I had acrylic and gel removed, which was not all the case. In fact, I haven't had acrylic nails since high school! Be honest, I wasn't supposed to be charged $75, which is a relief for all other mani/pedi patrons. K's Nails is tucked away near the pet supply store and gas station in Corte Madera. Very clean, big glass bowls on the massage chairs. I came in with a time limit and they worked fast but carefully to get me out in time. I messed up a toenail and came back today to have it fixed and they were incredibly nice about it.
