Today I went to Sunshine Thrift store in Bradenton FL...OMG I was told on Google Maps by a review that this place was reasonably cheap! OMG...NO they are NOT! $10.99 for a shirt/Blouse is outrageous when Goodwill is $5.99 90% of the time! I will have to pass on this one! I don't think I have ever left this shop without buying something. For the most part it is pretty well organized, and prices are pretty good. I can always count on finding an article of clothing and I always get some of the popcorn that is freshly popped behind the counter. So..........even if you don't find anything else, you can get some popcorn! Friendly staff. read more

We came to Florida and of course had to find a thrift shop. As soon as we walked in we saw a sign for 1/2 off items that were red or green tagged. We had a group of teenagers with us and they went crazy. There were a lot of items we brought home with us. The store was pretty clean. They had good prices, but some items did seem a little over priced. The employees we came in contact with were really nice. read more

Good selection, mostly clothes, but also some household and media items. Maybe I am just unfamiliar with their system, but I did not understand how certain items were priced. I got some glasses with some sort of code written in wax pencil on them, but this did not seem to correlate with the price. Thankfully the prices on household items are very reasonable, so it did not matter too much. The prices on used plushes were unusually high though, which is a bummer as it can be difficult to tell how clean plushes are without seeing the stuffing. read more

The employees at this location (especially Tammy, Karla, Amy and the lady that works the dressing room. I think her name is Edith) are always so friendly and helpful. They always speak to me and ask how I'm doing. They make me feel appreciated. I always find affordably low priced items. The selection is awesome! read more

Hard to review a thrift store-- depends on what is out at the time. This place was clean and bright and the staff was very nice.

This place is a great for a thrift store. They have a wide selection of clothes and there prices are dirt cheap. There bathrooms and floors were clean. I went back twice while I was in the area and found some great vintage items. Worth the drive to check it out if your in the area. read more

Sunshine Thrift store often has unique vintage finds and great "sales" however you have to be alerted via text message (which are not consistent). BUYER BEWARE: if you go on a day when you can get items for $.50 the place will be jam packed with people who have cart piled high & there maybe 2 cashiers. So be prepared to wait. read more

I love the selection and the employees are really nice. It is clean and organized. Found a lot of clothes for my grandsons. We are here in the area because we were flooded in NC from Hurricane Florence. While talking to the manager about our situation she asked why we came to Florida as it is surrounded by water. Do not go to this place. I bought some items from them and noticed something was wrong and I went immediately back in to the store to return to 2 minutes later, but they said no refunds except for electronics. Which I was not aware of. What they are doing is wrong. They wouldn't even let me exchange it for something else. They care more about money than their customers. And I certainly will not go back. They wouldn't even make eye contact with me because they knew they were wrong. I've shopped here a few times but not anymore. I truly regretted coming into the store and shopping there. Which is never a good thing. You want people to feel good about their purchases not bad. They really need to give the customer atleast 1 day for returns.
