Very decent place to stay. You truly get good quality for what you pay. The inside was surprisingly very nice. The room, bed, and towels were clean, and the front desk staff were kind and patient. I made the reservation last minute and I stayed in a Single Room - Non-Smoking . Check-In: 04:00 PM Check-Out: 11:00 AM. I stayed in room 400. They are pet-friendly with only a $15 pet fee, which is very reasonable. They were lovely to my baby boy and even offered treats. The air conditioning worked very well, and the shower had consistent hot water. The WiFi connection was strong and reliable. The pool area is beautiful and fairly large. I also liked that the microwave had a safety feature, which is great for families with little ones. The fridge worked perfectly. They had a little play area for the kids. Looks like a big play house from the inside it looked really cool. They didn't have breakfast but it's okay, it's in a very convenient location -- it's within walking distance of Waffle House, Burger King, Dunkin Donuts and a gas station. Becareful of the outside area. Honestly I was afraid to park there. They said the doors were secured at night but the side doors are all open. People constantly coming and going all night. The bedding was dirty and felt oily. We ended up buying our own blankets and sheets. The price is good but they hold 100 dollars from your account for about a week. read more

I checked in and out of this hotel on July 12. The first room they gave me was room 306 upon walking in the room. I noticed that there was mold, mildew dust, and dirt everywhere. I immediately went back to the front desk upon reaching the front desk the guy behind the counter immediately start apologizing saying that the room was marked as clean in the system, and then when he checked me in, it showed as not clean. He gave me the wrong key for 238 upon entering 238. I noticed it was the same conditions so I immediately started taking pictures and return back to front desk to ask for a total refund. Gentlemen let me know that the property manager was out and that he would reach out to her for a refund. The property manager into the property to speak with me because he notified her that I was calling the police to make an official civil suit complaint. The manager, Teresa got to the property. The police were already there. I spoke with the police then I returned the front of the property. Before I could even get a word out, Teresa said that she spoke with someone in corporate and that they would be giving me a full refund back typically, they would not give a refund back because it was not refundable, but they would do it this time because of the inconvenience of both rooms. I waited a week and call Teresa on the property line when I first spoke with her she act as if she didn't know what I was talking about so I refresh her memory. She asked me if I could hold when she returned on the phone. She said she was processing the refund and will give me a call back so I could return the phone call to booking to get the process started for a refund. I still hadn't heard anything from Teresa on today, so I reached out to the corporate office and found out that she notated the account that I was not getting a refund because I refused to go to another room that she had offered me which was offered to me by Teresa. Went into the office to see if I can get a better clarification with Teresa and she acted as if she never had a conversation with me and I if I was just delusional about the whole thing I tried to show Teresa the pictures that I had prior sent to her email. She refused to look at them and said she would not stand here and argue with me and walked away from the front desk as if I wasn't talking to her in a calm demeanor without cursing, or raising my voice. I have issued a formal complaint with the hotel and lodging administration, the health department here has in Jacksonville and I have also contacted the Jacksonville bar administration to see what attorney I can use. read more

This year I booked the same hotel, this time I requested for a new updated room!! Love it new flooring, lights,TVs etc ! I will say the shower heads also needs to be replaced!! Oh the breakfast isn't the same anymore.. so no more buffet breakfast ( which was the best)! The remodeled room are very clean!! read more

My husband, son, and I had reservations as we are Choice Members. My husband and son were involved in a car wreck around 7:30pm while going to pick up dinner the night we arrived. My husband was transported via ambulance due to injuries. My son accompanied him. I was at the hotel with no vehicle. The front desk was so busy with only one person, Ally, working. She was handling it well. We've never been to Jacksonville before and were only spending one night. Ally called a friend who took me to the accident scene to get our car. When she dropped me off at the corner of Lane Avenue, my vehicle was being loaded onto a tow truck. The Florida State Trooper was having it towed. The police officer took me to St. Vincent's to be with my family. We arrived back at Quality Inn close to midnight. My husband was very sore, dizzy, had a concussion, and was on pain medication. We were in a strange city, knew no one, had no car, had not eaten dinner, and were seriously shaken by the events. We stopped at the front desk at spoke with Misty asking if we could please have the room for a second night - Saturday - so that we would have time to secure a rental car and find out about our car. Misty told us that she would take care of it and said as long as we were in the room, it could not be given to anyone else. We trusted what Misty said and went to our room to try to get some rest. It had been a long day. The next morning, the cleaning service knocked. I opened the door, told her we were staying one more night and asked only for towels. Within 5 minutes, the room phone rang. It was the front desk manager - Jessie I found out later - no name provided when she called. She asked who told us we could stay another night. I told her Misty. She said we could not stay and would have to be out by 1:00. It was 10:00 at this time. She was rude, matter of fact, did not offer ANY help whatsoever. She never apologized for what Misty told us. She only said, "I don't know why she told you that." She was the least empathetic "customer service manager" I've ever dealt with. I have worked in customer service management for over 25 years. At absolutely no point have I ever treated anyone the way she treated us. Had we known we would have to leave the next morning, I could have searched for another place for us to stay. At this point, there were no rooms anywhere. I am so completely disappointed in this experience. If anyone would have bothered to inquire as to why we were in Florida, maybe, just maybe, they would have been more empathetic. We were treated better at the Budget Inn than at your Quality Inn. We checked out before 11:00 and sat in the lobby for over an hour waiting on an Uber ride. She did not ONCE speak to us, offer us anything, or apologize for Misty's incorrect information. The lack of caring and connection she made with us will not be forgotten. read more

My company paid for this hotel/motel i stayed here 4 days to begin with the Indoor pool is not heated and freezing cold, rooms need updating 1970's furniture decor, has a 32inch flat panel tv, internet is useless I get connected but keep getting no internet connection captions on phone and my Laptop, after 30 minutes of trying I finally got internet but the signals were too weak to even load the google search engine, there is a lot of big truck's in parking lot and a feeling of a Truck Stop environment Plus day/night you will hear people slamming doors, people yelling and screaming, continuously car alarms at night, and day/night fire trucks sirens, ambulances sirens, police sirens, big trucks starting their engines and back up beepers from 5am till 9am the best part was the walking distance to Burger King, Hardee's, Zaxby's, Waffle House...oh btw the morning breakfast will clean you out, stay close to the bathroom! read more

Wish I could have given this place ZERO stars. STAY AWAY THIS PLACE SHOULD KNOCKED DOWN. This place is so bad that I think even hookers would not even come there. I don't think the Choice Hotel chain has quality control people, because if they did they would revoke the franchise from this owner. To begin with, we had to evacuate because of hurricane Florence and it is very difficult to find hotels to take small animals. Upon entering the driveway, we were met by some very shady looking characters, room smelled of mold and bleach, black mold in the A/C. Had a reservation. Took 5-10 minutes for the person at the desk to get off the phone to check me in. Gave me the key for room #1- key didn't work. I came back. Room #2 was 1 bed & smoking. I reserved 2 beds non-smoking. I came back. Room #3 had someone staying in it. Towels on the floor and mirror fogged up. This was at 10:45 PM. Imagine our surprise & their's when they came back at midnight or later with my family asleep! I went back to try a 4th room but after a long delay, I just asked them to cancel my room when it was clear they may not have one. They ended up charging me for the room! The place was filthy and several rooms were under construction or seemingly abandoned or storage for random items. Really really sketchy. Clientele was a little concerning as well. Drunk guy at 10:45 PM belting out "How Great Thou Art." I stay at Choice Hotels all the time & never had a problem. If this is "Quality" and acceptable for this chain, I won't be back to Quality Inn and if you're smart you'll stay away from this one. read more

My husband and I had to stay a night in Jacksonville so he could do some work and then we were leaving to Georgia the next day. I called ahead and reserved a room. I asked for a king bed exterior unit on the ground floor that is non-smoking. It was a late night checkin... @11:15. We were tired and unloaded what we needed and my husband parked the truck. As I opened the door it smelled like an ashtray... I told my husband and we were just so tired we just went in and slept. The next day when we left I still had that smell I could not get rid of. For the rest of the weekend everything we put on smelled horrible. Never again will I stay here. read more

Never, never again. Just stayed this weekend since I attended a seminar being held there. I tried to book by calling and was put on hold for 8 minutes, before I hung up. I booked a king on-line but was given a single since that was "the only one left." The price was not adjusted. Check-in was done by a lackluster clerk who didn't do anything she did not have to do. My room's door and several others were propped open. I told the front desk, to "opened?" as a response. The entire room (off the quad by the pool) could be viewed since the drapes were hung wrong. I asked the front desk clerk for help in-person. She called the maintenance man, after 35 minutes of waiting to get in my room (to use it), I inquired again, she called him and again and informed me he was busy helping other guests. I guess I was supposed to understand they were more important than I was. He was able to fix the drapes successfully, and seemed nice. I had one towel in the room. On my way out to dinner I asked for more and said I would pick them up on my way. When I came back, the front desk clerk informed me she didn't have the towels because maintenance was once again busy helping the "other guests." After another 1/2 hour so waiting for towels, the maintenance man brought be 1 washcloth, 1 hand towel, and a bath mat. When I questioned the limited amount her first said that was all they had, then he said that "singles" only got one towel. Umm, in what country is this hotel? Upon trying to use the room it was obvious the room was questionably "clean", and almost everything needed repair. I have photos holes and stains, damage to the microwave and refrigerator, furniture, etc, etc. The "conference" facilities were only slightly better. This place should be closed. read more

I really have zero complaints. Most of those who stay here are truck drivers (industrial area nearby) and trucking school students. The indoor pool with an ACTUAL World War 2 airplane (stripped down) is a nice touch. Free breakfast is great, lunch buffet is paid but good. I give this hotel NO stars. My sister ordered a room got there Thursday night. The first problem was the refrigerator was dirty. Then later that night my niece cut left foot in the room. Then we start to look around glass was all over the floor. Guess what kind of glass "A crack pipe that someone had broke" yes a crack pipe. Later on on Friday we notice ants in the restroom. Then the room attendant we asked her for towels also tissue. She never came back. My sister talked to the hotel manager who had a very nasty attitude very unprofessional. The manager tells my sister how much she paid for the room for two days. It didn't matter how much the room was it's all about the quality of service we looking for because we paid our money. So they end up putting us in another room. Well my niece brought to our attention that she had two insect bite. Then I checked myself I have bites also. The new room we moved to also received more bites. So I'm convenience they have bedbugs. This hotel needs alot off work.
