I called Sunshine State ac repair in Bunnell. They had mostly good reviews, but one in particular was not good. It stated that Sunshine State wanted over $450.00 for a new capacitor. I found that hard to believe. Well, turns out and it is sad to say, it is true. We needed a new capacitor also and the price was $425.00 for a new $13.00 capacitor I found online. Terrible experience with this company. We called them about our Ptech unit that stopped working and we already knew it was a circuit board and that we had a warranty on the unit but we needed someone to come out to take a look and be able to submit for the warranty. The tech came out and agreed it was the circuit board and told us that his office would handle the warranty information with the company. Of course, we didn't hear back and had to call Sunshine numerous times, with each time the girl at the office said that she is still waiting to hear back from the company about the warranty. We took it into our own hands and contacted the company about the warranty and told them everything that was going on. She said that she would contact Sunshine to get everything situated. Well, SHOCKER, Sunshine didn't answer and would not call them back. We were then forced to find a different HVAC company to come out and start the whole process over again. Thank god that the company was extremely helpful during the whole process and did the work to the agreed amount on the warranty! This company took our $50 service call fee and ran. They did want to do the work. If that was the case, they should have just said that to us when we first called and we could have looked elsewhere. But instead, they saw a chance to take $50 and run. BEWARE AT ALL COST! There are plenty of other HVAC units around this area, call them first. read more

I love this company. They are always prompt at answering and responding to service calls. They worked hard to solve our issues and never gave up on fixing our issues, which actually was a manufacturing issue and made sure the manufacturing rep came and solved the problem. Service rep Bobby is outstanding , always polite, no matter what time he has been called and he never leaves until he has fixed the issue. All I can say is I have utmost confidence when I see him at my door. read more

If you have or plan on getting a modern AC system that has one or two way communication I strongly suggest this company. They can trouble shoot with computers to diagnose the systems problem. Unlike so many companies that are more parts changers then diagnostic specialist. read more

I don't normally write reviews but feel compelled to do so. My sister is a resident in Flagler Beach Fl. and had suddenly taken very ill and was hospitalized, I flew down from RI to assist my mom with a very difficult situation. Her A/C had not been working for sometime and I had no idea who to call. I googled companies and came across Sunshine State and I was so happy I made a great choice. The women that took my call I think her name is Sandy stated she would re-arrange the schedule to get someone over which she did and she could not have been kinder. Then the tech showed up about 1 hr later his name is Bob Sr. he came with his son his level of knowledge and caring was something that you don't see in todays world. The job was very difficult he had to replace the entire vent under my sisters mobile home he was covered in dirt on a very hot day and this guy was still as pleasant as could be with a smile on his face. And the price was great too! I wish this company was in RI where I live. Also the air is working perfect. During a very stressful time for my mom and I this was such a great relief. I'm so grateful to have found this company---old fashion customer service with modern skills! read more
