Final Update - Arctic Breeze issued me a full refund. I canceled my dispute with my credit card and I bumped it up 1 star because at least they were willing to talk to me and not ignore me. I texted this company because my heat pump was heating instead of cooling and they arrived quickly the same day and fixed my unit - I thought. They replaced the shuttle valve solenoid coil for a total cost of $382.60. Not the entire shuttle valve, just the little coil held on with one screw. When I inquired about the parts warranty, the tech told me to take it up with the front office. The next day, it was blowing heat again and they said they were closed for the weekend. They came out the second time and said they repaired some wiring and charged me $51 for labor. I asked Arctic Breeze about the warranty on the part which for which they charged me $262.60 and they told me that was the "warranty price" for the part. I found the exact same part on eBay for $80. I initially offered to return their coil for a refund, but they threw my solenoid away. During this conversation, they told me they get that solenoid coil from supplyhouse.com for $70. They are so comfortable scamming people, they had no problem telling me they marked up a "warranty" part about 350%. After some back and forth, they agreed to refund me for the solenoid. They didn't see fit to refund me for the labor on the initial visit where the tech misdiagnosed my issue. After this I contacted my HVAC manufacturer and they confirmed via email that Arctic Breeze never should have charged me for the part in the first place. They also told me that warranty parts are to be returned for credit, yet the tech threw it away. Scamming in the 1st degree. He obviously knew they were not going to try to warranty the part. It's much easier to just not honor the warranty and markup the price 350%. Shame on you Arctic Breeze. How many others have you charged for warranty parts? I have filed a dispute with my credit card company for the $51 they charged me on the first visit. Update: I see Arctic Breeze has responded. I have some comments. Yes, I sent that comment about the social media storm. I sent it because you refused to honor the warranty. After I sent it, I immediately was reimbursed for the part. The part I never should have paid for, nor had to fight with you to get reimbursement. I was told upfront that parts were covered under warranty. I was never told "we're putting in an aftermarket part to get you up and running today and charging you for it instead of honoring the warranty because getting parts from the manufacturer is slow". If I had that choice, I would have gladly paid you for your speedy and friendly diagnosis (though incorrect) and fixed it myself. It's a 24V AC coil. Nothing rare or special. Yes everything is more expensive these days. I have had several tumors and have lots of medical bills. So like you, I value my income. Unlike you, I don't take advantage of people to retain it. Sure, we all make mistakes, and sometimes those mistakes have consequences. I made the mistake of trusting you to honor the manufacturer's warranty and it has cost me a lot of stress and some money. Your company misdiagnosed my unit and you should own that and not charge for labor. Your company also charged me for a part clearly covered under warranty. That was no mistake except that you did it to someone with a lot of time on their hands and a need to help prevent others from making the same mistakes I do. Your offer of a warranty on the part you provide is obviously not of any value to me since you wouldn't honor the manufacturer's warranty. If you truly believe you did, please explain to me how you honored the warranty. If I didn't have a warranty, would you have marked up the part by 700% instead of just 350%? You'll also be hearing from the Florida Attorney General's Office. Sorry I forgot to mention that earlier. read more

I have been a customer for 3 years + including their bi-annual service. Starting in December of 2023 one heat pump unit failed. this unit required them to make 5 different trips. It was a comedy of diagnostic work, installing capacitors, then fuses, then a fan motor, then an expansion valve etc. I spent over 1200.00 dollars on this repair. I had to argue with them over the bill. They lost track that I had paid a 200 deposit in their final billing at my house. They threatened to remove the work that they had completed that day. Unbelievable !. I spoke with the owner of Arctic Breeze after paying the final bill. He did not believe that their performance was poor and that his billings were excessive. I had several issues with Artic Breeze. They installed my Trane AC unit and since then had issues with both the inside unit and outside unit (On separate occasions) within 3 years of the purchase. Artic Breeze came to my home and charged a service fee both times even though I had the best maintenance plan along with an exorbitant fee to replace the part (the part was covered by the manufacturer). In both cases I called the company about the issues and they would not help me. My brother referred me to RW Aire Conditioning since he has used them for many years , and they came to my home and resolved the second issue at a lesser cost than Artic Breeze and they did not charge a service fee. RW Aire does not charge a service fee each time you call and they come over. My suggestion for anyone shopping for an AC Company is to do your homework and find out the cost of the unit you are looking to purchase along with reviews of the product then find out how much the company charges for a service call. read more

Do not trust this company to replace your A/C. I had to replace a system in my home on March 25th, 2023. The system sounded like a rocket ship taking off and I expressed those concerns with the tech. He told me that was normal because it was in the attic. My electric bill went up and not down with a "more efficient" unit. On November 8th, they came to my house to do a service call and the tech told me it was not right and that parts were not working properly and that I would not have heat. Parts needed to be ordered and the noise was not normal at all. I have been calling and calling and today, December 19th, they still don't even have the parts in the Country. I have no heat with an 82 year old Mother in my home. I asked for a replacement and Kelly told me I had to call American Standard to get it replaced. My wife and I bought our first house two years ago. We were happy with our purchase (which included a new roof!), but the existing A/C unit left a lot to be desired. It was located above our garage, in the attic, with a drain line that would drip right onto the garage floor. Arctic Breeze helped us out from day 1. We were honestly told the unit could last a week or a year, but they were happy to service it while it lasted. That unit made it through two summers with us, and we were grateful for all of the support Arctic Breeze gave us during this time. A few months ago, it became apparent that the unit was on its last legs. I called up Arctic Breeze and let them know that we were ready to install a new unit, and for all of their help over the past two years, they had certainly earned the sale, in my eyes. The paperwork was straightforward and simple. They have some great financing options available, and we chose to pay it off over two years at 0%. The monthly payment isn't too bad at all, and the A/C we now enjoy is ICE COLD. Also, wi-fi thermostats are INCREDIBLE. I'm able to set my A/C before I leave work and my house is the perfect temperature by the time I get home! The install went smoothly. The technicians were very friendly and knowledgeable. They took apart the original unit piece by piece and removed it from our attic (no small task!), and installed a beautiful new one in a much more sensible spot in our garage. They were finished up by the time I arrived home from work that day, and they explained all of the new bells and whistles, showing me how to use the new thermostat and the system. We've recently set the inspection date with the city, and I look forward to all of my future interactions with this company. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I now know what you sell and install is junk in my opinion. I talked to my father before he ever called you and he was just trying to get a model number and have you walk him through the operation of the thermostat, that was it. As far as the whole office hearing my conversation that's because I was told you had me on speaker phone. I was actually at a health fair surrounded by a bunch of people while talking with the lady and I can as well as the 20+ people assure you I was not yelling.
