Worst Scuba Pl., I've ever been to in my entire life. I've been A long time scuba enthusiast and I like to be a connoisseur of scuba stores however, the staff was extremely rude, also the variety sucks for for lack of a better word. I would definitely give this negative stars if I could but seeing that I cannot one star seems to be and overvaluation of this degenerate business. I showed up during their business hours and to no surprise they were empty because they get new customers because their service sucks. Definitely don't come here! Several months ago I Met David Lawrence Sr. through a Meetup scuba group then decided to get my Open Water certification with Scuba Quest on South O.B.T. I enjoyed it so much I've received several advanced certifications since then and have been on many dive trips all over central Florida with David, his family, employees and other divers. Everybody at the shop has been very helpful, knowledgeable and patient with all of my questions (and I had quite a few) about diving and when purchasing my personal dive gear. And the pricing is very competitive! I love the fact the shop is like a family, also a family-owned business and they have a passion for helping both children and adults with special needs of all levels at the NTC. David Sr., David Jr., Jason, Kim, Josh and Roger have been awesome and frequently I stop by the dive shop just to look at gear and wind up talking about everything under the sun. I'm diving almost every weekend, meeting new and fun people in the dive community at the dive shop, charters and clubs. Use this shop at your own risk. I purchased a defective very expensive Suunto Cobra 3 computer from them and they are not standing behind their equipment. I have emailed, called, and stopped and they have ignored me since April. All I want is a refund on the equipment. I had to send it back to Suunto for refurbishing as the shop manager didn't believe me that it was defective. Now neither the shop nor Suunto will stand behind their computer. Do yourself a favor and find a dive shop that values their customers. read more

I agree with the poor customer service at Scuba Quest. We waited till 9:25 for the manager to open the store when they were supposed to be open at 9. With no apology, Juan filled my cylinders and when I asked for the Facebook discount for checking in, he told me that they don't give discounts for checking in (even though there is a sign on the door that says they do). They he proceeded to tell me how he wishes they didn't provide fills because he doesn't make any money off it. I mentioned how air fills are loss leaders for dive shops, he of course had no clue what that was. I will go out of my way in the future to use other shops in the area who provide much better customer service with a smile. You should take care of your customers whether they are buying air or expensive gear. read more

I've completed several courses with Scuba Quest. Having trained as a diver in the Canadian Navy years ago, I can tell you that their instruction is top notch. Robby and Juan have always made the courses fun and enjoyable, yet handled professionally and ensured that everyone was safe and proficient. The open water dives were well organized at great locations and facilitated by excellent staff. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to get into diving. The overall course was ok, I went to take a refresher course, most of the employees were very friendly and knowledgeable. Dan was great, really concern and knowledgeable individual, I will give him a A+, David Jr. was outstanding very kind and knowledgeable, David the owner need a course in anger management and customer service, and how to treat people, you never should hit anybody in the shoulder, treat people with no respect, or yield at people that you don't know. read more

These people have no hearts and care about NOTHING but money! I paid $900+ for two classes for my husband's birthday for the two of us. 2 days before my 1st class, my aunt lost her struggle to pancreatic cancer. I called as soon as I got the news and the management informed me that the cannot reschedule unless given a 2 week notice (from what I've been told people on their death beds dont let you know in advance that they will be passing...) Only was we could reschedule is to pay $150 per person, so another $300!!! No sympathy for a family in a time of loss. I drove all the way to Kentucky to be with my mother and grandmother in their time of need while SCUM BAGS like Scuba Quest was sucking the money out of my pocket! I bought a Scuba Quest LivingSocial/Groupon deal for my boyfriend and I to get scuba certified and was hesitant to do so after reading the negative reviews on this website. After taking this class, I am so happy I decided to go through Scuba Quest. I cannot understand anyone bashing this shop!! The employees are all helpful and happy to assist you. Our instructor even made us breakfast our first early day! They were extremely patient with me when I made mistakes or had concerns and I felt safe with them the entire time. Our dives were amazing, definitely worth the money Groupon or not. We bought our gear from them as well and checked prices at other shops to make sure we were getting a good deal--very competitive and nice selection of quality equipment, we got many things cheaper than elsewhere offered. I tried to think of something negative to say or even a small complaint and I have absolutely nothing--they met my expectations in every way and even went over and above them. We had Robby as our main instructor (who was amazing) but were also lucky enough to have Juan teaching a rescue class along side of us so a lot of experienced eyes to make us feel comfortable. We will definitely be coming back to Scuba Quest for all of our needs as long as we're in the area. Thank you Scuba Quest for the experience of a lifetime!! read more
