We had a king bed on the fourth floor facing the back of the building. This is much better since the front is towards the expressway and I wasn't sure if that would be loud at night since I'm a very light sleeper. They have warm breakfast in the morning which was alright - bagels, sausage, eggs, pancakes, yogurt, oatmeal just to name a few. It would be nice for them to have trays bc it's hard to bring it to the room and also a lot of people would drop their food in the elevator. It was def a mess in the elevator in the morning. Our room was not spacious, but for two nights, that's fine. Everything is very compact and fit like a just so puzzle. The biggest area was actually the restroom. My fave part of the room was actually the soap, lotion, shampoo dispensers. They smelled so good and I couldn't help, but squeeze more of it. I love that this was a newer hotel. The location is a bit industrial, but we knew we would be driving everywhere anyway. We drove to downtown Jacksonville, Jacksonville beach, and Amelia island. It wasn't the most sightly location, but it definitely served its purpose. Affordability, comfortability, and newness. Everyone who we encountered were very nice as well. I would def consider staying af a Tru again!

It was fun to come in and see people playing pool and guests hanging out in the pool area. Breakfast could be better than the powdered scrambled eggs. There's def room for improvement. The room, bed, and towels were clean, and the front desk staff were kind and patient. I made the reservation last minute and I stayed in a Single Room - Non-Smoking . Check-In: 04:00 PM Check-Out: 11:00 AM. I stayed in room 400. They are pet-friendly with only a $15 pet fee, which is very reasonable. They were lovely to my baby boy and even offered treats. The air conditioning worked very well, and the shower had consistent hot water. The WiFi connection was strong and reliable. The pool area is beautiful and fairly large. I also liked that the microwave had a safety feature, which is great for families with little ones. The fridge worked perfectly. They had a little play area for the kids. Looks like a big play house from the inside it looked really cool. They didn't have breakfast but it's okay, it's in a very convenient location -- it's within walking distance of Waffle House, Burger King, Dunkin Donuts and a gas station. Inside the room there were some couple of water stains but like I said you pay for the quality you stay in. Don't expect 5 star hotel when you pay double digits .

People constantly coming and going all night. The bedding was dirty and felt oily. We ended up buying our own blankets and sheets. There is a skate park and regular park along the way. The Five Points neighborhood seems nice enough with several bars and restaurants including a sports bar connected to the hotel. The hotel was very clean. Staff were pleasant. I got their cheapest room and was happy with it. It had a king bed, a fold-out couch, a shower, and a kitchen with everything except a stove. My favorite perk of this hotel was they always had carafes of hot coffee and decaf 24/7. Cons: (1) They charged me different rates for the two nights I stayed which I thought was weird and didn't notice at first ($150 and $190). (2) The breakfast sucks--both the food and the experience--there are multiple reviews about it. I would stay here again if another band I like plays at FIVE, I'd just skip the breakfast.

The main bed wasn't too bad but the pull out couch bed was like sleeping on a rock. The breakfast in the morning could use some help for sure. Some of the eggs were "rubbery" and just not edible. As for the area it is a little sketchy and I wouldn't walk around at night. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again.

The linens and towels were high quality, the bed was very comfortable, and there were water bottles left out for me. I slept very well and each morning Joan prepared a five-star breakfast. She asked me what time I'd prefer to eat and provided options to suit my tastes. They're easy going and willing to share tips on things to do around town if you're interested. You won't find more gracious hosts than Joan and Dan. They made my trip to Jacksonville very memorable!

I didn't bother to ask for a new room since I was so tired and I'm sure it wouldn't kill me with my short stay but I'm just giving a heads up to future costumers. My room had a smell to it from the mold and it's stuffy. Every surface in the room I didn't feel comfortable touching. Ugh the door knobs felt gross. You can tell they haven't been wiped off. Bathroom was clean tho. The headboard was nasty!!!! Sheets and bed was good and comfortable. I wouldn't dare sit on the chairs they have in there but I mean it's a hotel. Im not overly picky but these are just notable things I wanted to mention. But overall my experience has been fine! I'd recommend it but just not this moldy room lol. I would've been more comfortable if I had brought a can of disinfectant spray with me to spray stuff down. And no, not because of Covid. Things just didn't feel like it was wiped down before putting a new customer in it. Wendy's is right in front the hotel. There's a Waffle House and Dunkin Donuts next to Exxon around the corner. Maybe I'm feeling grateful because I came here from the Country Inn in St Augustine, which is trrraaasshhh. This, however, is not. My room looks new, freshly painted, nice tub. Couldn't help but be impressed that when there was a smoking issue, they seem to have a magic spray that made it disappear in the time I got takeout and came back. The front desk was super helpful about it...wasn't their fault. Big ol' mini fridge and microwave. They clearly care about you, fishing for good reviews, which is just fine with me if that means I get treated well. Maybe they're turning a leaf. I'd stay here again and recommend you give it a shot. I know I rely on reviews heavily and always regret when I don't listen to bad reviews. But really I think this place might be turning a new leaf and you should give it a shot.
