There is a basketball activity, tether ball, coming back this year the corn pit, and a little farm stand that has your decorative pumpkins on it. So very cute. They have chickens you can feed there. Goats on the farm to see. Food trucks on-site you can purchase. In addition, plenty of outdoor seatings for families to eat their lunch. The farm has barrel rides for kids, and hayride for the everyone. There is a you-pick flower where you pay $15 to pick enough flowers for your case they give you. There is a new area for you to sit down and trim and arrange your flowers. Tons of pumpkins of all assortment to pick from. Super cute for porch displays. Recently just got back from another year of being part of the harvest of the adopt a tree program…read more This particular year marks the 20th year anniversary of the program. A buddy of mine had participated in the program for about 14 years. Crazy! I don't know the fine details about the adopt a tree program, but if you're interested, you totally should look into it or do it. The fruit here is just absolutely amazing. It's used in lots of popular restaurants in the Bay Area and Los Angeles. Also, the head editor (Bill Addison) of LA Times food was asked what was his favorite fruit was and he referenced this farm and its stone fruit. I'm actually planning on going to a pie shop that uses fruit this Friday for a special event. and Los Angeles. There's a meet and greet in the morning with some instructions for some of the newer people. The you got to harvest your trees before it gets too hot outside. There was a fun light brunch in the middle of it and there was a beer tasting this time around with beers that use the fruit in their process.

My boys really enjoyed the list of things to look for while exploring. On the list we found bugs, butterflies, lizards, flowers and a few more. The garden has a few shady spots that were much needed for a break from the heat. They also have a little section of music instruments to play. We didn't get to try them but someone was playing a beautiful melody while we were there. When we were done exploring the beautiful garden we headed back to the visitor center. The boys both got stickers for completing their activities list. Inside the visitor center they also sell some beautifully crafted cups, soaps, honey and other trinkets. It was always a great way to spend some outdoor time and get fresh air. The new building in the botanical garden is incredible and 100% community funded! That means the volunteers and donors of this space fully own everything! With zero government red tape, they're able to fast track art events, adult ED classes, garden parties, and create jobs for the community. The new building is beautiful and comes with a small gift shop, selling local artist pieces, indoor meeting/recreation area, and an shaded outdoor patio. The patio is public and available for anybody who is walking the trail. We actually ate our lunch here, before walking the botanical garden trail for a nature scavenger hunt. They also cleaned up a few of the trails and opened up a few more areas for outdoor events.
