Meagan the chaos coordinator is the worst person to work with me and my parents we live in 1111 and we have a fridge that needs a sealing for the two fridge door and the freezer door needs a new seal for them and she said that she ordered it and it didn't come and now we're leaving on may 23rd and never coming back. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place was nothing but horrible. They changed managers 3x within the year that I lived there. If living there wasn't bad enough , between never fixing anything and managers changing constantly.... The move out was by far the worst. I had my apartment professionally cleaned and they charged me $393 in cleaning fees. They went as far as to charge me saying my cabinets needed sanded and restained and showed me pictures of 2 finger prints on cabinets. The cabinets were wet when I moved in from staining and I wasn't able to use them for 2 more days after I moved in. Absolutely whatever you do don't move here. If you have no other choice , please do me a favor and do not clean your apartment. They will NEVER give your deposit back and charge you ridiculous fees. I am a very clean person and to say my apartment needed $393 in cleaning fees is ludicrous. Take my advice and stay clear. read more

Save yourself a lot of trouble and go somewhere else. Robbed twice in one year. Their whole staff quit and no one was running the facility for a week. Their amenities like dog wash, car wash, exercise machines typically don't work. Will penny and dime you, like most rentals. read more

Although in a good location for great schools, the Y, and Dillons, Sunstone does need a little work. The apartments are nice, and the amenities are great. I lived there from the time they were newly built until this year, and they have had a lot of turnover in maintenance staff. Sometimes work orders aren't done in a timely or efficient manner. They need to work on replacing air filters like they're supposed to as well. They do charge for some things once you move out that in my opinion should be normal wear and tear, but the property manager is willing to work with you on that. My advice is just to make sure you document everything in regards to how the apartment looks when you move in. read more

Be careful when you move out! They are nice when you are paying the rent, but when you move out, they will use your money to replace things that are normal wear and tear. We are charged over $700 when we move out, even we cleaned the apartment for a whole day and the apartment is very clean( we only lived in that apartment for several month). Very disappointed. That's why their rooms look nice, because they are going to use your money to make their properties always new: carpet cleaning, painting and replacement after you move out! They will pick a teeny tiny flow to have you pay a new one. Do not recommended. read more

Great location and management is just wonderful. Beautiful apartments and spacious. Couldn't ask for a better place to live. It's home!

I loved living there. It was a close walk to the YMCA. However, they will nickel and dime you for everything. I had to replace my carpets, which I argued they were fine. But the carpets were thrown away without asking me if I wanted them. Who pays like $900 for something and doesn't get to keep it? read more

Had two leases here over the last 4 years. Boy did things do downhill since the first time! Great location and good looking apartments but management isn't holding up their end of the deal lately. Landscaping has deteriorated, lots of plants removed and not replaced, outdoor lighting frequently doesn't work. Maintenance repairs had to be redone several times. Worst of all was the move out process the second time around. After first lease about 3 years ago I got back all of my deposit. Left the second apartment in the same condition last fall and had Stephanie keep all of it plus ask for $60 more! Claimed $225 of painting due to "mars and scuffs" as well as another $200 in laminate repairs for bottom of drawer and inside cabinet wear and tear, not to mention mandatory $75 carpet cleaning fee which apparently wasn't there in the first lease. read more

I really like the place. Been living here for half a year, never had a problem. I really wish this place was anti-pet friendly though. If I owned this nice of an apartment complex I would never allow pets. I occasionally hear dogs bark inside the unit and that is really the only downside. Not sure what is up with my generation of millennials always wanting to "rescue/save a dog". My opinion, let the animal remain unloved at the shelter/ starving on the street and pay off your dumb student debt first. There will always be cats and dogs to rescue, so don't lose any sleep over helping yourself. Anywho, I really enjoy the discount at the Y! I find it odd that every lightbulb was an incandescent, most of which were odd and unusual shapes that made it difficult to find replacements when they burnt out. So I replaced all of them with LEDs. The other comments on here about air filters is nonsense. Air filters are $5 at Ace Hardware for 90 days, but to my knowledge they have changed it at least once since I moved in. This complex is on the edge of town so there is more nature. Think: spiders, lady bugs, beetles, not any roaches (that I have seen). The unit has sprayed and I also spray for bugs. Just thought of this, there is no tornado shelter. The complex's policy is to head over to the Y, should there be tornado... I guess we will have to tell the tornado come back at a time when the Y is open. I really love the GIANT kitchen counter tops! I think the other commenters on here are not aware of how the exit/clean up at an apartment complex works. Carpet cleaning is probably $150, or more if you "saved" a dog. If you damaged a wall, you have to mud, sand, and paint which can take multiple coats and cannot be done in one sitting. Then there is manual cleaning for everything you forgot: behind stove and refrigerator, microwave, calcium buildup on bathtub. So its not that unlikely a $400 security deposit will turn into a $100 refund. Also to the people who think this place is expensive, then you should have more financial sense. If the rent is more than 25% of your take home pay then you should probably find something else that you can afford and/or not rescue any pets. If your pet is for mental health, then please get a properly trained pet. It's an absolute disgrace for you to take a mut off the streets and print out some card to claim it's a qualified service animal. read more
