Sunshine provided service for my group for two consecutive evenings this March, including restaurant transport for a group of 8, and shuttle service for our wedding, for 30 guests. Service was provided along West County Rd 30a in SRB. Drivers were on-time each evening; the vehicles were handsome Mercedes vans (seating 13), and importantly the drivers were courteous, kindly helping our elder guest enter and exit safely. I booked an airport pickup from 30A to ECP over 2 weeks in advance since I had heard Uber was not reliable in my area at the time I needed. I called the same morning to confirm my ride, which yes, it was, and a driver had been assigned - great! Unfortunately when the pickup time came and went with no sign of the driver, I waited a courtesy 5 minutes and then called the driver to check on their status, who had apparently never gotten the memo about my pickup. The driver sounded very flustered and apologetic and offered to come get me (from over an hour away), which was not going to work for my flight time. I feel bad, they sounded like a nice person, and not sure who's fault this really was. But if you need a service that's reliable and organized, this was not it. We were pleasantly surprised when we were picked up by a driver dressed in a tux sporting a luxury SUV. He also arrived ahead of schedule. Life savers!!! After a snarky UBER driver left our family at a dark Beach access point because "the kids might be a little sandy" at 11pm - Sunshine scooped us up and saved the day!! Sunshine was great. We needed a pickup from 30A to VPS airport and booked the night before. They were very courteous and said a minivan would be picking up my family of 4 and our luggage. Derrick the driver called me 2hrs before the pickup time to confirm he'd be there....that was great. It's always a bit unnerving using a new company for a pick up to the airport, wondering if they are going to be on time. I appreciated the call for sure. Awful. Had pick up time for 4:15 in am for a 6:15 flight. When no one showed up, I called to find out driver had car trouble and no one let me know. I had to wake a friend up to drive my family to airport. Horrible way to start a trip and completely unprofessional in regards to handling this situation. Five star service here. The lady driver met us at baggage claim and offered to go to the luggage conveyor to get our stuff. Instead, we had her watch our carry one and grabbed our checked luggage. She walked us out to the car, loaded the luggage, opened the doors for us to get in. Once we were all in the car, she opened a cooler and offered us a water. Nice touch, Sunshine! As we were passing places on our way to the resort, she would let us know about different places in the area. This lady knew what she was doing and did it very well. I wish I could give 0 stars . I had a 55 person wedding on October 29th and had paid for a 56 passenger bus to pick up the wedding party from a house on Scenic 98 where the wedding was at to 9 miles to Sandestin Marina where we were suppose to get dropped of at the Solaris boat where the reception was suppose to be . Pick up time for the bus was 5pm, and the Solaris boat was to leave at 6 pm. 5:05 pm rolls around, and there is no bus. 5:10 pm I call Sunshine Shuttle and they said they are trying to dispatch the bus . 5:30 pm I had to call again and they said they are trying to dispatch the bus . Im already 30 minutes late for my sunset photos in Sandestin and I am livid. I end up living my guests stranded at the wedding location so I could go to the Sandestin Marina for my sunset photos because dispatch still has not called me back . I eventually told my guests who walked to the wedding to please call taxis and Ubers to Sandestin where the Solaris boat was. I told my guests don't drive to the wedding because a bus will take us to the reception location and drop you off back their when the reception was over . So none of my guest had cars at the wedding . So the Sunset photos were a total fail after being upset and pissed , now being told to smile for photos and the sun has already set. Now by the time all my guests made it to the Solaris it's 6:40 pm. Uber drivers dropped multiple people off at locations other than the marina so now I have to try to locate them who are walking in San Destin and they have no idea where they are at . Mind you my wedding party are all from Las Vegas and have never been to Destin before . We finally get everyone on board and the boat Leaves around 7 pm. We had the boat from 6-10 pm so now we get shorted an hour on the boat because Sunshine Shuttle never showed and the photographer till 10 pm as well . We spent 1 hour on transportation and trying to locate everyone to make sure all guests were on the boat . The Solaris Boat was nice enough to go until 10:45 for us . The photographer comes to us at 10 pm while we are still sailing and says it will be an additional $375 to go until 10:45 because we paid them until 10 pm . So now because Sunshine Shuttle never showed we are being charged an additional $375 . A family member got in touch with sunshine shuttle and they said they would pick us up from the boat to the wedding house . Of coarse when we got to the parking lot from the boat the bus was no where to be found . So now I had to tell all my guests to get an uber back to the wedding location . Unfortunately Sandestin lets ubers in only with guests . If there are no guests in the car Sandestin won't let them in . So at 11 pm in 50 degree weather , all of my guests had to walk from the Marina to the gate for a ride which is about 1/2 to 3/4 mile . I was so embarrassed . Not one phone call from Sunshine Shuttle . I called on Monday and a gentleman named Wallace said he would refund us $1100 ($750 for the bus which never showed and $350 for the photographer . Still no one has called us . Not 1 person at that company had called us . We had to do all the calling . FINALLY 8 days after them not showing up a gentleman named Donavan called us and said we would only get reimbursed $750. Nothing for being extra charged for the photographer and nothing for all of my guest having to call taxis or Ubers. Donavan said it was our fault for hiring a photographer and calling Ubers . Today is November 14th and we still have not been fully reimbursed. We haven't even been given an explanation . I have no words to describe this company . We have tried contacting them 10 times which I have phone records of and them only contacting us once . Nice on the phone, horrible service. My friend and I separately scheduled a pick up to pcb airport for 530am. They didn't have my friends reservation even though he received the confirmation e-mail and scheduled it a week earlier. I scheduled it the day before but the shuttle was going to be a half hour late and I was given no notice until I called to see the drivers eta. We had to find another ride to the airport on the fly. July 2016 Upon arrival Charlie was waiting for us with a electronic name board. He was very courteous & professional. I have called multiple times ahead of time to remove a scented plug in because I'm sensitive to chemicals. The last time I called in the guy was rude to me! I had become frustrated with the company in the past because they don't always remove the plug ins even with me requesting them to. Nevermind that's really anoying that I have to do that every single time! Before coming and before living too. He asked me how I deal with fragances at work which I told him that it wasn't his business. He said he would accommodate me. But there was a scent plug in once I got to the shuttle!!!! I asked the driver if he was told about my accommodation and he said no. Another time the same thing happened, that the message wasn't passed along. The guy on the phone even said that he was sensitive somewhat to chemicals too! He also asked me what my symptoms were to fragances, I told him I could show him my doctors notes. He said what about those that want to smell the scent (what about those like me that get symptoms from chemicals? I guess it's more important for people that smell something than for someone not to get unpleasant symptoms from a fragance. Please choose people over fragances! Huge scam. They will not disclose you pay for them to drive to your location from theirs, then charge you to your final destination. If you don't ask up front they won't tell you. To go 12 miles I was charged $70. Do yourself a favor and find a proper cab company. read more

When I arrived at the Panama City airport on business, I hopped in a Sunshine Cab. The driver was friendly and the ride unremarkable. When it was time to pay with my credit card, I had to speak to a rep at the airport and I had to read him my credit card over the phone, which made me slightly uncomfortable. I also asked that gentleman to schedule me a return ride to the airport the following morning. When I didn't receive the confirmation call that I was promised, I asked a co-worker to give me a ride to the airport and the next morning I cancelled the ride 20 minutes before the scheduled pick up. The gentleman that cancelled my request wished me well and I received a ride to the airport by my co-worker. When I landed at my destination, I received a $55 charge from Sunshine Cab. I was told the "driver was on site" - - NOT TRUE. Then after days of calling to complain about it they agreed to charge me only 15% of the ride, but my issues with this company are the following: 1. They did not inform me, but saved my personal credit card and ran it without my knowledge or any warning. This is unethical and illegal. 2. The gentleman who accepted my cancellation NEVER said there would be any kind of charge. Had I been informed, I would have taken the cab ride and not received a ride from a co-worker. 3. The company recorded all of the WRONG personal information for me except for my CREDIT CARD. They had the wrong name, phone number, address, so I never received notice that they were prepared to show up at the scheduled time the following morning. 4. No where on their reservation "form" does it mention any cancellation fee or does it say we will save your credit card and run it if we feel it necessary. While 15% of a $55 cab ride is not an enormous amount of money, it highlights this company's poor business practices and terrible customer service. I am a professional that relies on transportation of this nature when I travel for business and I was treated like a drunk teenager that was visiting the beach on spring break. I had to literally beg and plead with their reservations folks to remove the 100% charge that was originally charged to my card. Even though they seem to have the only airport contract at ECP, I will go out of my way NOT to use this company next month when I travel to Panama City again or, ever again for that mater. I will call Red Cab or one of the other reputable companies in the city. read more

I also which I could give a ZERO rating. Caution - extremely bad customer care. I used Sunshine many times over several years until recently. I scheduled an on a early morning pick-up for an 8:00 am flight out of ECP. Well, Sunshine didn't show up as scheduled at 6:15 am. Normally they are early so I waited a few minutes and then called customer service. The agent took my name and phone and placed me on hold. After more than ten minutes of total silence I finally had to hang up and drive myself to the airport. I received a call later stating they had a scheduling error and were sending someone. At that point it was too late to take the risk and I was already in route. I did express my displeasure for being placed on hold and no updates which means I had no idea what was happening. Donovan called me just as the plane door was closing and apologized and offered to pay for my parking. It was an abrupt call as the flight attendant asked me to turn off my phone - the door was closed. Later Donovan emailed me to apologize and asked me to let him know of my return information so they could pay for the parking. What a nice gesture and more than I expected - or so I thought. Well, no response from Donovan. I understand mistakes, we all make/experience them. It is the poor customer care and broken promises that can't be excused. Those are willful not an error. read more
