According to her I was constantly in a position to flip the boat. instead of calmly working with me to show me what I was doing wrong she was yelling at me. To her, I could do nothing right. I was never so happy when the course ended. My husband was sorry he sent me here rather than Lake Fairview. My overall opinion is if Captain DJ doesn't like you you're in trouble. The guy that was with me never got yelled at no matter what he did wrong.

Which is perfect bc you can hear your music while you're pushing 43mph across the lake! And btw, 10 people were satisfied with a 2 hour rental for 2 of these bad boys. It's mostly a well thought out design but can get extremely busy on summer or holiday weekends and parking goes quick. The picnic tables are a nice addition if you're not boating there is also a nice small pavilion as well . We use this almost exclusively for our boat access for the St. John's since this area is our preferred area. Seemingly well maintained. -1 star due to lack of bathrooms.

A park to…read morelaunch The C.S. Lee Park is a small three acre place that is basically a huge parking lot and a nice boat ramp. A great place to get in the St John's River. From here you can go south into Lake Jesup or north into Lake Monroe. After that you can literally go for hundreds of miles on this beautiful river. Some fabulous fishing but definitely not a place for swimming When the temp hits 80 or over the amoeba and nasty bacteria start to multiple like crazy and can do all kinds of very unpleasant things to a person. Of course the area is also infested with large alligators and various poisonous snakes so that would be another excellent reason to keep you hands and feet out of the water. The park does have a little pavilion and some benches and it shares the same area with the Jolly Gator Fish Camp. A rather rustic place that serves good cheap food and sells bait. The parks main attraction is the very larking parking area. Plenty of room for boat trailers and large vehicles. A very convenient launch site to get into the water. Just beware of what's lurking in that lovely river.

While we waited for them to reopen, we enjoyed a stop at the bar right across the way. Once the weather cleared, which took a little longer than we expected, we headed back over. The staff was really nice and made sure we were able to get right on the water. They allow you to go out for 30 minutes, which was definitely quite the workout! I really enjoyed seeing all the different Florida birds while we paddled around. I also thought it was super cute that the boats have little umbrellas over them, which definitely helps with the Florida heat. We highly recommend choosing a cloudy day to make the most of the experience. There's also a back seat on the boats, so if you have kids with you, no worries. I was extra excited that we got the golden boat! If you're near the area, we highly recommend this experience if you want to enjoy nature and see some really cool birds. They also have a wheelchair accessible boat! : )

It was fast. It was fun and pedaling made it all more exciting! You can either cruise and let the wind take you wherever or you can pedal and go across the lake or any destination really. The staff was kind and we were lucky that the weather was on our side. Wasn't too sunny and it didn't rain. Beautiful views and a fun time with my group!
