Was on my way to my usual threading spot but happened to see this salon and decided to give it a try. Walked in around 6pm on a Wednesday and was able to get serviced within 10 minutes (there were two workers there- one doing eyebrow threading and one doing a pair of lashes). Unfortunately, I forgot to get the name of my lady but she did such a great job! She cleaned up my brows perfectly and gave me a super crisp curve which is exactly what I wanted. And it was way less painful than I'm used to. $6 total. Definitely going to be my new spot! read more

I called to book an appointment. I was informed I can walk in. I insisted on an appointment but was told they were empty at that moment to come on in. I rang again just before I got there and yes, they're still empty. Two minuets later as I pushed the door they were filled. I was like "what? I just called and you guys were empty". They joked that as we hung up everyone came in. I was still seen immediately by Deepa. She's a young looking lady (looks a teen) and I was hesitant. I asked her about eleven times to JUST CLEAN, DO NOT CHANGE MY SHAPE. I had nothing to worry about because sistah knows her ish! It was a bit painful but the end results! Warranted!!!! She kept my shape and ONLY cleaned and I do believe my face was lifted into that of a twenty-two year old! Time for a new PP. I literally stumbled upon this place just as I was walking around exploring Brooklyn. I need for an eyebrow threading, I thought to give this place a try since it might be awhile before I could head to my spot in Queens. $6 for an eyebrow thread. Not bad! The inside is bright and all pink. Definitely feels like a ladies salon. Staff is all masked and wearing hair nets so I felt safe. The place also looked clean. Sit back and listen to Nepali music videos playing in the background as they thread away those pesky hairs! lol The lady was quick and did a great job. I loved the fact that she was calm and not overly aggressive with threading or trying to sell me other services. Maybe I'll have to visit Brooklyn again for a little 'Sunshine.' :D read more

this is my new favorite threading salon. so far i have had repeated services with Anita and most recently Deepa took care of me for the first time. i like their calm non thirsty energy. they are patient and take their time. Anita waxes very thoroughly. I have had Brazilian waxes with her as well as eyebrow threading and tinting. she is gentle and has good technique. Deepa is good as well. it was my first time having her as my esthetician. Anita was with a client at the time. the salon is always clean and smells good. they don't rush your service and gives everyone their undivided attention. i have not tried their lash services yet but i will very soon. read more

Beware: you may not receive service. Calling ahead or scheduling an appointment? Irrelevant. On my third attempt at a visit, I called to ask if I could come in (at 7:08pm) and was told sure. I arrived 18 minutes later and was denied service because another customer had walked in before I arrived. What?! I thought I'd receive some sympathy when I reminded her that I had to take an Uber each way - or maybe service because of my previous tips (35% my first trip and 25% on my second), but I only received a door closed in my face. Updated review: Warning: if you go, thoroughly inspect your eyebrows BEFORE you leave and check for mistakes and over-threading/waxing! I've been coming here for about almost 4 months now faithfully and NO ONE has touched my eyebrows but Sunshine Threading. I have noticed over the past few months that my eyebrows have gotten thinner and thinner and lost their original full shape. A few weeks ago I realized that she was threading too far above my natural hairline and leaving spaces of removed hair that makes it look like someone took some clippers and put a line thru my eyebrows! Because I am a loyal customer and she did such a good job in the past, I went back and told her what happened and asked if she could wax instead (see, I gave her a chance to fix it!). I told her to NOT take off much and just to clean up the area after I took WEEKS without threading because I was trying to grow my missing eyebrow hair back! She said okay, (minding you she NEVER apologized!) and she still took off too much. I realized she may have lost her threading powers so I went back a couple weeks later again and asked her to wax this time. (See, I gave her a second chance to show another talent and make it right!). She told me that she would gradually take off small layers at a time and she would wax a second time if needed because she would only take off little by little. Well, she didn't have to go for a second layer because she took off too much and tried to cover it up by brushing my eyebrows down to hide her mistake so I couldn't recognize it until I got home! How sneaky!! And she convinced me twice to do eyebrow tinting that didn't even last a day, and both times the shad was either too dark or too light. Not ONE word of apology from her after I gave her 2 extra chances for threading and eyebrow tinting. I'm DONE. BAD service. I will NEVER go back here again! First review: Guys, I found a new eyebrow threading salon! When I first walked in I was greeted immediately by one of the stylists who was busy threading another customer. Many times at other salons when a stylist is busy working, somehow he or she feels like it's too much time and energy to say the word 'HELLO'. Not these ladies! I was impressed by getting acknowledged upon walk-in. Then, someone at the the cashier asked me what I wanted and that someone will be right with me and invited me to have a seat. They have a tv and I love how I was able to watch music videos that gave me a taste of their culture-- I enjoyed it! I waited about 7 minutes and then was in the chair getting my eyebrows threaded by Dipa. The area was clean, and so was the entire salon. Dipa asked me a few times how I was feeling as she was threading to make sure I wasn't in pain and that I was okay. She knows shape and how to deal with stubborn hairs. Most threading salons I've been to, they had to use tweezers AFTER threading because 'my hairs are just too stubborn' but Dipa was able to remove every unwanted strand of hair from my eyebrows. I usually have to go back and say "you missed a spot", but not with her, she got everything and I have a clean natural shape. She actually listened when I said I don't want anything extravagant and I told her I was skeptical and usually pluck my own eyebrows. My girlfriend talks about this place so much so everyone has to hear about it too. As the designated driver, I've had the pleasure of going in a couple of times and it's so clean. The workers are so friendly and helpful. Not to mention they are surgical with the thread. Girlfriend here! One of the best spots for threading period. I get my chin threaded weekly and went to a spot by my job and would end up leaving and coming back for them to clean up their job. Here, every hair visible to the eye gets plucked and I always leave satisfied. Soon, I'll start to get my eyebrows threaded. As for that, I haven't heard a bad complaint since from other customers. 3.5 stars.. I got my eyebrows and lashes done . I got regular lashes (not mink or silk ) they are nice however she did a better job with one side then the other . Although they look even one side she used more glue which irritated my eye and took way longer to dry then the other side which was annoying . However other than that it was good . On the plus side i got these lashes for vacay and they seem to be holding up pretty good so that's cool / she did a good job doing my brows based on my instructions for my eyebrow shape preference . Would go back but maybe not for lashes or be more attentive while she does it . read more

This was my first time at this shop. The ladies were welcoming and were super helpful. This was my first time getting my eyebrows and eyelashes done and they were so patient despite my constant blinking and tears . I felt comfortable. I was apprehensive about having someone touch my eyebrows but I told them exactly what I wanted and they delivered. I'm only leaving a star off because it's too soon to see how my eyes react to the extensions but as this is my first time getting them, I wouldn't hold it against them. i do not recommend this salon at all. i came in ready for my first brazilian sugaring experience and left out with only the top part of my vagina hairless and the rest untouched. she told me she gave me a deep brazilian instead. i asked for an entire brazilian sugaring and got nothing i asked for. il assuming because they were about to close, she did not want to do the full service i asked for and that js unfair. she claimed she did not want to do the full service because i was "jumping". i asked her was she licensed and she stated she was, so i dont understand why she didnt remain professional and do the service i paid her for to begin with. do not go! they half ass everything. btw, im a girl using my friends profile. read more
